Way better, the ps4 was a let down when it comes to actual exclusives and the wii u has gotten these exclusives announced:

(not including wii fit u for the soccer moms/pokemon rumble u)
Dissapointed that the next gen according to Sony will be more of the same in a more beautiful package. Because if that I think Wii U can actually get a surpising comeback as it has the potential to attract games that can't compete on graphics on PS4 combined with (hopefully) a massive Virtual Console library and HD Nintendo games.
Nintendo dropped the ball with Wii U on many fronts imo, but there is a clear path to succes (to be clear, winning the console war is not what I mean with succes, if Nintendo can sell N64 amount of consoles would be good imo).
Wii landed in the market with a wet splat and only is looking worse as time goes on. The PS4 looks like a great piece of hardware with lots of developer support and some great social features.
Anyone who says better is lying to themselves
It's focused on 3DS.
Remember at Wii U's first E3 people said..."the 3rd party games are coming, you just need to wait till next E3", at its second E3..."they are coming, wait till pre launch event", still no games. Now it's..."we might see them at ND".
Time to give up on the dream, Nintendo is on its own.
What exactly does the Gamepad bring to the table that's so unique and innovative? There hasn't been a single compelling use for it yet in terms of gameplay. Compare that to the Wiimote which was a completely unique experience right out of the gate (and why it took off). The Gamepad has shown no signs whatsoever of it being a game-changer in any way.
Will most likely end up getting a wiiu this year and a ps4 next year. Wiiu will have amazing games this year. Next year is when the ps4 will shine. Could change come e3 but thats how i feel as of now. Cant pass up that ninty first party.
Sony's future can look as bright as scary. On the one hand they will have a nice high end machine.I have PS3, Wii and Wii U. Because of the conference I was thinking on my companion for the Wii U. I reflected on what exclusives I played on the PS3 and only the Uncharted games (have all) and GoW3 blew me away. I played KZ2, Resistance and infamous and neither of those pull my interest for next gen. Given this I am on the fence between getting PS4 or a Nice PC or even wait for steam box. Hell I am going to even consider MS if what they show pulls my interest. Right now I am more inclined for a PC based on the games I have for PS3 (Bioshock, Batman AA, BF BC2, Ratchet ACiT, CoD MW2, CoD BOps, NBA2K13, Fifa 13, Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2, Crysis, Infamous, Uncharte Series)
Basically. The PS4 will be largely irrelevant in the success of the Wii U, just as PS Move and the Vita have been. Nintendo's real threat going forward is in the erosion of the $30-$60 software market.No one buys a Nintendo system to be wowed by its graphics or tech, at least not as their main focus.
Nintendo's selling point has always been their quality first party.
That being said, the WiiU need to start releasing more first party games to stay relevant.
Wasn't aware.The 3DS ND you're talking about happened this morning. Iwata also promised a Wii U 3rd party Direct, that's supposed to be coming soon.
Then it won't sell, and it'll be a non-issue. I'm having a difficult time following your point. All I'm saying is that it's odd to assert that Killzone looks stale and is just another FPS game and therefore it's boring because it's retreading the same old territory in one breath, and then in the other be looking forward to Nintendo's lineup as something fresh. I'm honestly not sure what's controversial about this observation. Your only stake in this seems to be to knock Killzone down a peg, which seems inconsequential to the conversation.
I've never played a Killzone game and am somewhat tired of FPS games as well, but that doesn't make Nintendo's lineup of desired titles a shining beacon of original ideas.

I seriously doubt Nintendo has some secret 3rd party games coming, exclusives or multiplatform.
You completely ignored the question/point in the quoted post, which actually says a lot.Can you provide any examples of the Sony expanding the medium past better graphics?
Killzone demo:
-Scripted flyover
-Scripted walking through environment
-Scripted explosion
-Player character is immobilized but instantly recovers and becomes super soldier
-Linear level
-Chest high walls
-Iron sights
-Enemies just standing around
-Scripted on rails set piece segment
Sony choosing to highlight this specific game sends a strong signal that they view next gen solely in presentation terms, not game design ones. You can say you weren't compelled by Wii U software all day (and you will) but it's ignorant to say they aren't at least trying.
Hasn't been posted on GAF, several ambitious indie exclusives are coming this spring: http://nintendoenthusiast.com/13065/wii-u-indie-games/Wasn't aware.

RIP Wii U
2012-2013
U should have know better Iwata. Launching a weak machine in 2012 is not a wise move.
Sony showed a piece of hardware that's probably around $500 that doesn't really have any appealing software that's going to sell anyone on the console.
I honestly think nintendo feels pretty good after watching that.
Snip.
I'll let you guys play console fanboys, I'll play and enjoy both![]()

Same for me.
I like Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games.
I like Sony consoles for non multi games and some sony franchises.
I keep saying that :
- WII U will have a great September 2013-2014 season
- Pack in games at same price or a little price cut.
- PS4 won't be out in Europe this year
- PS4 will be 450 euros +, so, i'll wait for better games and <=400 console, late 2014.
Yesterday's conf was just too generic and there was no magic game that gave me chill, i'll wait for E3 to have a real opinion about PS4.
Jeez I hope you are wrong. Sony don't, please, I can't even wait until the Christmas, I can't imagine another three months later.
This is almost delusional. What games do Nintendo currently have that anyone can point at and say "this will sell consoles"? A HD remake of Wind Waker?
Smash Bros needs to be some seriously hot shit if they want to stay competitive for the next 5 or 6 years at least.
Man, it's amazing what 7 months can do. I thought that Zelda tech demo looked amazing last year and now it looks average in comparison![]()
The weak machine won the last three console generations. What changed in 2012?

I don´t think it´s really hard to understand, due to its genre (FPS) there are a lot of very similar games and especially in this gen that got waves and waves of FPS it´s not surprising that some people get tired from this genre and isn´t exactly something fresh except a new coat of paint.
The contrast to that is that Nintendo makes a lot of games in genres that aren´t supported by other publishers, this means there aren´t many similar games to begin with. To make an example Pikmin3. a) the last game releases in 2004 b) there aren´t many similar games. Therefore it´s no rocket science that it feels to be a much fresher experience. Also Nintendo in most cases only releases only 1 entry on a system, which is quite different to what happens for example tp Call of Duty, Assassins Creed. Even the critisised NSMBU series has only seen one entry per system so far.
You completely ignored the question/point in the quoted post, which actually says a lot.
Weak machine with MOST games released for it won the last three generations.
So the Wii U is already out of running for that race.
The Dreamcast won its generation?
Plus, there's a danger in equating (or at least implying) correlation with causality. After all, when was the last time the console that launched first win its generation?

So far, when Sony launched first with a headstart of more than a half year they won, when Nintendo launched first or in the same period it was Nintendo. Examples:
PSX vs N64 -> PSX
PS2 vs GC -> PS2
DS vs PSP -> DS
Wii vs PS3 -> Wii
3DS vs PSV -> 3DS
Until we 100% know that footage is rendered in real time on a ps4, the Zelda demo wins as that was at least confirmed running on very early Wii U dev kits and interactive on a Wii U gamepad.
I think the Zelda demo isn't that far behind still.
