Funnily enough, as true as this is, it's also my biggest worry. Looking back to at the start of this generation and you see the same stuff you see at the start of every generation: developers fumbling as they try and get used to the tech. As always, the best looking games come later on in a system's life, when developers understand the tech and can better optimise.
This is Nintendo's entry into this level of technology, and though I expect they're preparing the best they can, I hope they can avoid launch title-itis. Because, fact of the matter is, it's going to be hard to take launch title games with hardware growing pains and put them up against heavily optimised graphically demanding games like God of War: Ascension and Uncharted 3. Or even Halo 4.
It's easy to say that Nintendo has the skills and talent to do it, but the proof will be in what the show. I hope they can do it, because the hardware obviously will allow them to. Their biggest hurdle will be jumping into the deep end, and not going through the same learning process that everybody else did years ago.
