I really wish I could have gotten the ok to go to E3 this year. Console launch Years are alaways fun though at the same time I know it will be a madhouse heh

Look on the bright side.. you'll be better able to keep on top of all of the news from the comfort of your computer chair.

(I know.. cold comfort..)

So guys, we should know what the Nintendo Power cover story is by Wednesday.

Other then that, our hope mostly lays in leaks until June 4th.

That two tone casing idea would be kick-ass. I'd go for white and dark grey as well. Or perhaps removable backplates. (not a chance in hell)

What's the hint for next month's NP?

Wasn't ideaman considering not making his thread tomorrow due to his info not being verified or something? I thought I saw a post from him this morning saying as much...

Ok, that button many think could be the Vitality Sensor???

You press it and it changes the color of the controller casing to fit your mood at the time.

I'm thinking that if it's rigid plastic, it might not be conductive/sensitive enough to sense vital signs. Nintendo has stated that when they use such a feature, they want it to work for 99% of the population, and I'm skeptical that such a square would fit that criterion.

Yeah. I told him he should post it here first and we'd look through it. Dunno what he'll decide, though.

We need a mood ring peripheral.

I'd also suggest having pet rocks, but it looks like Spyro: Skylanders has got that covered.

I went on eBay and Amazon earlier this week to look at how much it would cost to get the game and all of the figurines for the game. HOLY. CRAP.

Too much. Incredible.

Yeah, I'm not one buying that it's a Vitality Sensor, it's a cute guess but I'm not convinced.

It's actually the button that automatically upscales all Wii games to HD.

OK enough with the Vitality Sensor.

This is how it works:

Sorry about the size but I want people to take notice this time.

Basically a certain wavelength of light is emitted on one side of the finger. Your blood absorbs some of this light and the rest travels through the finger. The light that travels through the finger is measured by a sensor on the other side of the finger.

From this you can calculate the amount of light that was absorbed by the blood and hence can determine different characteristics of the blood and blood flow when measuring over a period of time when there are changes in the amount of light being absorbed.

I look forward to trying it with Sadness.

Yup. And if the user has any sort of physiological problem that results in inhibited bloodflow to the extremity, the device often doesn't work.

What raised my eyebrows was Iwata's 99% comment. We're lucky if we can get medical-grade hospital equipment to work on 99% of the population. If hospitals have trouble meeting that set standard, there's no way Nintendo is going to reach it.
