I'm ignorant about timezones outside of the US, when will this be plopping in the EST?

6:00 PM Eastern tonight, yes.

How much extra content is in EE? I think I heard someone say it was like, 4 hours of content? IS that 4 hours including the DLC quest that was added in 1.3, or is it 4 hours of entirely new content?
OH YES YES YES
Shall be ready to play when I get home tonight around 8:30 then! I'm beyond excited.
I played with pad in my first run. Would everyone recommend kb/m on the 2nd?
Sounds like a plan. I loved the pad controls though so I like to basically sit back and relax while playing. Decisions. We shall see!
They released a "Whats new" video a while back that says "All previous DLCs + new content" so Im assuming the 3-4 extra hours theyve been saying is new stuff aside from what we already got.

I much prefer the KBM. You have to go through the pause menu to reach the map and the journal with a pad, which I didn't like.
If you played through the game once with a pad, I would totally recommend trying your second run with the KBM.

The 360 version supposedly has better lightiing but no word on if that made it to the PC version. They did list a bunch of fixes:
Some of those could be graphics related but Im not familiar enough with the lingo to know.
These are all bug fixes. I swear they had talked about adding some additional DX11 support to the game, like improved tesselation.
Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence
Frequent/Intense Realistic Violence
Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity
Infrequent/Mild Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References
Frequent/Intense Profanity or Crude Humor
Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes
Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes
As long as they fixed the shadow dithering I won't really care.
This was definitely my biggest complaint with the original PC version. Hopefully that's been fixed.
I thought this was definitely coming to pc version with the EE? So confused. The 360 version supposedly has better lightiing but no word on if that made it to the PC version. They did list a bunch of fixes:

Well guess I am going to start a Kickstarter to have the lighting changes ported to PC. Thanks for the info guys.
Mind you, a lot of people on the CPR forums are hardcore PC guys who will defend whatever PC stuff there is, so don't take my word for it. Eurogamer reported it would be in the PC version, and they're a lot more reliable than any of my Master Race bretheren.
According to several users on the CPR forums, the PC version doesn't look any different in terms of lighting. That's a shame, because I think the relit stuff looks great.
This thread is where the PC EE shots are (1st post, click the spoiler text):

Im split on the new lighting. I thing it looks better in some parts, worse in others.
These are all bug fixes. I swear they had talked about adding some additional DX11 support to the game, like improved tesselation.
maybe if a enough fuss is made they'll incorporate the lighting changes to the pc version. cdpr are pretty open to the community.
Probably, but it may just be that there was some tech limitation on the 360, and they had to redo most of it to make it work without looking bad.
Another bug I found, wonder if anyone else is encountering this, since this is much more troubling than the two other bugs I found above:
there is no tesselation in witcher 2. It's DX9 game.
Also their art is so good that they don't need tesselation.
I had a few questions about TW2:
1. Is there a regular day and night cycle?
As a plasma tv user:
2. Is there a way to reduce the opacity of the HUD or can be made to disappear to completely when not in combat?

1. yes
2. no
1) Yes
2) Not automatically, although you can press the 'H' key to disable the HUD at any time during gameplay.

I'm just curious but have you installed the game?
A question about the beginning of act 2:
? Sorry for this stupid question, but during this scene a phone rang and I forgot to pause.King Helset was fighting with that girl. While he was going to finish her, a hodded man tried to stop him, but king killed him. Was it someone important
I wonder if there is a console counter part to that. Thanks.
Yes I did.
Wasn't there word that it did carry over?
CDPR said that any additions and enhancements made to the 360 version will make it to the PC version but It looks like this new lighting wasnt added if you judge the screens. I have no idea why but it is what it is. I guess they dont consider it an "enhancement" despite it looking better in some parts.
This question may have been answered already, but does anyone know of a thread similar to this one, only with non megaupload links? Trying to find a semi-similar to my own Witcher 1 save without having to replay it.
