Yes.

I did, at least. Wasn't easy, but I pulled it off.
I've read a handful of reviews, here's my 5c on some of the hotter topics.
RE Main Quest: Few of the reviews downplay it, some outright praise Geralt's personal journey. That's something to remember, maybe for new Witcher fans. An overwhelming majority of RPGs place the protagonist in the middle as the chosen one/god/hero/lord of everything. The series isn't like that. Sweeping changes happen, but often as a backdrop or around your character rather than to or purely because of your character. Keep that in mind you'll always, in a way, play second fiddle to the world itself.
RE Endings: Reviews are divisive but remember there are multiple endings with variations OF those endings based on progress of the plot. It seems you just kinda get a summary of how it all ended, for better or worse. You're never guaranteed a happy ending. Or a cathartic abundance of closure. Maybe your ending will be exactly as you wanted. Or maybe it will be unexpectedly tragic and a bit of a downer. That's how these games roll. The Witcher 2 fucking ended on sorcerer/sorceress genocide and a mass invasion, neither of which you could prevent.
RE Fetch Quests: Seems the main quests are the culprit, and I could see how: you're probably tasks with far reaching "get X of Y" to progress. But most reviews don't paint fetch quests in the same way people are familiar with from the likes of Inquisition and Skyrim. Most reviews praise context and development of quests. Most quests in games can be distilled down to basics of fetch, but context is key. And that context, along with ramifications, sound like the game's biggest strength.
The Witcher 3's world is supposedly 2.5 times larger then Skyrim's world.
We are talking about 14 square miles (Skyrim) with 52 square miles (Witcher 3)
I love Skyrim so this is no knock against that game. I just think more memory would allow for the freedoms of having larger scope overall.

With review copies out, it shouldn't be too long before DF publish their faceoff, right?

this but he better limit his spoilers as its gonna be a while till I watch it in that case...
You look very sensitive about what was talked about. I'm just giving you a tip about caring less about what other people think, you might just be a bit more likeable this way and have more fun also. It's a win-win situation for everyone.

Why did everyone get PS4 copies to review? seems weird. I mean I will be playing there but I thought Xbox had a marketing deal. Wouldn't they want people to review that copy?
I doubt that. Would still be nice to have impressions from all versions.

wait, isn't this co-marketing with xbone?
why are they giving out ps4 copies only? whaaa???
are they hiding the xbone version after showing only xbone (or pc with xbone prompts) all these years...or do they want the reviews to show ps4 buttons so to remind people that it is indeed coming to ps4?
Damn those fucking scores. GOTY right here folks.
People should learn not to listen to developers tell you how good their game is. Look at the size of the game world and the reported playtime. Of course it is packed with fetch quests.
What enemy is that!? Took quick to tell the name

Just awaiting for confirmation from our president.
SAME.temptation to get is rising.

I hate that his helmet disappears when he cuts his head off.. Arrghh.
That's good. Reviewers tend to be more critical and emphasize negatives on reviews but they might not always mention that these are being brought to the forefront without necessarily being that bad.
I wonder if the President could get the game early if he wanted to. Like as soon as the game goes gold: "Olivia.... Get CDPR on the line."
A drowner.
Charming - Not perfect, but it's easy to ignore the rough spots when faced with so many engaging design decisions and entertaining moments. A memorable game that's hard not to like and recommend to others.
no its not. sub 30fps means the runs below 30 all the time like gta5 and tlous on ps3.
To assist those individuals trying to make the most informed purchasing decision possible, I've helpfully compiled what I feel to be a fair and representative collection of excerpts from the higher profile reviews.
Gamespot: "[the game] is prone to... bugs and visual glitches... perpetual loading screens... jarring... pop in."
Game Informer: "... long load times. Breakable weapons interrupt the adventure. [Ciri sequences] far from exciting... locations difficult to access, lacking good fast-travel locations. Witcher sense... overused... [ending] rubbed me the wrong way, disappointment lingered long after the credits rolled."
IGN: "main quest... mundane, even perfunctory... technical [caveats], 30fps... too much to ask, transitions between maps... too long... glitches... pop up. ...too much padding in the form of meaningless fetch quests and collectathons."
Kotaku:"...shortcomings in the enemies' artificial intelligence... the developer's technological ambitions... overwhelm the PS4's capabilities and the frame-rate and responsiveness become a real problem... inventory management... a real mess."
PCGames.de: "Spreche Meinen besten Dank aus... Chr. Rex"
I haven't had a chance to see how the actual numerical scores are shaping up, but assuming that these excerpts accurately represent the prevailing sentiment, well...
You'd think people would have doubted that more the second they angled TW3 towards the whole "giant open world game" style. There is assuredly a shit ton of totally predictable busywork type quests & objectives in this game.

Back in 2011, Polish prime minister Donald Tusk gave U.S. president Barack Obama a copy of The Witcher 2, because it's pretty much the best thing Poland has ever done.
Sadly, Mr. Obama doesn't seem to have actually played it, as he reveals in this new talk recorded by Poland's TVN24. Here's the full quote, via a PR rep for The Witcher:
"The last time I was here, Donald gave me a gift, the video game developed here in Poland that's won fans the world over, The Witcher. I confess, I'm not very good at video games, but I've been told that it is a great example of Poland's place in the new global economy. And it's a tribute to the talents and work ethic of the Polish people as well as the wise stewardship of Polish leaders like prime minister Tusk".
Feeling nostalgic for the days when you moderated these threads, EatChildren?
He's waiting for the PC version.
Day one patch for PC and Xbox weren't ready, only PS4 review copies were made available.
I was hoping for a shark or a strictly underwater enemy
