I'm about to make a really bold statement. But I truly believe it.
I think Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG ever made. Dead serious
I don't think it is that bold. It certainly is debatable, but this game is easily one of the front runners.

Yes, goosebumbs. Had to actually hold my mouth because the sceneThe soundtrack for Ladies of the Wood is so fucking good.
Is there any reason to pick up notices from the board that appear to be just notes? Are those basically there for atmosphere and immersion?
I'm not saying the game is hard, I'm.saying the combat sucks. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty.
I went back and forth on this one so much. The game knows you will too. It let me back out at the last second.

Same here. It basically felt like that specific choice was made for me to properly role play it.Yup. I did the same thing...went down the full path one way and then when it gave me the out at the last second I took it. It felt right considering I was questioning it so much internally.
You might be misunderstanding my comment? I'm not saying any system is better or worse. I'm a giant fan of all three of these series.
My analogy (which you're free to pick apart) was that Batman/Mordor's combat is a light, forgiving system (Mario Kart), Bloodborne's is deep and difficult, but still fundamentally an arcade system (PGR), and The Witcher 3 is almost going for full blown simulation (Gran Turismo). All are great, but they're going for different levels of depth.
I do not understand the Bloodborne combat comparison. It makes no sense. The games are fundamentally different, and honestly Bloodborne type combat in a game like this just wouldn't fit at all.
I loved the shit out of Bloodborne but thank god Witcher 3 doesn't play like that game
I actually like it.Tracking bolts and crossbow are your friend underwater. As for swimming, it's pretty simple. Hold square alone to dive (DS4 controls), press forward and X to swim, hold O alone to ascend. I am having no issues swimming at all.
The get full arms.Do the upper level upgrades of the Cat/Feline armor keep that damn t-shirt look?
Does anyone know whether enemies blocking your sword strikes reduces durability faster than getting a hit in on them?
I've been wondering whether I should be being so cavalier with my strikes when enemies are parrying me
This. I absolutely loved Bloodborne and especially its combat but I'm more than glad Witcher does its own thing. People who want Dark Souls/BB combat implemented on every goddamn new game are getting very tiresome.
I think it deserves being in that conversation. I really want to try Pillars of Eternity but as of right now, Witcher 3 is just blowing my mind with what they've delivered to us.I'm about to make a really bold statement. But I truly believe it.

Thank God. I can't seem to find pictures of the finished armor sets for any of them. The get full arms.

I'm approaching this conclusion as well. This game is scary good
You can always take it slow play safe, but the monsters are too aggressive in groups, I can't count all the times when drowners basically leapfrogged off each other to keep me in a chain of dodges and rolls and did not leave me an opening until I had jumped out of their territory and they run back to their patrol spot.
I really hope there's a Gwent fix in this weeks ps4 patch. I was really looking forward to the minigame...
fix for what? the crash at the beginning? that just happens once, it's okay afterwards, the minigame is super fun
Wow wasn't expecting that. Over the weekend I cleared all the ? in Velen to the east but just checking on the map now I'd say about another 10 have popped up.
Griffon and Feline gear.
I like the combat but I agree here. The tethering is a real bummer too, as despite these massive open spaces monsters refuse to chase or fight a few yards from their programmed spawn location. Too often exhilarating duels get ruined because enemies decide to go back to their little playground. Almost cheesy how easily you can remove one or two during that stage, and I kind of hate it.
Not as bothered by the aggression though, I like the dance of dodges while waiting for an opening, or creating one with magic/bombs.
