Did anyone else feel bad for
Skjall? Dude got his first kiss from Ciri and was about to get more. Right before that was about to happen his little village is attacked and he gets slashed in the back. Ends up dead only to have Yennefer play with his dead body and soul. I thought to myself "I hope Skjall doesn't die" while playing the flashback only to remember that it was a flashback.
Two Ciri sections done and, well, I can't say I'm really enjoying them at all.
Maybe it's partially because I've never liked playing through flashbacks. We already know she survived these events, we wouldn't be where we are if she didn't. It's a foregone conclusion. I dunno, could just be me.

. Is there actually an heirloom chest or was the lady completely lying?
I just had a weird moment. Was sliding down a hill, fell into a cave and as I was falling there was a fart sound. Died from the fall and another fart sound played. It autosaved as I discovered the cave entrance from the fall. Every load, same thing would happen with the farts.
Playing on PC, really like the game, I'm at about level 10.
That said, thus far the questing has been: "You want help to find A, do B for me", "Oh you need B, please talk with C", "Need to speak with C? I'll tell you after you satisfy D", ad nauseam. I really like the dialogue between characters (which I usually skip over in most games), but I feel like I'm just completing nested quests all the time. Questing in games (in general) needs to evolve.
That's really just a minor gripe with an otherwise amazing experience so far. The game is gorgeous. Not quite sure I'll complete the main quest though.

I'm thinking about reloading a previous save because I think letting Triss leave messes up a few quests and chances to meet new character.

Hit a point in a main quest where I can't progress. Haven't played any Gwent so far but I have to beat three guys now. I can handle one but the other two have more cards than me and can do shit like summoning multiple other cards. No way to win with my current deck.

It's the Get Junior quest. Need to investigate three locations. No other dialogue options than Gwent at one of them.
Unless I can get through it from the other locations.
Started this on PC with keyboard and mouse but I'm finding it very fiddly in combat. Dodging is tough, rolling is too far, remembering locations of potions/food doesn't seem to be working so I might switch to my XBONE controller.
What's the general synopsis on this? Go to Controller? Stay with M&K? Use both?

There's also a subquest of working with clever that you and a group of dwarves go to each location and kill them (you get paid for this 150 crowns each area)

You mean those red icons that come and go? I've been seeing those too. They seem a bit smaller than enemy markers though, and they seem to disappear at random so I assumed they were something else. But yeah it's irritating

First major issue, regarding the Master Armour quest.
If I have to kill a troll that's level 24, and the suggested bloody level is only 24, then don't fucking give me level 27 armour that I can't bloody wear yet

Sure they aren't below ground? Quite alot of tunnels from caves that are far away.

sure they're enemy markers? sometimes if a herb or point of interest is below your current elevation it will have a red down arrow by it which can look like an enemy marker.
*edit, what the other poster said as well, something it may just be an underground cave.

well yeah but somehow I manage to be less bummed about knowing the destination, somewhat. Game's writing is just real good.

Did you try rolling immediately after loading the game to possibly reduce the fall damage or mitigate it entirely.
