Anyone else on PC having problems with the game freezing while in the inventory screen?
Yeah. Downclocking my card seems to have fixed it (at least for now, might just be luck).

Interesting on ps4 crashing and black water glitch. Been on xbox one for 4 hours no crashes, and minor audio glitch. That's all. Anyone on xbox one crash yet or see the black water?
Some of these comments about PS4 stuttering and crashing, coupled with GTA V movements are starting to give me a panic attack.
When starting the game I selected to simulate a TW2 save, do I still get to choose at some point what I did last game or does it just randomise it?
Does selecting no give you a quiz or something to fill out?
I changed to PS4 from PC so I'd kinda like the big decisions to still be what I chose
So how DAI-esque is the world with filler bullshit?
I'm thinking people mostly commenting on movement feeling weird didn't play the last two Witcher games. The controls are for sure different feeling than most 3rd person RPGs
Simulate means you want to pick the choices during the story. Off means default choices.
Movement feels waaay too sluggish. And I still can't believe there's no keybinds to cast specific signs. The scenery is nice, but when the controls both in and out of combat feel this bad it really hampers my enjoyment.
I've done two and a half playthroughs of Witcher 2 in the last couple weeks. It felt nothing like this.
M+KB, for what it's worth.
I'd like to know the answer to this as well.

Well, that may be an explanation, but it certainly isn't any excuse. It needs to be addressed. It's really beginning to grate on me. Just include an option in the settings so I can adjust the text to where I'm sitting, be it three feet, five feet or ten feet.Every time I have this complaint, which is like 95% of non-Nintendo titles, all I can think is that there's never a point in the development of the game that the devs bothered to test it from > 3 feet away. They probably barely test it beyond monitor/desk lengths.
Nah, Geralt's out of combat movement is definitely sluggish and janky. Almost feels like crazy amounts of input lag at times.
Witcher 2's movement wasn't good either, but it was a bit better than this. It's not terrible by any means, but definitely my biggest gripe so far.
Don't worry about it. It's the kind of euro-jank you should expect. Especially considering the size of the world they are going for. I've not had much problems with stuttering and no crashes at all. The controls are mostly fine when out in the world but they do shit the bed whenever you are indoors. It isn't a game breaker.
PS4 version is pretty janky. Movement feels weird, there's quite a bit of stuttering too. This is my first Witcher game so maybe it will just take some getting used to. Feels much different than Bloodborne which I finished a few weeks ago.
Playing on a PS4, first Witcher game, I gotta say the game feels janky as fuck...movement, how the character interacts with the environment, the camera...I've already encountered serious framerate shit during cut scenes....I'm not sure what to think.
Yeah, I find it really odd that nearly none of the reviews I read mentioned the control issues...it's not game breaking for me, but definitely a hamper to my enjoyment.
Ha good to know I picked the right choice. Simulate here.Simulate = choices once you reach a story point.
Not simulating = default canon choices, which I don't think they've disclosed.
I've actually found a couple '?' that have turned into some actual quests. There was the one in the prologue thatSo there is points of interest that are a ? on the map. These seem more filler and less interesting. More like treasres, bandit camps, monster nests, etc. The secondary quests themselves though are all pretty involved or interesting. The world comes to life here versus Dragon Age which felt very sterile at times.
Looks like you can break sidequests at least if you do things in the wrong order. On this quest I managed to do some steps apart from their intended order and now can't finish the quest at all. Have an earlier save I can load to do it again, but still kinda lame they didn't take things like this into account.
Remember to use multiple save slots, and save often.

Well at least with the keybind signs thing, it sort of makes sense, for a reviews perspective. Everyone's been playing console versions, and I ASSUME that the only way to select signs is on the radial wheel. No one would've had the opportunity to be frustrated at the lack of 1 button keybinds for specific signs cuz no one was playing PC.

Having never played the witcher series before, and having come straight from bloodborne...these controls are terrible.
PS4 stuttering?
Better wait for a patch.
Definitely had some stuttering during cut scenes on xb1,especially the cool opening scene.
The game asks whether I should simulate choices from a previous game... I never played much more than a few hours of Witcher 3. What should I choose there? I'd like to have the chance to make my own choices on the back story like I read about.
I played for 3 hours and I'm really loving it so far. I've just been going around the starter town doing quest (it seems I've done all the obvious ones at this point, cleaned out the board).
The only thing I'm curious about is, in 'White Orchard', did you guys have enough stuff to be making potions and getting weapons/armor made from schematics? I feel like I've been picking stuff up and have so far done all the quests I've seen, but I can't make anything with what I've got. Is 3 hours in too early to really be able to get into that stuff? Or am I missing something?

Aww no native DS4 support? Guess I'll have to put up with Xbox button prompts.
