holy shit is this real?
How does your Geralt of Rivia look like? Is he missing eyes and painted with a one inch brush like mine?
So... I just started, barely scratched the surface before I have to go to bed before work, but a couple quick impressions:
1) I suck at combat and it seems like it'll take a while to master - especially fighting multiple enemies at once. I just got my ass handed too me by three innocuous swamp enemies at the beginning of the game about 4 times in a row without doing much damage.

2) The HUD is too much. For such a beautiful game, I feel like there's information overload on the screen and it detracts from the atmosphere. Talk of a 'customisable HUD' I saw in some threads were a bit rich - you can turn off the mini map and that's it. But there's always something on the screen distracting you. I wish you could at the very least control the HUD opacity.
Made sure you have crossbow selected as active item? From same menu from where you select signs.
I made a screenshot of a faggot :3

edit: cropped the screenshot so there are no spoilers
I sure wish the game would stop freezing on PC.
How many of you have received your Collector's Editions? I must say, that the painting quality is one of the worst I have seen on a product this big and expensive. I get that you mostly use airbrush to cover up most of the surface of statues this big, but the details especially on Geralt's face are horrible.

Every other item in the Collector's Edition is of the highest quality, like the awesome artbook and the metal pendant.
No, you can turn off everything. I'm playing with absolutely nothing on my screen.
Go to Options > Display > HUD Configuration
Have people on Twitter mentioned the text size issue yet? That's the biggest one for me
How do I turn off subtitles. I hate subtitles.
This is the statue that a buddy of mine got in his CE (sorry for pic quality)
Funny.
I'll deal with this later after shower and a coffee.
I've noticed that the judder/framepacing issue is most noticeable when panning the camera slowly (PS4).
I can definitely see this getting annoying. I may wait for a few more patches before I start playing depending on how bad it gets when I get past the prologue area.
Oh? Thank you! I was getting worried this was overlooked somehow.I hate them too. It's in the language option from memory.
Sorry :dFunny.

Just a question about save imports, the game gave me several options to import saves, but now I can't remember if I did save Witcher 2 after I made every single important decision (there's probably an auto save for this, right?), what happens if you don't import the latest save?
He was shitting on the game in other threads and decided to buy the game anyways.
what
switched back to english, polish voice over was not really that good..
Velen side quest:Wild at heart
The werewolf kept healing itself, how the fuck do I kill it?
It has hidden unlock mechanism in plain sight.
You can select autosave which saves before credits. Also in case you don't have a save from witcher 2 you can go with developer decisions or do a quick recap dialogue for the decisions.
But doesnt this at least reduce the ingredients for the specific bomb/potion? If your bomb get restored as soon as you meditate is kind of sucks, as I dont wamt to have unlimited supplies of bombs
So far My only complaint are the small font, i decided to stick with disc xbox version, but i might go digital on ps4.
I just don't think these games are for me, I tried 2 but it didn't do anything and now this one I just don't feel anything. It feels too overwhelming with potions, bombs, alchemy, mutagens as they're all a necessity in comparison to other RPGs. Plus the combat isn't clicking.
Yup.Can you still read books to add monsters to the bestiary?
Yes, I had this happen last night. Can you still read books to add monsters to the bestiary?
Funny.

I found that one but figured subtitles would be in that menu. Thanks againLanguage menu. The option to disable the text popups from villagers is in HUD options.
I have a question. I am playing the game on Hard mode. I understand, that the health doesn't replenish, but this counts also towards passives? i triggered a passive that helps my health replenish faster during day time... but my health stays put. Or am i missing something?

Yeah, it's a night and day difference. Hopefully mine is OK, should find out in a few hours. This one looks so much better looking
Did you equip it to one of the slots to the right? That skill does indeed give free health regen during the day, albeit slow. Still, it makes that restriction completely pointless.
