If I'm looking to dominate in Gwent, what kind of deck should I be trying to build?
Difficult to explain. The Witcher lore resonates with me more than other stuff.
Have a fav song that makes you close your eyes as you listen to it? I don't even want to know how many times I listened to this and got lost in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUdnrYDhgg8
It certainly doesn't help that I got fixated on chasing that ultimate high as the release date was coming. The imminent 390X/980TI launches prevented me from getting a 4K setup too soon but I actually planned to spend 3k on 2 cards and a monitor that would have been used for the game. I would have been squinting or looking away until I start the game to preserve the 4K "wow factor" for the game.
I settled for starting the game, tabbing out to listen to the song I linked above while reviving a habit that died nearly 2 decades ago (not sure about the forum policy on this matter hence me being cryptic with the description but it involves consuming a plant that is illegal) all to get max immersion as I started playing.
So yeah, that's how I spent ~35 hours in White Orchard.
See people, just when you think you are weird, someone far more weird shows up
If I remember on the second stage I put up Quen used one of those thunder potions and charged in with heavy attacks. I just attacked until he died, health be damned.
I had problems with that fight because I still only had the first silversword.
What level are you?, I tried it (on B&B) when I was level 4, and couldn't hit hard enough to keep him from regenning in the 2nd phase.
Stock up on bombs, they are probably the best way to deal with the regen unless your Igni's crazy consistent with lighting the werewolf on fire.
The bestiary says to use Moon Dust, my personal experience is that Dancing Star stops the regen for a moment and deals crazy damage over several seconds, and some say Devil's Puff Ball's poison cloud also stops the regen from working
Try cursed oil, igni and moon dust bomb. Moon dust stops the beasts from regenerating health.
Ard does nothing against werewolves. Other than Igni, its better to use Quen or Yrden against the werewolves rather than Ard.
Thanks for the tips guys. I think I'm simply under leveled (level 4) and unprepared. The only bomb I have right now is Samum so I'm going to have to find the diagram and materials for dancing star and whatnot. My silver sword is the Viper Silver Sword so I know that's not the problem.
I'll level up, find some more diagrams, and come back to it later.
Is there a HUD option for enabling the timers on oils?
Apropos timer. Is there one for Quen, I am not always sure if I still have it up. The animation is a bit too subtle for me to pick up in a fast fight.
Can anyone help me on the Big City Players mission?
I've basically complete all the tasks and have the Ciri card yet it won't finish the quest. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?
Not really. There is a small light thread thst moves, it visible, but not very good when I am trying to not get hit and try to see if I have an opening.Don't think so. You should have a shimmering effect playing around you, though, I haven't run into an instance where I didn't notice it.
Ah, thanks. There's no on-screen indicator outside of the equip slot then? There are no timers on oils, but there are charges, which (as far as I know) mean how many hits with the oil you can deliver before it comes off.
Have you played all four? Ciri is the reward for specific player not for the quest itself.
That's indeed weird. Could you screenshot what your journal says about the quest?Yep played all four yet the quest will not finish.

Yeah, smells like bug. Beating him again won't work either? It's defjnitly a bug, but maybe you can try to push the game. If not knock at CDPR's doors to fix this shit. It can't be that the core experience of Gwent get jeopardized. Here yo go:
I've already beat the band member and got thecard from him.Ciri
I'm level 22, the monster hunts up to level 27 were easy. Now I hunt a giant level 29 moose like gorilla (forgot the name) and it's wrecking me. This bastard is no joke. Need more levels I guess. Level 2 Ursine set and bear swords isn't enough.
Anecdotal, but I visited a mate of my tonight, and he asked about this, stating everyone at his work is talking about how amazing it is.

So is Witcher gear a thing outside of the starting equipment? because if it is god damn is it fucking rare.
You have to craft it.
Don't think I have a single diagram for it yet either
So I just triggered cutscenes from the Lord of Undvik quest before even starting it. Am I fucked when I attempt it later on?
So, I beat it last night and now I feel really bummed that I have nothing left to do.
CDPR is a pretty shit developer, why isn't this game 500 hours long?
It's implied that she's allergic to magic potions, If it was just magic in general then would she not be able to cast spells herself?
Also there is a contradiction with her potion allergy in books compared to the games. For example one of the very first quests in The Witcher 1, was creating a potion for Triss to heal her from injuries she got when Kaer Morhen was attacked in the beginning of the game.
Any savestate from before? If you just beat him you maybe have an autosave or two before playing him.Yep I get no option to beat him again, I can only trade with him now. Sadly.
Sucks, it's the last mission in my way to complete the missions.

Did you trigger the cutscenes in right time and place, with no odd dialog speaking of events that haven't happened?anyone?
Surely this immortal alghoul with instant hp regeneration is a glitch? I turned off all HUD to capture this video so it's spoiler free: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odDmAM_2tck

Tell us. Is there a life after Witcher 3?So, I beat it last night and now I feel really bummed that I have nothing left to do.

For the lighthouse contract in Skellige, what happens ifyou don't fight the guys after you come back or if you get the guard to let you go in the prison? do you just never meet the jarl and get the sidequest?
I struggled with him last night, he killed me 3 times before I managed to get him dead, I used fire and that bomb that you can set fire to and then smashed him to bits with my sword (lv11 btw).

This armor that was used in some gameplay demos, what is it called?
