I noticed no one has responded to you so here's my take, though do note I haven't taken that approach.

Apparently, from reading places like IGN's guide etc., each choice of the Baron's questline can lead to currently three known endings. I won't spoil what they are because I was spoiled and wouldn't want that on anyone else, but suffice to say not saving the Botchling probably has dire consequences on the Baron's morale and state of mind. You don't actually need to be "prepared" to save the Botchling, its a dialogue choice followed by an escort quest. Just keep in mind it seems Witcher 3 has some very intertwined choices and consequences.

Has anyone noticed the map is inaccurate? I've found quite a few trails on the map that don't exist in the game. And no they're not small and hard to see. One trail on the map if I follow it goes through some one's garden and another goes straight down a cliff. It's like they forgot to update the map in some areas that they changed the game in.

There is also the case CDPR just put them in there as easter eggs of sorts. Maybe to encourage exploration rather than staring at the map constantly? Or it could just be they didn't update it properly.

Witcher 1 = Shani
Witcher 2 = Ves (
I almost had a heart attack when I saw her in the Witcher 3 but no romance there...not even a little chat with her = (
)

I think I was weak when I chose Triss..

I have this since the beginning of my game. The volume in the game is really low for me as to when I quit to desktop and hit something by mistake it's really loud.

Are the
Brothers in Arms
and
Isle of Mists
quests near the end of the main quest? If so, can you go back to side quests after completing the main quest? Are certain things cut off?

Finished it yesterday after almost two weeks. Got the
Ciri as witcher
ending. Loved every second of the game. I had a few minor problems with the controls but they were manageable, and once I (almost at the end) switched to a controller instead of mouse/keyboard the game controls were almost perfect. Didn't run into any major bugs and was a little surprised by that. For a game of this complexity to ship as polished as it is, is a remarkable achievement. Definitely my game of the year so far. I plan on waiting a month or two and starting it up again.

It wouldn't make much sense, but it would be cool if there were "safe" taverns you could go to to play other people online at Gwent, except they look like any other peasant NPC in your world.

The
Isle of Mists
is around 2/3 of the way, if not less. Though it does have a warning say that doing it can end some quests you haven't finished yet. Not sure which ones though since none "failed" for me. It's probably story related secondary quests that may fail.

No.
You are just nearing the end of Act 1. Crazy, right? That said the remaining two Acts are much shorter. To answer your question yes you can go back to doing side quests however certain side quests, if you haven't done them, will fail if you do Isle of Mists. We're talking mainly the ones dealing with your allies that can come to your aid which you call in for the Brother in Arms quest. So if you haven't met say Letho from TW2 before the Ise of Mists that quest will probably fail.

Did I miss out on a quest to get Vesemir's medallion back from the Crone? Seems kinda important and nothing came of it

Sure. It's already answered now but they're about 2/3 of the way through the game. You can return and do most of the side quests later. Sorry, I can't keep up with the thread. Too busy playing for the past two weeks and now I just woke up and haven't yet read the last page.

There's no dedicated photo mode, but the tools are out there for PC. Everything is explained here. You can toggle the HUD on and off for screenshots using the console.

It's to do with one of the game's endings. I thought it was a strange omission as I didt receive the relevant ending.

Really? I feel like my Geralt solves most of his problems by killing people. "Hey give me this thing so I can save us both" "Over my dead body!" *Sigh* *draws sword*

You'd think people would stop being so eager to go toe to toe with a Witcher.

That ending is depressing.

Seeing Geralt pretty much give up on life and just doing things out of hate and revenge was a bummer. Ciri's death in that ending completely destroyed him, real glad I didn't get that ending.
However, that shot of him breaking down holding Vesemir's/Ciri's medallion while the camera zooms out of the cabin is gorgeous.

I haven't cared about characters in a video game this much since The Last of Us. I actually teared up when Geralt found Ciri.

FUCK THIS GAME IS AMAZING

Because nothing would be funnier than the end game boss, this incredibly threatening and badass looking boss, takes out a tiny table and two chairs and his deck of cards so you can decide the fate of the world over a children's card game

Downloaded 1.03 on Xbox One and was quickly rewarded with the XP bug. Completed the bog/Family Matters stuff and my XP didn't budge. This early into the main quest line I'm really not sure how worth it it is to progress until this is fixed.

Same problem for me. Went for Triss, immediately regretted that decision but decided to stick to it and be a man. I just
broke up with Yennefer
T_T (Haven't finished the game but I really hope Triss makes Geralt a very happy man!)
Oh well, I'll definitely aim hard for Yen during my Death March playthrough specially with that very hot alternative outfit ;D

I upgraded my Feline Armor to the Enhanced set this afternoon. Only problem is that I hate both the Superior and Masterclass sets ;_;

I would use the Bear Armor, but it doesn't fit my crit build as well.

You don't have to worry about Geralt. Triss and him end up very VERY happy

Wow my ending was Ciri and I at White Orchard fucking around til she told me she had to go back to Nilfgaard to be Empress. It was sad because I told her we probably won't meet again because I thought it would make it more emotional. Didn't even know Ciri could die.
Got to say I love the facial animations Geralt makes during the sad moments, hes such a hard man so when you see his sad face it shows you how hard it effects him

Why is everybody in sidequests such assholes? I'm really waiting for a quest where a little girl asks you to save a cat from a tree but instead of a cat its a Dire Bear and she's actually a traveling child assassin .
