Oh lol,
it opens in the first main quest in Novigrad. I've been scared of doing main quests because of the whole exp thing. Been getting experience from side-quests and contracts but not so sure about main quests.

Those points of interest are just that. Points on interest meant to be happened across while doing actual quests. I have found plenty of good stuff in them. Relic crafting material on top of some equipment upgrades every now and again. There is a difference between these being almost the only thing to do in the game, like a Ubisoft game or Inquisition, and being able to ignore them completely and still have a metric fuck ton of side content.
Having a controller issue on PC, shot in the dark if anyone might know the solution.

Left trigger doesn't function with a wired XB1 controller. It works fine in other games.

Sure did, I figured out how to do it with DS4Windows. They are working great, its kinda of baffling that this isn't the default method.
Are there more trees like this?

The camera during battle is so annoying. Doesn't stay focused behind Geralt, and lock on feels cumbersome. Any help?

well the camera is meant to give you an awareness of your surrounding and switching directions isn't that hard.

Nice one. There was one guy in that thread that was trying to get it to work in DS4Windows, but was having issues. So feel free to share your set up there if you feel like it. But good to see you got it working. And yeah, it's quite surprising why this isn't an option in the game by default, considering you can still use all the normal functions like the radial wheel etc.

Try this method for combat - don't lock on to enemies, rather attack and use the left stick to strike the enemy you want to hit. Think of it almost like batman combat when you are fighting groups of enemies. Dodge a ton, as if Geralt is 'dancing' like Syrio Forel.
This is my favorite song in the game so far, but why can't I find it in the official soundtrack?

Somehow I managed to beat the Vizima castle Gwent guy with my awful starter deck first try.

I beat him too, but it took a few retries. You gotta wait until he gets a bad deck, while you get a decent one.

Best armor (and swords arguably) depends on your preference of light, medium, heavy.
Best looking it's largely agreed to be the Bear school armor. As to how you get it you might want to google it as you need to grab schematics from all around the maps

The Bloody Baron quest was fantastic. After stumbling a bit initially I've adapted to the combat and I'm really enjoying it now. This is definitely the best game of this gen thus far.

I don't know if it's just me but the rarest weather condition in the game is a completely cloudless blue sky, only saw it once. Suddenly, the sky looked just weird and then it hit me :O

Im thinking some not all people are running into quests that dont give exp and assume they hit the exp bug. No way to know though, hope it gets fixed quick for people effected. I need a few days to digest everything before Death March so ill probably wait for 1.04

Best looking is probably Bear, but that doesn't mean it's the best for you necessarily. For my melee heavy, critical generating build, I needed Cat/Feline armor.

fuck the police. I can't wait until god damn 4-5 months from now before replaying the game again. The itch is real. Time to do another playthrough with different choices.

It's very annoying. I'm no longer gaining XP from any quests (or at least those I tried), basically rendering the game uncompletable, unless grinding monster kills for an absurd amount of time.
This on top of the many inventory crashes I had in the beginning
