Welp. Near one of the Guarded Treasures in a swamp by Novigrad, there's a puddle you can fall in to and there's no way to get out. Not being able to jump while you're walking in shallow water is so stupid.
lol same thing happened to me.

So I'm about to take off Melt Armor for my Igni, I swear I don't see the effects of it most of the time. I rather just have the bleed effects from fast combat.
I wonder if it scales with intensity. I just finished a playthrough where I was mostly melee but I took Melt Armor and Delusion. I figured the Melt Armor would be huge with all of my physical damage. I didn't notice a damn thing with it. I dropped it.
I'm trying to confirm that the kids did indeed survive. LovelySalsa just said something about the kids joining a class, so I'll try to find the school from the lady in the "Find Dandelion" subquest again. Unfortunately I finished that before even starting "Family Matters", so I have no idea where it is lol
One would think the Melt Armor makes a massive difference in fights against Earth Elementals and Golems in particularI wonder if most enemies even have armor or some type of resistance. I swear I'll hit someone for 150, use igni with melt armor, and my next hit would still be 150. Just dropped it now. I'm doing fast combat with heavy signs. Picked up Aard AoE move instead and might get igni alt stream.
The one thing that is kinda disappointing in the story are the villains.
My God what is it with RPGs and bad villains, the last good ones were Saren/Sovereign.

What is wrong with them?
Here is my convoluted plan to gain access to the council room and its terminal I had access all along as a specter BWAHAHAHA
Like... 80+X%?Can someone please tell me how much is left after finishing all of Baron's quests? As in percentage? For main quests.
Guys I really want to buy this game because everyone keeps telling me how this is my type of a game and adventure but the problem is I hate jumping into a game without experiencing the previous games by myself, and there's just no way i'm playing the first two specially the firsr one ( keyboard and mouse just no ).
I hate to miss the related stories and characters... It's just a thing I hate too much to do.
So from scale of 1 to 10.... How mucu I'm going to miss story and characters wise If I just jumped into Wild Hunt? Even the tiniest details is bothering me.

I just I like to experience it by myself... I'm not going to watch videos or read.

Two questions:
1. Is there any reason to hold on to the starting swords? Or any Relic swords you find?
2. For the EXP glitch problem, when you have the problem, does the exp not show up at all on the screen, or does it show you that you got it, but just not actually attribute it to you?

How they welcomes the newcomers like me when this is the final chapter of a trilogy?Well you can't really expect to get the full experience from the third installment in a game series based on a book series without playing the first two games and/or reading the books. But despite that, CDProjekt did a really good job welcoming newcomers to the series.
They're just barely there and even when they are they aren't that threatening, plus the game doesn't really establish them as strong characterseven though there are 3 named ones
I'm not talking about plans, I'm talking about presence, also let's not kid ourselves that the Wild Hunt is any more competent than those two.
They were fine. It continues the Witcher tradition of villains with understandable reasons but extreme methods.
Just made it to Oxenfurt, it looks like a wonderful place.
Except for less than 10 characters, it will not matter if you played the first 2 game. That's it.How they welcomes the newcomers like me when this is the final chapter of a trilogy?

Will I notice from their conversations that there is a history between them and sense that I've missed something?Except for less than 10 characters, it will not matter if you played the first 2 game. That's it.
So I had an interesting time getting in there.
I was doing the bloody Baron quest line and went there to find the daughter before going back to speak to the baron. So I didn't have a pass to get in. So I just jumped off the bridge and swam in. Then went to see the baron, who slipped straight to the "seen my daughter" dialogue, now I will never get a pass. Grr.
Also, the bloody baron quest...holy crap, that was amazing/horrific!

Just hit 6.out of curiosity what level are you? I'm only at 5[/spoiler]
And how good it works to fill out the blanks ?There is an in-game glossary for characters to catch you up if you don't mind reading that.

Anyone who's done the Strange Beast quest...how do I get out of the cave? I'm stuck and can't jump out, Geralt won't grab the rocks he just jumps into them with his foot out. It's driving me insane.
Ok, my game is bugged and Geralt can no longer climb. Brilliant. Is there a fix?
Reload your save? I've had that happen. Reload just until that point and make sure you're actually grabbing something you can grab. You can't grab during a battle or with enemies close.
Is there another route?
Will try and find some saves where it works, unfortunately not. Checked a walkthrough of the quest and I should be able to climb back out, the last contract I need for the trophy too
I sort of agree. It's really my only major gripe with the story, most of the buildup for Eredin is found in the books and a bit in TW1.
That, and *Final Battle Spoilers!!*his death is just a scapegoat for a faux-plot twist, totally underwhelming for Geralt to come out of a fight with the main antagonist of the series unwounded, then cut him down after some simple swordplay. The finishing cutscene should've been way more spectacular.
Especially after Imlerith's death was so incredible. That entire quest was one of the highlights of the whole story.

You should take a screenshot if you can. Maybe restart the game and console.
