This is the ledge I'm trying to climb, he just jumps into it with his leg out. Even going back to my earliest autosave doesn't fix it, must have been playing with the bug for a while. Frustrating.

IMO you have not done the yellow area behind you? What is that behind you? Are you facing the yellow circle on the map?

Weird. You're in a cave. I realize that, but is there another exit?

Why's in the yellow is outside (mission objective) id continue to load, explore, mess with the controls, or that exit is bugged.

I feel like the main quests rewards you with too much XP; I seem to outlevel the sidequests really fast when I stop to focus on the critical path for a short while. At level 10 i still havent cleared the majority of my sidequests in the velen area that have a recommended level of 6-10. I always feel a little anxious about being overleveled for either the main path or the sidequests.

Any way to turn off the notification on PC when it says "Gamepad detected" or "mouse detected".

It's spoiling all my screenshots :(

From reddit:

1. Open \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\hidden.ini
2. Change "LockControlScheme=" to "LockControlScheme=2".
3. Save, right-click, make file read only, apply, done.
4. Also add that line to your Documents/Username/Witcher 3/user.settings file under the the "[Hidden]" header.
5. Save, right-click, make file read only, apply, done.

Note that making "user.settings" read-only makes it so you need to uncheck it every time you want to change and save an options setting in The Witcher 3.

Why's in the yellow is outside I guess

Ahh sorry for the confusion. I had defeated the boss of that area, then tried to climb out but couldn't, this screenshot was me reloading to a save before I'd defeated the boss. I still couldn't climb out though :/

Explored around the cave and can't see another exit so far. Watched a video of someone completing the quest and it seems I am supposed to be able to climb that ledge. Looks like I may be waiting around for a fix.

Monster decks are such garbage. I can't imagine why anyone would use anything other than northern kingdoms or the empire.

That's what I did. His last 4 cards alone had twice the points of my hand. Got absolutely murdered o_O
Let me guess, one of those last 4 cards was a crone? Every time. I dont even run Torrential rain in my Northern Kingdoms deck because of all the siege weapons I use.

I saw someone report this bug on the official forums. CDPR are investigating it...

In the meanwhile, I know it sounds odd, but try blowing yourself up with a variety of bombs. Apparently this can help. No joke.

2 hero cards and 2 monster cards that doubled themselves :/

The best way to win against monster decks early on is to pick a leader card that can apply any weather effect in your deck (I think both Nilfgard and Northern kingdoms have this) and then just bait the AI and slam him with your hero ability. Frost destroys those decks.

Yeah I'll need a better deck for that. I haven't even unlocked a second leader. Probably played 8-10 games so far. How many wins do you reckon I need before having a good deck for Novigrad?

I was re watching the intro cutscene that you can watch before you load the game up and realised that the man says, that the wild hunt ride with every full moon.

How awesome would it have been if CDPR had incorporated a mechanic where every in game month, the wild hunt would come and find you and you had to flee or fight.

Well once you beat the Velen gwent sidequest and a few merchants you're ready for the guys in Novigrad. Honestly they aren't much tougher than the deck you faced and most decks aren't as dangerous as the monster deck. The only more powerful one is the spy deck.

Well, they're kinda busy trying to find Ciri.

Someone has probably said this already but I remember lots of people fretting about missing the crystal bird skull at the very beginning of the game and I finally found out what it was for last night. Fret not, there's not even a whole side quest associated with it, you just give it back to Yennifer and there's a few lines of casual dialogue concerning it.

So apparently the climbing bug is linked 'The Creature of Oxenfurt Forest' so people may want to avoid that quest for now, just going to have to wait it out for a patch.

I should take up that sidequest. I've just randomly played some armorers and blacksmiths at the villages. Gotta git gud

ENDING SPOILERS
yo lmao haven't actually come close to finishing the game yet, but just wondering if finding Phillipa for Radovid would affect my possible ending in the story. I'm stressing so hard about this.,

What Climbing bug?

Seem's to be a bug that causes you to be unable to climb ledges and it's making it difficult to progress, Geralt just kicks away from the wall instead. No one seems to know exactly what's causing it but digging around it may be linked to that quest, CD Projekt are currently working on a fix.

god damn that game is so addictive.
wanted to call it a day but before lets go to the quest board, oh they won't let me in, maybe that guy there knows a way in, indeed, a little latter I'm in, cutscene starts, suddenly I'm playing
Ciri
, now I investigate another disappearance, it's just all so seamless.
Just like that I played for another hour and all I wanted to do was to get the quest from the quest board before quitting the game.

I wonder if this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_NTPExXKIU was also caused by that bug or is the wall simply too high for Geralt and that location ill-designed?

so..let me get this straight..at the moment if you do a quest that is 6 level under your current levelyou dn't receive any exp from it?

doesn this mena i have to wait till the patch to continue the main story, since the mission is for lv 11 and i'm level 17?

You will never get XP for a grayed out quest. They're too low level for you to be getting XP from.

No, that's how it is supposed to be. The bug makes quests that are 2-3 levels lower than your current level give 0 xp (green quests).
