I don't like the long loading times.

I just discovered i can look at my play time stats under chars today. So i want to go check it out. Is it broken for everyone? I was looking forward to see how much time i have spent on this game.

It's broken for some, but not others. I hit 32 hours but then it reset back to 0, so I've played way more than the stat actually says.

I got a question regarding "Eye for an Eye".
1.04 patch notes for consoles are stating:
- Fixed issue where
Roche
was not present at Hanged Man's tree during Eye for an Eye quest.

He isn't there in my playthrough and the nearby village
got occupied by Nilfgaardians, which I assume are the ones that attacked the village. No villager left there.

Will that quest fail for me?

Not sure if you will fail. You can wait for the patch to hit, or start the quest "A Deadly Plot" and you will run into that NPC there. Once you have talked with him, you can go back to Hang mans tree and he will be there as intended. Once you wrap up "an eye for an eye" you can proceed with A Deadly Plot. Broken games.... oh well, at least they are acknowledging and fixing it.

that sucks. when i save, i always get a prompt, the first time i save, on how previous save files will be incompatible with previous versions of the game. Really weird.

Do I need to hang on to the large amount of books or can I sell them after you open it up? I did this already, so I hope there isnt any issue.

Well, I've completed "A Deadly Plot". Think I'll have to search for him now :D

Have you guys seen this?

There were this alchemy guys in Witcher 2 who
gave you this potion.

Probably been asked before but how do I get the Temerian armor? I have the DLC installed but there's no hint of where to get it. Also is there a limit on that material that refills my supplies when I meditate? I'm not really sure how that works.

Holy shit, I totally forgot about this experimental drink in Witcher 2. So that's what the potion did to Geralt.

In white orchid you'll get it from the merchant you saved from the griffon.

Just finished up The Bloody Baron's questline and have done bunch of side stuff with Keira in the south, and in the Swamps in Velen - about how far into the game is this?

one issue I'm running into is that I'm leveling too fast for all the quests. I want to do every side quest, contract, and treasure hunt I pick up, but at this point there's so much stuff I'm 4 or 5 levels higher than my lowest level available quest. My strategy has been to focus on the lowest level quests I have in my log, but I feel that this is putting me on a trajectory where I'll continue to be increasingly over-leveled. The fights are getting too easy, playing on Blood and Broken Bones.

I think Im blind and missing a staircase or ladder somewhere:

Skellige spoilers for
Brothers in arms: skellige quest

Where is Cerys? How do I get to her? According to the map she is just outside the hall with the bears and slaughter from the previous quest, but above. However I cant find any stairs or ladders to get to her

Thanks!

my reaction when I unlocked the map markers for all the points of interest in skellige after finishing all of them in velen
giphy.gif

Everybody does this and then has a "oh fuck" moment. I don't know if it has as much content as Velen + Novigrad, but it has an absurd amount of content as is and really didn't need to be in the game for it to already feel dense and content rich.

I also think most people will make the mistake of going through the Novigrad + Velen stories and leaving Skellige until later, aiming to clean up as much of the former before the latter, when Skellige actually has a lot of level 15 - 20 quests more than appropriate to get in early.

In terms of quest difficulty before they turn grey and stop netting XP, across Velen/Novigrad and Skellige I think the game has more middling level XP quests than you'll be able to capitalise on.

I thought so lol, oh well game is amazing It just mean more time with it then .

I think I'm gonna leave skellige for post game stuff honestly. Because jesus man Skellige has so much stuff, and the POI's are SO SPREAD OUT, and not only are they spread out there are so many in little scattered isles and in the middle of the ocean.

I'm at 70 hours in and I think I'm at the 66-75% marker for the game. Kinda just wanna see this through to the end and do the contracts and random non relevant quests later.

Yeah I might do the same after a few quests and contracts I'm not gonna spend another 50h in this region story is getting interesting too I want to find out what happen .

So got two questions about where to find people: after te Pyres of Novigrad quest Triss mentions some place where to find her. Except I forgot where it was and now I can't find her. Been strolling through Novigrad capital for the past hour but nothing lol. Any help? Or is she unavailable for now?

Number two: heard about people finding (witcher 2 spoilers)
Letho
in a quest somewhere, where can I find this one?

Also, am I already past act 1? Just finished the broken flowers quest. This game is really huge, yet all the quests are really good quality. Unlike other open world RPG's (dragon age & skyrim)

For how many time zeugls are brought up, is there even one in the game?

wtf is a zeugl?

Sewer inhabiting octopus. At least going by their depiction in W1.

Spoilers for after Kaer Morhen
I didn't count all the dwarfs but they were ripping off Sleeping Beaty right ? lol As much as I'm not particularly enthralled by the main plot so far, Geralt&Ciri union was a really touching scene.

On the other hand, the gather your allies quest is too cheesy and makes little sense from travel time standpoint. loled at asking Dijkistra for help.

wtf is a zeugl?

A giant octopus monster with tentacles that thrives in the sewers. Geralt fought one in the sewers of Blaviken (or was it Novigrad?) in the Short Story and near the end of the first Witcher as well.

You don't encounter one in Wild Hunt AFAIK.

Holy crap, I remember that sidequest from Witcher 2.

Some alchemist dude literally just calls you over and asks you to drink from his magical healing potion in Flotsam, for science. I forget the results of it but that's an great callback.

Is the Bloody Baron quest bugged for me or is it an example of - pure assumption here - combining separate quests together at some point to get to their completion?

Spoilers:

I spoke to his daughter in Oxenfurt and now have to follow leads on his wife's disappearance. Only, there is absolutely no reference to her on the map or where I should go other than notes about her possibly being in the Bog where I have to do the mission with the witches and Johnny, etc.

I'm going through the latter one atm hoping it will cross paths with the former quest. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything out.

The same happened to me so I supose is intended, you must do the storyline quest in Crookback bog and you'll be able to continue that quest.

Not bugged, keep doing those quests.

Stupid question, but re the Yrden skill tree:

Sustained Glyphs
Tier: 1
Effect: Increases Sign duration by 5 seconds. Number of alternate mode charges: 2.
Number of standard mode traps: 1. Stamina regeneration in combat +0.5/s

Does "number of alternate mode charges: 2" mean that I can have two sustained Yrden traps active at one time? Or is there a different meaning?

Pretty mad about patch suddenly being Wednesday. I spend the weekend doing all question marks in skellige and now only have real missions left. Figuring I could play it when I get home on Monday, then they pull a last second change. Thanks CDPR.

Wait, people are actually going to bother with all the "?s" in Skellige, even the ones in the ocean? Good luck :p 90 % of them are just Smuggler's Caches. I did all the ?s in Velen/Novigrad but there's no way in hell I'm doing all of them in Skellige. Sailing is way to slow.

What

The

Fuck

I live in Denmark and I have never ever been a victim of sold out games. Before this day that is. Visited two stores. No fucking ps4 copies.

Nothing.

I wished I had a xbox one for a second there, there were loads of copies for that.

Yeah, I'm just going to do the ones on land. The caches don't give you any xp and they are usually filled with crap weapons and armour anyway.

What am I doing wrong at the Jenny of the Woods quest? It's a lvl 9 quest, I'm at lvl 11 and I still get completely trashed by the
ghost
.
