Man, some things are VERY bad done in Witcher 3, mostly because open world.
I was wandering around as usually cleaning "?" marks, while I triggered a cutscene withI followed his steps, and I entered a cave, while Geralt statedan ice giant. The fact is, I never metHjalmar was not here., I have not a mission related to him so Geralt basically can't know him, since in Skellige I did literally zero story mission, I just reached the location and cleared some "?" marks.Hjalmar
Also CDPR really dropped the ball here, pretty much 98% of "?" mark in Skellige are underwater chests with sirens waiting to kill you. If you add swimming is really bad in W3, this killed pretty much the whole fun I was having by fully exploring the map. The loot is garbage, so there are really no reasons to clear those marks.
Also...mountains, mountains everywhere. Yeah, it's very good looking and pretty much different from Velen/Novigrad, but man, navigating those is very boring. Even when you swim, you need to look for the exact place in which you can land on an island, otherwise you need to circle it until you spot a landing spot. And sometimes places that seems a good landing spots are not, since you can't "jump" on them with Geralt wandering like a dumb 1 meter from the ground.
Those '?' marks are a blight. Turn them off and be happier for it. Game feels a lot more immersive without obsessively trying to uncover everything that's on your map, trust me. I've been playing it like that since day 1.
I honestly don't understand why they're even in to begin with. I've seen plenty of people complain about them.
On an unrelated note, a story mission glitched out and removed my Superior Dimeritium bombs from my inventory. Gotta recraft them all over again. :'(
