Doing my second playthrough and decided to start off in the Sign tree this time, think I found the first tree more useful to start off.

It's definately easier the higher lvl you are. I mean at lvl 6 it was very, very hard to beat anyone at lvl 12. But at lvl 26 a lvl 32 is doable, doubly so once you hit 30 vs a lvl 35.
If only there was a New Game+!

what happened to the free dlc? i thought they were gonna be a weekly thing.

also whats the best way to handle the harderst difficulty? i want to start it but im not sure how to go about it.

Is rend messed up? Shouldn't it at least be doing as much as a strong attack? Mine hit for 1k or so but tend crits are barely over that much and routinely less.

Piercing armor is pretty great though

Pretty disappointed in the armors in the game to be honest. I rolled with the Mastercrafted Cat armor but why the fuck wouldn't they include cool ones like these :

So I haven't even gotten around to looking into any of the higher level armours in the game. Which Witcher set should I roll? I tend to prefer light and medium armours, but the Bear does look pretty badass.

The armour designs in this game are really bad imo. The starting armour is great, and a few others look decent, but that entire concept lost looks amazing.

Please CDPR!

I've encountered a bug where Geralt can't climb ledges at all anymore. Anyone have any idea how to fix it? Help'd be really appreciated as I can't continue with the game without climbing stuff. Playing on PS4.

The thing i don't like about ursine armor is that geralt's beard clips through the leather around the neck.

Anyway, i tried doing the quest tower outta nowheres and it's buged.

First objective is:

Enter the tower. There's a portal. I walk through it. Inside there is a stone golem and some dead guys. There's a prompt to examine the bodies but geralt won't say a thing. And the golem just stand stil. Can't use the portal to go back outside. And the objective still says "enter the tower".

So be careful with quicksaves or you may get stuck.

Whats a good level to go there?

I would recommend the one suggested, or you'll be too over-leveled. Honestly, I feel like the game was not meant to be completed in one single game. If you start doing all of the sidequests, and witcher contracts, you'll easily be way over-leveled and everything will be too easy, even at it's hardest difficulty. Going by the main quest with the suggested levels is actually every good.

And it's not like you can't start a second game later on and do the ones you had not completed in your first run. It's actually refreshing to see stuff you havn't seen your first time around.

This is driving me fucking crazy - there is about a 2 or 3 second lag between character's lips moving, and the words actually sounding in cutscenes.

Has anyone experienced this and can it be fixed? PC obviously.

Any chance the Red Kit that I keep hearing about will allow people to create armour mods? It's almost like the armour was made to look like shit intentionally, I don't get it.

Put points on your signs, soon you will be way too powerful.
Meanwhile, avoid and dodge like a crazy, use the stunning sign and shield to protect you.

Fersho thanks

We've received free DLC the past three weeks. Game's been out three weeks.

What was the third one??

The first week was the hairstyles and the temerian armor set
the 2nd week was Yen's outfit and the dwarven mine quest (which I still can't find lol)

Is that not what the bear armour looks like? Was hoping to get it soon.

The Mastercrafted upgrade looks similar to the last one in the pic but instead of the fur around the collar you get a scarf

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

Nilfgaardian medium armour and three new crossbows.

Also coming:
- Ciri alt outfit
- Triss alt outfit
- Gwent card pack
- Fool's Gold, probably a mission
- I suspect Redanian Heavy Armour

they probably made it high enough level where even at a level most people finish the game it'd be hard/impossible. I mean the whole point is to stop the exploit
That's what I figured...but on the other hand, even if it was killable, the exploit would be fairly useless since you'd have to kill one every time you tried the exploit. Oh well, I just wanted a new beastie to kill :3

It's a known bug. Skimmed through the v1.05 patch notes but it doesn't look like it's been fixed yet (PS4 is on v1.04 anyway though).

One person in the CDPR thread managed to get the bug to fix itself after some maneuvering.

Another in the same thread posted a workaround for the PC version:

As there is no fix for this bug i have a solution that can help you climb the ledges. First you need to download 'Debug Console Enabler' from
http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/28/?
After this open your game and press '~' or 'F2' to open the console and enter "replaceplayer('Ciri')" without the quotes. This will change Geralt to Ciri. Now climb the ledges with Ciri and then change the character back to Geralt using the same command "replaceplayer('Geralt').
Have Fun.

good to see cheaters getting their arses kicked. i would've been more cruel though. spawn bosses that steal your levels and one piece of armor would have been more fun!
delete a random crafting recipe too.

For the longest time I struggled to get Nekker Hearts to make White Raffard's Decoction, until I found a bunch of Nekker nests.

I just found a nest that is constantly respawning it's loot, all the alchemy/crafting gear you get from Nekkers and a Greater Dazhbog Rune (5% chance of burning).

It's here:

Could someone check to see if it refills for them too? You have to loot everything before it refills.

EDIT: Just saw someone mention it on the last page, nevermind.

New Game Plus is also a potential add since its shown up in the files as "DLC_09" along with references to NG+ versions of equipment.

What should i upgrade if i want to be able to consume as many potions as possible without getting toxic? the "Hightened Tolerance" upgrade or the "Acquired Tolerance"? which is better?
Thanks!

I missed the formulae to make it, went through the entire game with swallow and food lol.

Just got to Skellige. Performance is WAY better now with pretty much >90% usage across all 4 Titan X GPUs! :)

CDP response seemed fine given its a bit entertaining. Not sure what the point of truly punishing those players would be given there's no multiplayer aspect to this game and whatever cheaters choose to do really has no impact on anyone else.

I don't see why cheaters need to be punished. If this was an MMO or had an online component sure, they'd need to be punished. But as it is, their actions have no effect on anyone else. What CDPR did was the right way to do, a fun little "gotcha, cheater!" moment. Not something unnecessarily punitive.

Protip: Skellige has always had better performance than Velen.

No, I meant in the whole game - in Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige - getting > 60FPS @ 5K w/ everything maxed out including HairWorks/HBAO+ (no AA and no Blur).
