good to see cheaters getting their arses kicked. i would've been more cruel though. spawn bosses that steal your levels and one piece of armor would have been more fun!
delete a random crafting recipe too.

Eh, it's a single player game so who gives.

Real cheaters can just open up a memory editor or debug console and generate a million crows in few seconds anyway.

So uh hey PS4 Witcher types,

Did this last patch break like talking to ANY quest giver for you? Multiple times today I've had quests that I can't talk to the NPC and I had to run off the map t hen come back a couple seconds later. I even had a quest disappear because I couldn't talk to the guy to accept it.

I can't deliver the letter in the Hard Times quest everytime I go to this NPC I can't interact with him I don't have a prompt to speak to him, anyone run into this issue and managed to get past this ?

Is part of the quest The Price of Honor bugged?
I got to the key from dead brothers body along with the letter. Near coast is sunken ship with chest on it and even prompts me to unlock it, but nothing happens :(

Just finished up Towerful of Mice quest.
Poor Graham.
Seems like
Annabelle gets away. Can you hunt her down later or does she just escape and that's it?

Is that not what the bear armour looks like? Was hoping to get it soon.

That post of mine quoted a screenshot that shows you exactly what mastercrafted bear looks like. It's.... vaguely similar.

Bear armor is on the right:

Finally

been to a point where i should have been able to get all Gwent cards - (my hope was that i missed to buy one from the WO innkeeper, turns out i already had that one and i wouldn't have needed 1.04 to find out)

Really bugged me, so i went down this list
http://www.gosunoob.com/witcher-3/witcher-3-gwent-cards-list/

turns out i missed an inkeeper in Harviken :)

so relieved. Done with Full Crew and Card Collector, now my Death march run won't require any dumb collecting.

feels so good to have these off my chest :D

edit: haha, fuck off, game! thanks for showing me THIS info box 10 secons later

Um... it seems I've hit a really annoying bug (or maybe not, can't say) on 'The Nithing' quest...

I go to the town and I have to talk to
Jonna and tell her about her shawl
but there's no dialogue option at all about it so I can't do anything. Is this because I spoke to them before?

It says I have
to ask the villagers but no one's saying anything.

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out. I blame the british heat.

You could alternatively
have taken Graham to the island, at which point he kisses her (she briefly resumes human form for that), and they both die, lifting the curse and dispelling the wraith at the same time.

Bear armor is on the right:

Was really hoping the master Bear armour was just that in the 4 design/upgrade image.

Is that image an artist's impression or prerender of the original design for the Bear armour? Wonder why it was changed. Looked a lot better.

For the qwent card achievement do I gotta collect every single card or just the ones from the quest?

Also what's the best weapon?? The witcher weapons from the treasure hunt or is there something else?

one of every single card. (of sets with multiple cards - like 'poor fucking infantry' - you only need one)

but those from quests / tournaments are the only ones you might miss. the rest is won from battling blacksmiths / inkeepers, or sold by the latter.

that's why you need a little something that takes effect hours into the game. something that will slowly creep up on you. yummy!

Jesus 2 sarcastic posts all was wondering am I free to travel the whole map from the start oor are areas locked (areas that could be main quest related) or anything like that.

There's no sarcasm. As I said, there's an intro area which is already reasonably large. After that you get taken to the main open world, which you're free to travel. You'll need to level up to survive some of the tougher regions, though.

There's another area you can travel to which is also pretty big. In theory, you can go anywhere as soon as you leave the intro area.

Sorry if been asked already but is this game full open world?

It's not like say GTA V or Skyrim where you just have one big map where you can travel around it without loading.

Think of it like GTA V AND Skyrim maps in the one game and you need to fast travel to get to the other. If the thought of having to fast travel between them puts you off then you should know that these maps are massive. The starting area is quite big then when you get to the next one it makes it feel really small in comparison.

Ok thanks sounds great I couldnt find clear answer when looked before and seeing a eurogamer coment just on fallout 4 saying fallout is full open word unlike even the witcher 3. Just wanted confirmation before I buy it tommorow seeing as the patches have fixed any issues I had buying it right away.

does anyone know exactly what makes the quest Forefathers eve missable?

...I think I might have missed it.

Edit: actually think the list im looking at is wrong, and its not missable. Where the hell is it then?

Good timing on the patch, itching to start another play through after a one day hiatus.

It will be interesting to see if I the game can hold my interest for the whole run again.

So it isn't truely one big map then and fast travel like skyrim I take it, so if I get to the end of one large area there is a fast travel option to take me to the next large area?

The Pellar should give it out. You know, the GOAT.

The one with the bell right? I did that a very long time ago. All videos of forefathers eve I have seen show him standing right outside Keiras house, but that never happened...or I walked right by him and he disappeared lol

Yes, that guy. He should be north/northwest of Blackbough, there's an alchemist icon on the map. You can only start it after a certain point in the Bloody Baron questline, though.

There are 3 maps: White Orchard (intro), Velen (huge) and Skellige Isles (also huge). I haven't been to Skellige Isles yet, but my impression is that you need to fast travel to get from Velen to Skellige Isles and back.

Honestly, if they had left Skellige Isles out it would have still felt like a complete game by any other standards.

More often then should be, attacks on enemies don't do damage, but my blade clips straight through their bodies.

I love this game a lot, but the combat is pissing me off and I may just decrease the difficulty. I like the fact that it subverts the Assassin's Creed style of combat involving multiple opponents, but it suffers from issues like this that make me think it isn't successful. Maybe it is just RPG "You missed!" or something? I don't get it... I'm just a bit raged right now after three attempts at killing four or five drowners in the caves on "Hunting a Witch."

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

It's not truly one map, no, it's two main maps. Once you have access to both you can fast travel between them. The reason there's two maps is because regionally in the Witcherverse they're so far apart you couldn't travel there manually. Each of the two maps however is absolutely massive however, and each is fully open world.

oh that might be why then. I was reading that it could be grabbed after doing A towerful of Mice. My next step in family matters is to
tell the Baron to show you where he buried the child

Doubtful it is this, there isn't an accuracy stat in game of any kind and the game makes no mention of it at all.

No, I meant in the whole game - in Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige - getting > 60FPS @ 5K w/ everything maxed out including HairWorks/HBAO+ (no AA and no Blur).

Happy for you, man. A game finally putting those four Titan X's to work. :D
