Finished the Twisted Firestarter quest and

decided to turn the guy in. Execution sucks, but dude shouldn't have been setting fires.

Still, I'm quite curious as to what happens otherwise. Has anyone taken the bribe and seen what the eventual consequences are?

It's not truly one map, no, it's two main maps. Once you have access to both you can fast travel between them. The reason there's two maps is because regionally in the Witcherverse they're so far apart you couldn't travel there manually. Each of the two maps however is absolutely massive however, and each is fully open world.

Thank you that clears it up, it did confuse me with what I seen commented elsewhere. Definitly not something I'm bothered about and cant wait to play it tommorow.

What's up with a level 20 Leshen spawning/calling a pack of level 22 wolves? Was only level 15. Ran away like a bitch.

This literally just happened to me, same level as well! I did pretty well, Roach was distracting 4 or 5 of them and I almost managed to kill the rest of them by standing near the tree and taking them on with igni as they came at me. They got me eventually though...

Without meditating; so the cows are dead and the Chorts keep coming, they keep going for all the ducks and geese in the town.

Does anyone experience glitchy sound on the PS4 title screen (where you pick continue/new game/etc.)? I have the new patch v 1.04 but it was also happening on 1.03

There's like static and weird skips in the music. Doesn't happen when I'm in game.

I'm level 29 and I'm incredibly low on Red mutagens for some reason. They just hardly ever drop for me, whereas I'm drowning in blues and greens.

Well it could be a bug, that wouldn't surprise me, but check each Mutagen in the inventory because you may have monster-specific Mutagens like water hag Mutagen etc., they will look the same as regular mutagens.

It's a new bug. You can only make a new mutagen if you drop all the ones of the type you want to make. For instance, if you want to make a Red mutagen, make sure you drop any of those you might have before crafting one.

I would strongly advice disabling most of the HUD (immersion breaking fluff) and even removing music at times when just wondering in the wilderness.

That is just the second act. It is a shame you should ask this, because it kind of breaks the suspense.

Did this last patch break like talking to ANY quest giver for you? Multiple times today I've had quests that I can't talk to the NPC and I had to run off the map t hen come back a couple seconds later. I even had a quest disappear because I couldn't talk to the guy to accept it.

A lot of NPCs have been taking a while to load the prompt to talk to them, but it shows up after 5-10 seconds.

Reload an earlier save? People should have several save states in RPG's, something that was rammed into our consciousness back in the late 90s.

Yeah, also slightly annoyed by that. I don't like having subtitles enabled but I like being able to understand what foreign NPCs are saying.

Patch didn't fix the bug with a quest on Skellige I was having, here's hoping for next patch.

Lmao arghhh but I liked yennefer more when I first met her in the game. It'd just crap how I've organised this. Should of gone to Skellige sooner to spend some time with Yennefer and sus her out before making a decision.

Yennefer is his one true love and Cirilla is the adopted daughter who traveled through space and time in order to bring them back from the dead All this is kind of lost in the trilogy, because it is only referenced and you can read about it via lore entries. But all these relationships exist and they have substance. Yennefer is not your run of the mill loving wife though, she is a powerful sorceress who is involved in politics.

Triss is not as dynamic as a character. In the games she is somewhat sympathetic but also a bit selfish. Triss was there at Kaer Morhen when Ciri grew up. A sister figure of sorts, she knows about Avalon and how grandiose the story is but kind of disregarded that when Geralt lost his memory. I don't blame her for loving him and seizing the opportunity when it presented itself but she is the definition of a third wheel. Without the tragic events that occurred in the Hanged Man's Tree, when Geralt surrendered willingly in order to save Yen, Triss would not even be in the picture.

Yennefer also makes a few references when the game begins and those can confuse or frustrate newcomers. But these snide comments are not coming from " just some jealous person".

Imagine living decades in a marriage and then suddenly losing your memory as a result of trying to save your wife from some horrible situation. And then another person, who happens to be a close family friend and essentially a sister figure to your daughter, takes advantage of the situation.

It is hard to dislike Triss but she is captive to her emotions and desires. One can't but feel sorry for her.

To lose her status in the royal court is a tough pill to swallow. When she meets Geralt in Novigrad the situation is extremely tough as Triss is trying to stay alive at that point.

Keep calm and respect the lore! Or hope on the Triss hype train.
