Quoting myself :
Keep calm and respect the lore! Or hope on the Triss hype train.
More I do fistfighting more I hate it. Most fights have no skill or tactic involved at all. Currently against level 10 dude who hits harder than level 30 Forktail and spams heavy attack after heavy attack after heavy attack none stop. Shit isn't fun or challenging, just absurd BS where you need pray that you get lucky counter in between his attacks.
Miss counter by little? He does instant light attack that staggers you and heavy spam then.

I would strongly advice disabling most of the HUD (immersion breaking fluff) and even removing music at times when just wondering in the wilderness.
Dat atmosphere.
1.04 patch is out for consoles. Fixes xp bugs.
I fully agree. And it's at its worst when you have to fight multiple people in an enclosed space. All you do is dodge nonstop and a two hits in and dodge out. You should hope that you don't get stuck in a corner.More I do fistfighting more I hate it. Most fights have no skill or tactic involved at all. Edit: 18, not 10. Finally got him swap corners of the ring so had enough smooth area to side step in <.<
Damn never thought of it that way. I know what Triss did but spending time with her first and not Yennefer was my big mistake.
The parry window is really early, but for whatever fucking reason, in fistfights Geralt is much less responsive than in usual combat. I need to press the block button as soon as someone even twitches, otherwise it doesn't registerCounterattack has a massive window. As soon as you see the animation begin for their attack just hold block. When they stagger hit 2-3 times and stop.
Ew, what's that coming out of her nose? Or is that the joke?
Is there anyway to get Dijikstra on yoursquad for the brothers in arms quest? He said fuck you because I never got his money back for him. I didn't even know there was an option to do that.
That dude is a straight bro.

There are like three threads on this. Patch has been out for a while now.
Not out yet for Xbone though.
I find it hilarious whenever Triss is mentioned around Yennefer. Kaer Morhen really enforces this.Yeah, as time progresses the games makes it quite evident what Yennefer thinks about Triss. CD Projekt decided to distance themselves from the novels in this regard but the writing works.
If youasked Menge about the stolen treasure during your infiltration quest you can afterwards tell Dijkstra where it is. He will then provide financial support for you for the Brothers in Arms quest.

No Place Like Home (8:35) was also hilarious in that regard.

The rock trolls are the star of this game so far. Fucking hilarious.
Yep. Wish there was a way to quicksave on ps4 though.Reload an earlier save? People should have several save states in RPG's, something that was rammed into our consciousness back in the late 90s.

Yeah, I did that bit mere moments ago as well.Dandelion's side quest is awesome. It starts as a boring fetch quest and ends with a small self contained adventure. My second favorite so far.
Only stand out medicore/annoying quest I've done so far is the Sword and Dumplings quest or whatever it's called. You run back and forth between the same few places like 3 times.
Not sure what they were thinking with that one.
One thing that I would like to see is less help with quest markers. If only the game provided just the starting point for monster contracts and then you'd have to rely solely on your witcher senses. I guess one can just disable the minimap but it is all a bit of a hassle.
Is there a quick key for that? Have to check it out.
I'm baffled that anyone would want to use more Witcher senses. Easily one of the worst aspects of the game.

It's like they knew that doing all these constant chores and favors for Dandelion would get annoying, but then at the last minute, tone takes a complete 180 and then we get to do one of the most interesting quests in Novigrad
Lol this. I thought I was playing 720p.I'm glad the font size was upped on consoles, but I must have really gotten used to the previous size because it seems so big now and it keeps throwing me off.
Especially whenasking Yen about the bed.
Most definitely. I completely played into the whole amnesia dynamic as to get most from the story and felt like a mouse when other people commented on it around Yennefer (after Triss was gone from the picture). She is all calm and composed, walks away from those moments and thenthrows furniture out the window.
I have no problem with witcher sense with the exception of the aspect ratio which is far too zoomed in and nauseating. The concept is fine.
