How much more till the finale?Got to go get the sunstone with Phillipa
Well it depends on the order you did the quests in, but pretty much nearing the end.

Final stretch. If you've done the other objectives then you're about to initiate the end game run.
For meShe teleported me to the near by lake when I pried for information about the bed. I was in tears lol
I wish I never heard about the mutagen glitch on neogaf... (in case you don't know your bonus from the mutagen will go away after a load or even after a few moments of normal play...you can test this by seeing your bonus in the bottom right on damage and taking off your red and then reapplying your red mutagen and see if your damage is different, or check your sign damage/bonus after taking off and putting on again the blue)
now I don't even know if it is worth messing with them since they keep going away for me.
press jump button before landing to roll and eliminate or greatly reduce fall damageGreat game. But had to come on here to say one thing . . .
FIX THE FUCKING FALL DAMAGE.
I CAN'T SURVIVE ACID GETTING SPIT IN MY FACE BY GRAVE HAGS, OR GETTING BODY SLAMMED BY AN ICE GIANT, OR A VICIOUS PACK OF GHOULS, BUT EVEN I CAN SURVIVE A 12 FOOT FALL IN MY CURRENT UNATHLETIC FORM. WHY IN THE FUCK CAN'T GERALT?!
after 1.04 scrolling around the mini map seems to stutter now for anyone else? (not hitting any icons either)

WHaaaatt??!?
Seriously, does this work?
Have you actually tested if the actual damage changes when using Signs? I recall someone else saying it didn't and it was a display bug only.
Dandelion's side quest is awesome. It starts as a boring fetch quest and ends with a small self contained adventure. My second favorite so far.

Anyone know if it's possibly to patch the game from a usb?
I'm without internet at home at the moment, hoping I can dl the patch at my local library, put it on a usb then patch it back at home.
This can't be done in 2015 can it?
It always had a 'bit' of that but it seems slightly worse now right? Most open world games have really laggy map screens sadly.
The patches downloaded from GOG Galaxy at least are stored in <install path>GOG Games\!Downloads\the_witcher_3_wild_hunt\patch_witcher3_<whatever version>.exe
You can also download them from the GOG.com site IIRC. Not sure about the Steam version.
Awesome, found a handy reddit link, thanks for the fast response man!
For anyone else in my situation:

Has anyone else been seeing minor graphical glitches with items' icons? I've been seeing this, occasionally, across all patches so far. I'm wondering if it's a game bug or if my PS4 is dying or something.
Just make sure you have the GOG version when patching, as I'm not certain they are compatible with the Steam version. Someone might want to clarify if they know.
Hope he brought is Cursed oil.Managed to catch this Castlevania-like moment.
The rock trolls are the star of this game so far. Fucking hilarious.

Started Skellige a couple of hours ago. Swear I'm like 50+ hours in. Then all the next batch of side quests, contracts, question marks, etc. hit you. Based.
Fucking adore this game.
Yeah, funny fuckers.
Kinda depends on your character build. If you invested a bunch of points in signs go with Griffin. If you invested a bunch of points in the combat tree the random one is probably better.Which should I use?
Griffin Enhanced Steel Sword with
155ish attack
+10% sign intensity
+5% experience from humans and nonhumans
+Two free slots
Or
Other random Steel sword with
143ish attack
+75% critical damage
+20 armour piercing
+One free slot
What dya reckon dudes and dudettes?

Pretty much. If you got hard with the spec that matches the set, almost none of the random swords will probably beat having that extra sign intensity on each pieces of gear for Griffin, for example. If you just don't care and go full into combat tree and ignore everything else then I think the random weapons aren't too bad because they have all those massive crit damage multipliers on them usually.Kinda depends on your character build. I use a mix of both. 5/5 upgraded for heavy attack and fast attack, plus levelled up the initial Quen and Axii power slots. I'm only level 14 mind.
That sort of thing has been the Witcher 3's most genre-defining trait; subverting quest design-related expectations at every turn. You'll have tiny quests that no other developer would even implement, with significant choices and dialog; and seemingly straightforward, short, forgettable quests that will divert into massive sidequests of their own, without any warning beforehand. It's a remarkably fresh take on quest design, bringing a level of creativity and maturity to game design as much as it is to storytelling. More than anything, it displays a level of confidence in their game that's largely unseen nowadays, giving players the possibility to actually miss entire sections of the game without even realising it.
I'm seriously at loss as to how anyone will one-up the Witcher 3's quest and storytelling design for years to come. The ideology that brings about that sort of design is just so counter to the focus-grouped, high-budget games of today, which are utterly mortified of being unclear in any fashion. And smaller budget titles, while potentially having this ambition, will lack the budget/time/polish to pull it off for the most part.
The Witcher 3 is simply amazing.
It's similar to the 3D Legend of Zeldas. Press jump as you land to roll, which will vastly reduce (or even eliminate) the damage received from a fall. Huge drops will still be a problem, but smaller ones will be a trivial loss of health.
Lol
Did they remove the seashell seller from selling seashells in the Novigrad square?
I guess CDPR wanted to curb stomp the money glitch.
