Quick question about allies for a certain big battle
will there be a problem between Roche, Ves, and Letho at the Battle of Kaer Morhen? I don't want want any of them to leave but Roche and Ves seem upset that Letho is there. Anything I should do?
So that sweet mysterious tower on Undvik, will a quest take me there or should I just go explore it myself? I was kinda disappointed that Lord of Undvik doesn't take you there...

Try moving around. A few times I couldn't open a trapdoor because the cursor was focusing on the ladder underneath and trying to 'use' that instead of 'open'ing the door.
Almost can't believe I spent my entire night after work, aside from some GoT time and a quick dinner, not only just playing this game, but just exploring one small area of it. All I did in about 4 hour of play was Lord of Undvik and exploring Undvik itself and the smaller islands surrounding it. While I agree that the detective gameplay is a little on the passive side, I still enjoy the long detective missions like this one.
What happened to the lunatic living inside the ship on Undvik, though?
He told me to come back for him and bring nails and cloth and later on there would be nails highlighted with quest item bubbles that I now have 69 of, but that never triggered a quest and the guy is gone now...

Thanks, but is it a quest that starts when you go there or a quest you find elsewhere?
So I got my collector's edition today. I don't know if other impressions have been posted (I'm guessing so), but there's nothing in the OP so others might be interested.
My first impression was that EBGames packed the hell out of the box. My second impression was that maybe CDPR went a little overboard.
Not a bad collection really. Copy of the game & extras. A steelbook with Quen marks on the spine. An artbook like the previous game. And a surprisingly decent quality wolf's head medallion.
It's a great trilogy to have picked up special editions for. I have to say the griffin fight is a lot better than Witcher 2's Geralt bust. It had some neat papercraft things, although unfortunately they don't really last. The artbooks are usually the real treasure. I'm pretty sure each game came with a good quality map. The Witcher 1 had a copy of the short story "The Witcher" and 2 had a few little knickknacks.
Not pictured: Dice bag and two coins that are in a drawer and I forgot about. Still cool though. There's a few more shots in the album but not much more. I don't know when it's appropriate to wear a medallion but I'll have to find some excuse.
I'm playing on PS4 and has my first crash to desktop/XMB/whatever the hell they call it now last night as well. I haven't had one of those since the early days of Battlefield 4 I don't think. Thankfully the game had autosaved almost at the exact moment it crashed, so I didn't lose a single second of progress.
It was such a weird place that I can't imagine autosave should have kicked in for any reason, so I don't think it was a regular autosave that caused a crash. It's almost like the game recognized something that would cause a crash imminently and saved. Bizarre, but welcome.
I did get a bit burned out on the game but now, 90 hours in, I've started delving into the Gwent. Managed to win with inkeeper in Oxenfurt and Zoltan ! That's quite a high hurdle for me. Scorch cards are such a pain to deal with and AI is usually good enough to hold to them till the last moment.
lol at the "If I catch you exhorting coin again, I will send you straight to the front. Eastern Front." line.
144 hours in and I've finally finished the main quest. The new bar for open world RPGs has been set. TW3 has entered my top 3 favorite games of all time.
I still have a couple of sidequests left and I was thinking about starting a Death March run after I finish those up, but I think I might wait and see if New game+ is really going to be a thing.(pls CDPR)
But goddammit, Triss is my girl, has been for two games! But.....I don't know Yen. Geralt might, but I don't. Should I get to know her? I don't know what to do! WHY! I've never had a game's decision bother me this much.
No, Lord of Undvik is a separate quest but they both take place on the little island of Undvik. They're tied together in placement and pathing but not in story, so you will likely stumble over one or the other. (Do Lord of Undvik as your primary quest, since that's the quest the area was clearly made for and the armorer's tools are just a bonus.)
I had "oh...wow" moment a few days ago.
Saw this lighthouse in the distance and thought it'd be simply a thingy outside of the map to show that the world is bigger than what we get to explore.
Jesus, what were they thinking when they gave those Gargoyles that jump attack? That shit is worse than the Wraith's lolteleportattack.
On a side note: Does meditating near monsters cause them to despawn? Just meditated near a Ice elemental to refill my bombs and shit and when I was done, he wasn't there anymore.

Messed around with some console commands and got myself a level appropriate set of Kaer Morhen armor, it's slightly worse than my other armors but damn does it look nice, thinking about doing the same with the Temerian and Nilfgaard armor as well.
Yep. You have to kiss her in order to romance Triss. Kissing her doesn't mess things up if you choose Yen either so there's no downside to it really. You might as well reload to a save before or during that quest if you still want to go that route.
Does anyone use a sign build? The Griffin armour set seems all about making signs super awesome, but I can't figure out a good way to allocate points in that tree.
Also I told Triss
I love her and she said she was going to Kaer Morhen.

i would kill EVERY SINGLE HUNTER single handedly with OP Quen if i had too
basicly
break her free, kill ALL the hunters, leave Novigrad
my Geralt gives no fucks about the law
Because "next playthrough" is a commitment of another ~100 hours, and while they're still playing it, most people probably expect these romance subplots to affect their game in a meaningful way.
