From Developer on CDPR forum regarding PS4 framerate today:

"Our development team is still looking into this issue. FPS on PS4 has been slightly improved with the recent patches but we want to say something when we have solid facts to present to you. As mentioned, the team is trying to improve this aspect of the game, and I will share the information with you as soon as I have something.

Thank you for your understanding and sorry about the silence on this topic."

So there is hope yet!

Hooked on this game but the leveling push/pull is weird.

Still in Velen and level 11. Finished the Baron quest line and checked out most of the POI.

Now I am over leveled for most Velen remaining quests.

And doing more and more side quests will bump me up over the for main quest line (currently suggested level 10).

Thoughts?
I'mlevel 21 and just entered skellige. Over level ahoy

After having cleared out all the POIs in Skellige, I can safely say that I will kill myself if I ever see another siren. Even Geralt can't deal with it anymore and refuses to dive when I press the button. (Hoping that last bit goes away next time I launch...)

Story related tho. So if you haven't done the main story quest called
Nameless
, don't do it.
Yep, the quest Beefy mentions can break if you don't do the main quest bit before you do the side quest bit in that area. (Or, well, it could when I did it, dunno if patched.)

Hello, i just finished the Nameless and In Ciri's footsteps quests, and i would like to know if there was a point of no return in the Act 1 ? I don't want to miss any side quests.
Thanks :)

OMFG! I just realised you can loot the undewater treasures while still being on the surface from the barrel!

All that wasted time trying to position my self exactly to get that "Loot" icon.LOL

There's not a point of no return, but some quests can expire when
you are reaching Isle of Mist. But the game gives you an advice on it.

Thanks to you :)
I'm going to lift the curse of
Morkvarg
, what a quest !
I'm still hesitating between kill or let him alive
, so many dilemmas :)

Motherfucker!

I finally found the elf in the burning house again,
but it looks like the bandits already burned it. Gahhhh!

Didn't realize events just proceed on its own. :/

NPC reactions when you run into them are far too OTT. Especially annoying in towns, especially annoying as movement controls aren't exactly precise.

I have no idea why they thought they were a good idea. They were amusing at first but it didn't take long for that to wear off.

The guy going "HAAWWWWHHH" will never not be hilarious. Cracks me up every damn time.

Just experienced my first issue with a quest. I'm trying to do the towers up of mice quest and the magic lamp has disappeared from my inventory. I've looked through everything and it's not there.

Do the two other currencies have any use at all ? I've been told I can use them with specific vendors who don't use Crowns. Is this true ? I haven't found any.

Did you check your equipped slots? It auto-equips.

Never seen anything like that. They just pile up until I have an errand around Vivaldi in Novigrad, at which point I quickly exchange them.

Not gonna lie, that post-game depression is hitting me hard, hasn't been this bad since first finishing TLoU a couple years back. It's a rough deal sometimes getting completely ejected from a fully realized world with characters and stories you get attached to :(

Feels like after you finish a great book, but if that book took around 180 hours to read.

I'm still wrapping up White Orchard, BUT... I'm a little worried the rest of the game is going to be the same: find a question mark, take out a monster hive, wipe out a bandit camp, find a power source, etc.

The story seems okay and some of the sidequests take really dark/surprising turns where it's tough to figure out which option to choose, but I hope the ? marks get a little more exciting and that the story picks up.

I know I have a long way to go, but it's doesn't have its claws in me like Skyrim did, back in the day.

Just disable points of interest (question marks) in GUI menu. These are not quests and it's actually better to randomly find them when you travel. If you're completionist than enable them back after finishing the whole game.

Kind of a strange thing to say considering Skyrim's exploration is pretty repetetive too. If Witcher 3 is nothing but bandit camps, Skyrim is nothing but Draugr-filled dungeons that all look exactly the same.

I mean, I really enjoyed Skyrim too but that complaint doesn't make sense to me.

Turn off points of interest. They're almost all low reward, repetitive filler type events. Having them show on your map makes them feel obligatory, turning them off allows them to become random encounters as you explore.

Unless you enjoy that kind of busywork. Your experience should improve.

Also the quests get much more compelling in he next area, WO really is just a warm up. There are tonnes of side quests, and the majority of them are very well written (even the lower quality ones are above average).

Once again I encourage people to try out the Ekhidna decoction if you're running the Whirl skill and see what being invincible feels like

Wonder what other game-breaking combos there are like that.

Really like the look of the Temerian DLC armor. It's not as good as the first tier Feline armor but easily the second best. I hope we get a DLC where we can either dye the armor or customize them somehow, because the majority of armor looks kinda meh.

Lambert is such a dick, but I can't help liking the guy.

Still, I wish you could spar with your fellow Witchers, knocking the snarky jerk on his arse would be petty satisfying.

Mods exist on PC to transmog certain armours, so it will definitely be possible eventually on PC.

Hopefully they add a proper in game transmog system so consoles can too, so many armour sets are atrocious.

Push yourself a little, I sometimes get a little open world fatigue when I hit new areas in games like this and have to actively force myself to reinvest.

It's worth it here, Skellige is a beautiful continent to explore and the quests are very good.

It certainly is beautiful, including the music. I will play it, tonight or tomorrow. I must

Hope so, i'm on PS4 so am stuck with some of these light armor clown outfits.

Probably true... I haven't played Skyrim in ages and time away has likely romanticized my memories.

There's way too much to do in this game. I haven't checked my hours yet, but I'm level 20, wearing/carrying all Enhanced Cat gear, have cleared out pretty much everything I've found, most of Velen is still question marks, and I'm only just now going to Skellige. The game's been telling me to do that for about ten levels now, but I've been "No, no... let me clear out my quest log first..."

Yeah I agree. Obviously the wilderness is padded wth bandit camps and monster nests, but I feel like just when I've seen enough of those I encounter something unique or interesting. There are countless ruins, towers, caves, dungeons, etc with unique looks to them that don't fit a particular mold / formula, and many of them are the site of a cool quest.

Wound up exploring this tower I saw from the distance and then got attacked by a fork tail and had to flee for my life. Never got to see what was inside.

IMO, Witcher 3 does everything better, minus the feeling of "being able to touch the world". Sounds stupid, but being able to interact with items, and to view things in first person goes a long way towards immersion. With the current exploration camera in W3, everything feels too far away, and a lack of even a storage chest make item collection less fun.

So what are the highest level roaming monsters you find? I'm in Velen / Novigrad and outside of only one cave, I've never seen above 16-18.

Does shit get really hard in Skellige? I like the feeling of having to flee for my life that I mentioned above.

Applesauce

Boom! Bitch-slapped!
When do you get the opportunity to play Dijkstra and Roche at Gwent? I think the quest where you have to find Dijkstra's gold has glitched because he isn't at the marker in the bath house, he's in his office and can't complete the quest. Don't really care about the quest but don't want to miss the chance to get his card.

Gwent: Old Pals quest. I think you get it after you beat Zoltan in Gwent.
