So what are the highest level roaming monsters you find? I'm in Velen / Novigrad and outside of only one cave, I've never seen above 16-18.

Does shit get really hard in Skellige? I like the feeling of having to flee for my life that I mentioned above.
Roaming as in nekkers, drowners and other little punks? They cap out at 19 as far as I've seen, and even those are rare. 8-15 is the common range.

Skellige has level 21 cylopses walking around here and there. Specific places, like nests or points of interest and so on, can have enemies all the way up to level 50 or so. They vary wildly and you can find a level 35 forktail just a short walk away from a level 7 wyvern. There's a crazy-ass griffin in Skellige that one-shots me through Quen even though I'm level 30.

The level 22 wolves are probably the most annoying.

Cool. I really really appreciate how this game does not do "zones" of enemies. It's really nice just having them all mixed up instead of spread in a predictable gradient. So much more organic. I love roaming and killing worthless drowners and then getting wrecked minutes later by some horrid hag that's 4x their level.

IMO, Witcher 3 does everything better, minus the feeling of "being able to touch the world". Sounds stupid, but being able to interact with items, and to view things in first person goes a long way towards immersion. With the current exploration camera in W3, everything feels too far away, and a lack of even a storage chest make item collection less fun.

Upgrade to the 100 unit saddle bag and it's very difficult to run out of space. Especially if you sell stuff often (make sure to dismantle/sell pelts in your junk tab, they add up quickly).

I haven't come close to running out of space in hours.

Guys can ask something in regards to point of no return. Please dont respond in a spoilery matter just a simple yes / no will suffice. :)

Is the quest
The Isle of Mists
the point of no return, ie certain side quests become unavailable if you start it?

I am only asking because i have lots of side stuff to do yet and it kinda surprised the recommended level is only 22.

This game is huge and overwhelming. I don't think my usual open world detailed sweep approach works (from least important to most important (side)quests and finally the main quest).
Too many ?s on the map, most of which are way above my level (4, approaching 5, just got to Velen after I sweeped White Orchard).
Should I even bother with notice boards and question marks or just do sidequests I can (level-wise) and then do the main quest, returning to all the ?s later?

Yep. I've been through the game and made sure to get that bag. It's just having a storage chest, to me, gives a feeling of "home". I understand not giving a Witcher a place to live, but I think a chest (like in W2) is a nice video game compromise.

Ok, i instantly regret going to the CD project W3 forum. Why? The first thread title i saw was: 'Question: What does Triss smell like?'.

Storage chest at Kaer Morhen would work fine. Also, Geralt having locks ups scattered around or even just one would be perfectly in character. Could even reason how they could all hold the same items, some kind of magical chest. Plenty of that stuff in game anyway.

Well...finished the experience. Only took me 203 hours.
I am...both happy about the conclusion, it ended the way I hoped and wished for...
And yet I am sad it is over, I mean saga I read in 99 for the first time, then waited so many years to continue in game form, then waited 4 years from release of TW2 to conclude in Wild Hunt....

And CDP went all in, they crafted not just the best RPG ever made, not just the best game ever made, but most of all, the best possible love letter to the saga and its fans that they could...
Never before did I experience trying to (unsuccessfully) hold back tears five times in a single videogame, but it happened here.
The epilogue at
snowy White Orchard
was so unexpected and beautiful, I wish it was even longer :)

As for what happened...ending spoilers
I suspected when I brought Ciri to Emhyr that she would decide to take him up on his offer and become Empress...I kinda wanted it, since I thought it would be nice to have someone who is not an asshole ruling, for a change...and that is what happened. The farewell was so bittersweet...
Yen and Geralt are enjoying their mundane, politics-free existence, getting up at noon, baths are involved. Such a happy ending :)
Lambert and Keira got together, Letho is alive, Nilfgaard won the war with Ciri suceeding Emhyr, who dealt with his domestic enemies with extreme prejudice. Cerys rules peacefully Skellige and I wish she would play part in expansions because she is god damn awesome.

I think I am going to take a break from games, at least for a month or two :)

How much of the game do I have left? I just got to Skelige about 80 hours in. Finished the Velen and Novigrad main quest and most of the side quest in those areas.

there are higher level enemies in the south-east corner of velen, and on other fringes and hidden corners of the velen/novigrad map.
and then there are a few level 20-30 elementals around the map.

Got pretty much the same ending except my
Geralt friendzones Yennefer.

108 hours 40 minutes. I have quite a few qualms about the game a lot of which is about the main story of which I'm, outside of a few moments, not a big fan. Still it's a very good maybe great game. I remember 9 ago, when I was excited to play the demo of Witcher 1 oncomputer I had cant access to and the excruciating load times there. If someone told me how this franchise would erupt in popularity and change in the span of 3 games I would not have believed it. Will try to write something more later.

Still plenty of main story left, hard for me to say how much as I always interspersed the main story with sidequests.

Damn, lots of cool-sounding swords and diagrams in the Kaer Morhen area. I just found one called The Bride, assuming that's a Kill Bill reference. This lategame exploration I'm doing is yielding some really cool stuff. I now have golden armors, a silver armor, a cool black sword... There better be some golden gloves to go with this outfit!

Having a surprising amount of fun playing fashion guru to Geralt. I'm looking forward to rocking the Nilfgaardian Guardsman armor and the DLC one too, and I haven't even worn any mastercrafter witcher sets. Problem is I have less questing left to do than I have outfits to wear and, I mean, you don't just wanna rock an outfit for like 10 minutes...

Just got to Skellige? You have like 100 hours left at your pace and depending on how hard you want to go exploring the seas of Skellige. Not even kidding!

How does travelling between states work? Ive sent 95% of my time in Velen and have yet to get to Skellige

I like that one of the options is to pay the captain 100g.

It makes the distance/travel seem far. Can I just fast travel after though?

I prefer the idea of paying some service like ship/travel cart to get between states

I need filters for quests. Would have hidden all gwent, fist fight and horse race related quests.

Yeah, but I did get around to most of those eventually. Didn't really get into Gwent until Playthrough #2, though. It's not terrible, but I don't find it as enjoyable as some mini-games. Even Pazaak was more fun, IMO.

Triss vs. Yen question, Im just at the point where I can say to Yen
1. I still love you, too or 2. Sorry but I don want to be with you anymore.

I kissed Tiss while ago...

Could anyone help me out? What are the consequences telling
Yen that I lover her now?

Not gonna lie, that post-game depression is hitting me hard, hasn't been this bad since first finishing TLoU a couple years back. It's a rough deal sometimes getting completely ejected from a fully realized world with characters and stories you get attached to :(

Feels like after you finish a great book, but if that book took around 180 hours to read.

And now imagine the feeling when the game is actually a sequel to 8 books that I have read several times over the last 16 years because they are my favourite book saga ever.
Post-game/book deppression. Yes.

I need help on this, please.

Secondary quests
cabaret, king's gambit and a deadly plot

If I do this will they trigger the ending or something? I have yet to meet
Yen at the site of magic cataclysm (echoes of the past)
in the skillege's forest.
So I wanna know can I do those secondary quests now without problem?
