Great, thanks for the help.

Another quick question, can you go back and finish all the points of interest after you finish the main story? I know it mentioned the 'you better save here' before going
to the mist island to find Ciri
so i saved a separate file but wanted to know whether i would need to do the POI on my previous file or continue to finish the main story.

Yes, you can do the remaining sidequests and POI after you completed the main story. I'm not sure if some of them got closed or marked as failed though since I haven't continued after that point.

The fight with
Imlerith
is maddeningly fucking stupid.

Seriously why do games put piss easy but long sections before a boss just goes nuts. I have to spend 10 goddamned minutes getting to the piece of the fight that actually fucking matters and then I just hop around like a fucking idiot and if he stun locks me oh well try again.

That battle was poorly conceived IMO. Had to lower the difficulty specifically for it because the boss had so much goddamn HP, nearly immune to sign and keeps warping around, making it a chore to fight.

yeah, and he has that ice shield thing that magically comes back whenever he teleports. i kept the game on death march, but it took me a good 10+ tries to beat it. just had to get the timing of the teleport down and slash him when he was still. took quite a while to get that last 3rd of health. also mother fuck having to skip through the cutscene every single time. baffling why games still have that annoyance

I'm not home at the moment so I can't try the DLCs out. Does the wolf gear have swords or crossbow as well? Does it have 4 tiers?

Edit: nvm, went back a few pages and got my answer.

Novigrad, Oxenfurt, and a couple of locations in Skellige as well. Gotta go to a barber though, can't do it yourself.

Do you have to save/reload to get all the random cards from the NPC players to finish your deck, or will just playing everyone eventually guarantee you the entire set? Clarification, I know you can get duplicates of cards that you already have, and you can only win 1 card from each player, so stands to reason if unlucky, you may get too many duplicates and be unable to complete your set. Just want to know the best way to tackle this awful trophy.

I think there are more people you can play then there are cards. I found a video guide for the merchants and random npcs you can play and started going though one by one till it popped. I didn't use a reload or anything. The gwent trophy and the headshot trophy are kinda lame.

So what's the best way to get Gwent cards? I'm about 12 hours in
just finished up Keira's storyline
and have found zero notable cards thus far.

Got through it first try over here. Of course I was on B&BB, so that may have had something to do with it. His tells were pretty easy to read. Just sidestep and lay on the thickness before he resets.

I did Death March on my first playthrough and had no problem here either. I'd agree that it's pretty easy to tell when he's going to attack.

Thanks, i figure that some quests might get closed depending on what happens to the people you are with but i had done everything except gwent so i should be safe.

Yeah, I realize there are more players than cards, but if you keep getting cards you already have, you could run out of unique players to play before getting the whole set. At least in theory anyway.

It is extremely shitty that because I missed the one opportunity to get the Dandelion card I can't get it now, and I have to do everything over again on my next playthrough. I hope CDPR patches that shit and let's you get missable unique cards through other means. Pretty sure I got every other unique card besides that one.

I finished the game last night.

My ending:
Ciri became a Witcher, Temeria is still free and Geralt went away with Yennefer to have neverending sex.

So good. I honestly can't see this not being my GOTY. What a masterpiece with some of the best quests I've encountered in an RPG. Not to mention the world design, atmosphere, exploration, creatures and music.

What a journey. Just built my Feline armor and going to finish up my last Witcher Contract, a few more side-quests then I'll wait for the first expansion.

Thanks CDPR.

When the Play Gwent option is in large yellow font with a card icon next to it means winning the match nets you a unique card. The first one is in White Orchard from a guy at the Inn. Also, you can buy them from some merchants. Beating certain people will initiate Gwent Quests and new opponents to play. There are several guides available for it.

Ugh, Wolf School armour looks hideous in all forms.... I was hoping for upgrades of the starter amour, by far the best looking in the game.

Oh well, at least there are mods for it on PC.

I think the random cards you get are set though, limited duplicates included, so there's no way you'll missed the cards from the random pool set. It's pretty shitty that there's missable cards I agree, they should've make some way to get it back really. Maybe via the gwent tournament or high priced merchants selling them.

Initial reaction to Triss' alt costume: Triss wtf are you wearing

After talking to her for a few minutes: I'm liking it a lot. Looks a lot more like a sorceress, but probably wouldn't make sense for her to wear that in Act 1.

Is there any point in getting the fourth level of the Igni sign if I already have 100% burning? Seems like a really lackluster fourth level if that's all it does.

I'm so over leveled. I got to Skellige at level 20. The level 16 prompt is totally wrong. There is a lot of content around level 13-14

The Griffin set would be fantastic if it wasn't for the mid-section, and all that unnecessary glam.

Yes.

It also looks horrid. :(

I only like the starting armour, Ursine is ok... every other set I really don't like. Really not enjoying upgrading in this game.
I hope the modding community really comes through here. Though, I won't be able to enjoy it personally until I get a decent gaming PC. :(

Anybody tried moddin' Raven's Armor into Witcher 3 yet?

Annnndd, got the Mastercrafted Wolven Armor done, overall it looks really nice, a lot more in line with what a Witcher would wear, going to use it til the end of the game I think.

When Redkit comes out there'll be a lot more hopefully.

Don't hold your breath if Skyrim is any indication... There's 50,000+ mods for that game and there's about 5 armor mods that actually look good and aren't just ripped from some other game. And 4 of those are by the same guy.

I can't agree with that, there are tonnes of great looking armour sets for Skyrim.
