Still a low level so it's not really an option.

Also I hate not being able to fast travel at any time. Super annoying to have to run for a minute each time I want to go somewhere. I don't see the point.

Fast travel from anywhere reduces scope. It trivialises the open world.

Sign posts are a great compromise.

Upgrade block to parry arrows, you can do that very early.

So uh for the wolf Armour how do you get the other crystal for the portal? I can see it but I can't get an interact prompt or aard it off its little ledge.

Edit: wow nvm. Fuck these shifty controls. Ugh.

Yeah I got it thx. They make the controls even worse with the last patch? Like holy shit yes geralt roll and jump when I hit interact, run past the ladder and be utterly incapable of having a turn radius of less than a bloody bus. Don't recall them being so bad.

New gear looks amazing to me, especially in combination with the swords and their red sheaths.

The quests were very annoying, though. Already
killed Lugo, so his blacksmiths weren't there
. Had to use Youtube and feel dirty now.

Finally got the Geralt of Rivia hero card from Thaler, now I need to find Nilfgaardian leader cards to start the tourney in Novigrad. Where do you get Nilfgaardian leader cards? The one you start with is kinda useless.

I just came here to post this, too. I can't figure out any way to get the prompt to come up...

I somehow glitched my game into not giving me Ciri's Gwent card. It says I completed the mission even though I didn't play the trader. Now the trader will only sell me stuff, not play me. I think it may have to do with me playing Zoltan when I was suppose to yet.

I am so frustrated and depressed now.

EDIT: Seems like there's a chance the quest will re-open when I beat Dijkstra. I guess normal bugs when you do things out of order in this big game.

Damn, E3 week always plays havok with me actually getting any playtime in. Was hoping to finish in time for Arkham Knight next week but not sure I'm going to make it. I know I could rush and finish it but I don't want to rush this game.

DLC not up on Steam yet? :/

Got this as a present for my Birthday. I'm about to begin now.
Any tips?

PS: Man, I have to say, this is one of the coolest standard editions I've seen. A manual, the OST on a disc, stickers, a map, a small Compendium about the world and lore. There is even a thank you note that almost makes me sad about not buying this myself

God damn,

. Hiiiii-larious. Been waiting for that shit since Vesemir snooped the letter.

Still no wolf armour DLC for Steam... is that right??

Edit: I should have checked the thread found the links PPL thanks heaps!! I've nearly finished the game and I'd like to have all the armours when I do :)

Finally started! I transfered my TW2 save, which was transfered from TW1. :D This is running great with everything at ultra. Oh my god, Gwent is amazing.

This game is freaking gorgeous!!!

I got the tools for the master armorer in crows perch then went on to help her more. Now she says shes still working on the armor. How much time does she want? Does it requires the player to return at some specific level? I am 22.

I feel like the slowest person alive with this game. I'm at about 125 hours and still trucking.

This is probably going to be the longest it's ever taken to beat a game for me.

Just finished this. My god. What a game. I enjoyed the entire ride and never wanted it to end but man did it end spectacularly. I'm extremely satisfied with how everything played out. This was truly a special experience and easily one of the best games I've played in years.
I want to jump back in but I am holding out for a future NG+.

This. Hopefully they give it to us next week but I have a feeling they will save it for last.

I wish they didn't use any pre rendered cutscenes for this game. There's not many but it's jarring since the audio for some reason is significantly lower and obviously all the outfits go back to the default ones.

So, finally took on A Towerful of Mice after doing a lot of other stuff first (level 21, saved Dandelion). Holy shit Geralt why do you tell
the fisherman that his lover was eaten alive
? Bit cold.

That's nothing man, that whole quest is a pile of sadness and the human experience in Geralt's shitty world.

Quest Spoilers:
In mine I ended up trying to lift the curse, and ended up freeing her by taking her bones to her lover. Well, big mistake apparently Ms.Not Vengeful ghost was in fact a very vengeful ghost and is a dangerous type of wraith that kills him the moment I walk 20 feet away. She couldn't leave the isle because her bones were still there, once removed she was freed to roam about and do as she pleased.

I love Rock Trolls. I'm so good with them, I'm like the Rock Troll whisperer. I love how they say trolololol and how nice they are compared to most other creatures. I really hate killing them.

I haven't noticed a single one.

Needed a break after that quest. That scream, man. And things are getting even worse with the next quest.

This game was such a ride... incredible.

Thanks for a reply.

About the Rock trolls. I had to kill the three farting trolls in a cave where I got the Ursine Armor set part 1 I think. They just started attacking so I had to take them out. I felt bad because for some reason it felt like they were supposed to be friendly.

The Crones fight is awful. Ciri is awful. You can't heal, and can't do anything except just flash around and hack at them.

Geralt had his emotions surgically (mutagenically) dulled, so it's no wonder he just tells people the gory details without really thinking about it

You regenerate if you don't take damage for a while, so you can dash around and recover a bit. I did play through on normal though it may be different on higher difficulties.

Sure, but that doesn't make a fun fight. Just dash dash dash dash the entire time. On B&BB

Haha. I loved that quest too. And I did the same thing as you did as I got suckered by the story, even though I should have see the cues otherwise.

So yeah, got that ending first then reloaded the save to get the other, and I guess in the end it doesn't matter since
the poor bastard dies no matter what

Ciri is awful/boring to use in every fight but it's just this particular one that has a modicum of difficulty to it. Basically you just spawn the dash move so they can't hit you, or stay away from them while your health slowly regens.

Is there a SPOILERS thread for end game discussion and unmarked spoilers? Just finished. 114 hours. 40/52 achievements.
Ending was....eh missing something? Not sure.

I did all the important secondary quests, it simply involved assisting Ciri too much, basically not giving her enough self confidence

Ciri dies, Geralt presumably dies

Thanks Swag, okay that is really a shitty ending. Thanks God I got my favored ending for the Game.

I don't think that's true at all, but he was raised by a bunch of uncles who only knew how to kill monsters, so he's not exactly well-adjusted. For the most part he's a perfectly natural self-loathing drama queen.

I take you playing on a PS4 or Xbone, on PC the difference is quite obvious.

That's what I love about this game is that it completely depowers the feel good power fantasy I CAN DO EVERYTHING AND HELP EVERYONE that happens to be 99% of RPGs these days, and in way this game feels like something that came from the 90s in design. The way the quests work, and world states reminds me so much of Fallout 2 for some reason and that's a huge commendation considering that game is fucking amazing.

This game is fucking amazing, just wait till you get to Skillege there are so many moments where you think you are helping but you aren't and the responses you think would be good, aren't.

Hell, the whole game is kind of like that but it becomes more apparent in Skellige just because of the distinct culture difference.

I finally made it to LATE GAME SPOILER:
Kaer Morhen, and I'm currently helping out Lambert and the other guy and there is another quest with Yen that I haven't done yet to try and list the curse off of Uma.
