The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt |OT2| Wanted to find Ciri, but everything Gwent wrong

directly to the left of Fyke Isle, across the water, there are 3 question marks in quick succession. I got one of them, then there is a place of power, and something else I cant figure out how to get to. The marker shows them under the ground, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get down there. Anyone know?

Is it just me or does Triss
seem different than in WItcher 2, maybe I'm just not remembering good but her personality and everything about her seems way different in this one than in W2. She just seems off.

ok people, can we be a bit smarter about spoiler tags? You need to give someone a hint as to what it's about so they know whether to click it or not. Just saying "Hey,
blah blah blah
" is an awful usage.

No idea if this is a spoiler but I spoiler-ed it anyway in case folks want to go blind: It's about romances.
I read elsewhere that you cant romance Yen and Triss, else you will be alone. Will I have time to get to know Yens personality or will I get locked into Triss before I even meet up again with Yen?

Hate getting locked into game relationship crap when the characters personality sucks. I started DA:I as a female elf and restarted purely because all the lesbian marriage choices sucked personality-wise. lol

Triss from Witcher 1 to Witcher 2 was a massive change in personality since CDPR basically made her into Yennefer in Witcher 1 but decided to follow her character more closely like in the novels in WItcher 2.

As to W2 to W3 nah. You'll have to expand on it but I don't see it.
W2 she was gone for the majority of the game and when the situation is serious she gets serious too. Look at her during the final quest of W2 when shit was serious. When it's just her and Geralt in a relaxed environment she's just as sweet and flirtatious in that game as in W3. Difference is in W3 she has to hold herself back because Geralt is supposed to be with Yen, even if Triss loves him too

I fucked up :(

Define fucked up. Because if you mean due to what the guy tells you above, you probably didn't.

If you decide to pursue a relationship with Triss, and you know that's what you want then you can still get to know Yen's personality just fine. You basically have one point in a personal quest for each of them where you have to tell them whether you want to go steady. You can't say yes to both of them if you want to end up with one of them.

If the game has one issue is that it doesn't give players the chance to get to know both ladies before making a decision.

Strange... I had a question mark that wouldn't pop. I logged off in frustration and booted up the next day and it popped. Maybe you just need to get out and get back in. (makes absolutely no bloody sense but it worked for me)

Sadly no. Been several days, since. I've tried meditating, different times of day, closing and opening the game, leaving the zone, progressing the story, nothing seems to fix this.

Which quests are the "no going back", for romances?

Early Skellige sidequest pertaining to Yennifer
This is that Dijn quest. I had to tell Yennifer that I didn't feel the magic anymore. I'm going to go and be faithful to Triss. I still feel bad though.

Damn, wish I grabbed The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut when it was on sale for like $2, I really want to go back and experience the first two games after I finish the third.

'Now or Never' for Triss
'The Last Wish' for Yen

Both have a decision at the end. For Triss it requires more effort to get the romantic relationship because it depends on certain choices you made prior whether it works or not

Good man. I did the same. It's hard, but definitely worth it.

So as long as I don't do Now or Never I'm not locked into Triss? Even if I do the "right choices"?

Wish I had known this, just did Yen's, but
didn't fight for Triss to stay because I figured already sleeping with Yen early on in Skellige forced me into a relationship with her. Then I saw that dialogue choice in Last Wish and was like, fuck. Oh well, second playthrough I'll go with her.

Found a good amount of surprises today while treasure-hunting. Various caves and desolated hamlets with accidental quests or people calling out to you. Even had to take on 3 wyverns as a result, something which I hadn't planned for. But that's part of the awesome nature of the adventure!

Priscilla's song, wow. The way everyone reacted to the piece was great. Nice scene all around.
I love this game but holy shit at this game performance wise, especially in Novigrad, and specifically at
Dandelion's
inn. It's gotten significantly worse since I first got to Novigrad.
inb4 lol consoles.
Yeah, my performance in Novigrad seems to get worse each tie I start up the game. Carrying around a torch at night is a baddddd idea.
I have the next two days off. Gonna try and make a dent in this bad boy.
This game will dent you.
Nah sorry. Yen overall has a bigger impact in this game but Triss has always been my favorite since the novels.
Yep. I've always felt for Triss in the books.

Yes. You can do all of the right choices and still not be locked into a relationship with Triss until you're sure you want to pursue her instead of Yennefer.

In fact let me take this time to make this clear to everybody who is confused about relationships and/or complaining:

you can get to know both of the game's main romantic interests before making a decision on who to pursue. The game doesn't make it clear which is an issue. So if you're not sure which quest title is the one that makes you decide whether you want to be romantically involved with a lady, you might want to find out.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
is there like only five faces and hairstyles for npcs it's kind of distracting

Edit: I can't seem to find the recipe for hybrid oil. Can anyone tell me where it may be located?

I am pretty sure the handful of kids in the swamp are the only kid models in the game atleast, lol. I've seen the same bald one a lot.

The main armorer in Oxenfurt has gone? Theres no icon.

Have you gone to his location? The icons for places in this game is really bad.

Forgot where the Journeyman Blacksmith in Novigrad was and had to spend a good 15+ minutes to find him. Why merchants and blacksmiths, ect. don't stay on the damn map is beyond me

Anyone find the key for the Person in Distress at a Bandits' Camp marker on a small isle in Velen, just southeast of Crow's Perch? I slaughtered and looted everyone in the camp, even reloaded to kill the Bandit leader again, but no one had it on them. I couldn't find it in any of the containers either.

Man, my PS4 copy is running like absolute shit after the patch. Ran into more glitches playing it today than the rest of my playtime combined. Hard locks, camera getting stupid close and staying close, NPCs spawning in awkward positions and "running to their position", bodies floating in the air after they're killed, etc.

You might have to meditate until it's daytime. He doesn't appear otherwise.

Yep I've gone there. Both night and day.

Theres no icon or the dude.

I do think the patch made things buggier for me too. Especially with stuff like lightning, had some weird scenes where I saw it mess up in the background which never happened before.

Also even before the patch I have this weird thing in conversations where sometimes the game transitions from different scenes by blurring out. It's really weird and doesn't happen often, but when it does it'll happen multiple times in the scene.

I have to agree that the combat really does flow better when you're fighting human opponents who can actually be parried and have telegraphed attacks. I look forward to fighting soldiers...monsters not so much. I always end up cheesing fights in some way or another against the latter.

A quest glitched on me

quest is called

Hard Times. I have to deliver the letter to the swords smith who wont give me the prompt to even talk to him

At the very least you can riposte ghouls and nekkers. In fact, their much more aggressive nature makes them the most fun to fight of just about anything in the game. Human opponents are dull, in comparison. Waiting for a crosbow bolt to reflect, or a shielded guy to attack is way worse than the little monsters who will maneuver and attack, but not guard.

It is so frustrating when you use the Axii Puppet Master talent and watch all the enemies just stand around taunting each other for the duration. The AI can be really dumb sometimes.

I feel the opposite. I can't seem to read swordfighter movements as well as monsters and their turtling can be obnoxious.

Yeah, it's more fun fighting human opponents because we can dodge AND parry/counter. While fighting monsters, we can only dodge as lots of their attacks can't be parried. But honestly I found it's easier fighting some monsters than human. Monsters can't parry.

Shielded guys are indeed annoying. Half the time mine glitch and just stand there blocking forever.

what do you do at a place of hauntings? I already have the item
lamp thingy to see ghosts. I found a ghost, but I dont see anything to do.

The quests in this game are phenomenal. Especially the ones you just sort of stumble into.

The journal records that you just stumble into it too. I found signs of the
white lady
when searching for some witcher armour. I followed the trail back to some corpses. Geralt concluded the monster was
a Noonwraith
and went to check if there was a notice about it in the town nearby.
