Could someone please get two pics of Triss, one from TW2 and one from TW3, and paste them side by side?
Basically Triss looks really different in Wild Hunt. In TW2 she looked remarkably real and natural. Had very believable, full cheeks and eyes. Perfect body proportions. In TW3, I don't know why, but CDPR have made all of her features harder and smaller. She doesn't look good. As others said, like an anime character.
So did I, and neither did I. 7 hours for me... I guess you're gonna get your moneys worth anyway.
Kill Bill has a swordsmith character that's a reference to characters in asian cinema who are a reference to the real-life person.
It's some hardcore referenception.
Holy shieet
Never watched Kill Bill I thought it was a simple reference to the legendary Ninja
I had no idea about the samurai! But it's probably Kill Bill – Hattori Hanso in KB Vol. 1 is a swordsmith who retired to make sushi I think. But The Bride comes in and makes him mend his ways
I didn't really mean best open world, but best game with open world structure.
Oh, now that makes more sense. Yep, I don't think Wild Hunt is going to beaten for a
long time in terms of open world structure.
The Phantom Pain's structure, AFAIK, is going to be more like "start in Mother Base > choose a mission > get in chopper and deploy at mission > do mission > extract to Mother Base > choose a mission > get in chopper and reploy" rinse, repeat. It's going to be very bitty and fractured. Which frankly disappoints me hugely – imo the greatness of the early MGS games was that it's a start to finish thread of adventure with no location or stylistic breaks.
But anyway. On-topic: I think MGSV will be a great open world game in terms of mission design and world interaction, but I think Wild Hunt is almost unbeatable in terms of mission structure, character structure and writing.
Am I the only one who thinks her VO is terrible? Her and Dandelion seem completely out of place in that world just because of their American accents.
- fixed for you ;P
Triss, Dandelion and Geralt are from the same place, IIRC, hence their 'American' accents. There's actual narrative justification for it. Once I got over that, I find it much easier to deal with. My gf found this really offputting, too.
