So there is a bandit camp in velen with a fast travel point. A person is in a cage but I can't find a key. Is it quest related somehow because usually the key is on some bandit...
When does fist fighting get good? All my opponents have been incredibly basic and none have landed a single punch on me due to how broken countering and even just wailing on them endlessly has been. They last 10 seconds and it feels completely pointless.
At least it isn't rough or frustrating like horse racing though for sure. Both of these activities are lacking. Only Gwent is superb.
I don't know, I managed to find a fist fight double my level, and while the animations for the opponents punchers where faster it was still a super easy fight with parry fishing.
By and large, people are complaining that the combat is shallow, sloppy, and boring, not that it is difficult. And compared to games like Bayonetta, DMC, Dragon's Dogma, D.Souls/BB, or even Batman Arkham City, the combat in W3 does fall far short. It's a lot better than AssCreed or Elder Scrolls, but that's faint praise.
may have to try and change the time of day? Also I remember you have to go up to his front door and there will be an action button to knock on his door to start a cut-scene
still fucking around in white orchard just doing question marks, there is one near the ransacked village that is like on top of a hill with some archers, how do you get up there?
I was stuck here for a little while too. If you follow the path towards the water (village on your left) and go clockwise around the barrier of the landmass, there should be large shelves of rock you can climb up like giant steps.
First quest i didn't like. It's a novigrad quest about
murders.
FULL SPOILERS
So, murderer seems to be a religious fanatic. Nathaniel is a sadistic religious fanatic. Too obvious so i'm sure it's not him. Old coroner seems to be a nice guy but he has a dark past.
Young coroner is also nice. Maybe too nice all of a sudden. And he doesn't seem to age. Mmmm... maybe he is a vampire? Later i find Nathaniel torturing a woman. So he is the muderer after all! But no, he isn't. It's the young coroner who is in fact, a vampire. And his motivations seemed so weak. Maybe i was too busy rolling my eyes and didn't pay enough attention.
I mean, the quest itself is not bad. The objectives, the whole CSI novigrad are nice.
It's the conclusion i don't like.

I finished the quests related to the Bloody Baron yesterday.
Holy shit. In my head Geralt and the Baron were bros, and I dug that. And he fucking hung himself. I had to save those kids, though. What a terrific part of the game.

Just wait until you arrive at the end of the fights in Skellige. Also I don't know how you can even beat the later in 10 seconds. I already had a bit of trouble with Durden in Novigrad, but believe me, the last encounters in Skellige are something else.
But then again, I ran through all the fistfighting on level 16, I may have lacked damage which made the fights last longer. But that still changes nothing about Skellige. Just try it
You obviously didn't though since she died immediately after turning back, since you went that route. I did the same as you. Had to save the kids, and wtf did I care about that town? Plus I didn't know the tree would kill them.

Every open world RPG without level scaling basically has an inverse difficulty curve unless you force yourself to play content underleveled. I handle it by doing everything based on how fun it sounds rather than level requirements, so things are still tough here and there.
Got this game and man is it fun! Getting the feel for how the game works and love the question marks system. I'm addicted to it now! So much fun to do and just fun to go around killing stuff.

The skill to block arrows (and deflect them back at the shooter like a Jedi) is essential vs archers. It's the first thing I purchase. And I upgrade it all the way lol.
Any other PS4 players having issues connecting to the internet since this morning? Was working fine last night, and all my other devices are working just fine over wi-fi.
Is innkeeper bugged in Arinbjorn, on Skellige Isles on main island? Rarely is in his inn and when he is I can't talk to him, but I can flick candle on and off as much as I want <.<

You can remove them at an armorer/weaponsmith. If you remove them, the glyphs/runes are gone. If you dismantle them, the item is gone but the glyphs/runes are returned.

can someone quickly explain alchemy? when I craft something it says I already own it after, so do you only craft it once until you use it or something?
The quests between the tail end of Act 2 and early Act 3 are a bit too much back-to-back for my taste. Enjoyable, but by the end I was eager for the game to relax a bit (which it does) and get back to the open worlds.

Everything under alchemy needs only be crafted once. Look at alchemy like gear: bombs, potions, and oils. Once you have a recipe and craft them they're yours forever, though have limited uses, and every time you meditate you'll use one bottle of alcohol to refill all that have been spent. You can then acquire additional recipes to craft upgrades to already crafted alchemy. So Swallow -> Enhanced Swallow. But yeah, craft once, yours forever, refill by meditating.

Try putting an ability point into the skill that lets you deflect arrows while parrying and then put some points into improving Axii. Both come in really handy for bandit fights. Also don't forget you can knock bandits off of their horses with Aard.
Yeah, I wish the world map had better icons for merchants. I hate trying to remember who I can go to in order to sell/craft specific things since their world map icons are basically all the same until you're close.
