The Witcher Season 2 cast has been announced

Hmmm.... I would have had Aisha played as Francesca, she looks more Elven-like

Watched the first season and was bored to tears. Henry Cavill was the only saving grace. The Witcher 3 was more developed, with more intriguing storylines, more compelling environments, more interesting characters, had a better written main quest, and was directed with more flair and nuance than anything the first season had to offer. It simply showed that video games trump TV any day of the week.

I'm playing Witcher 3 for first time right now and at about 12 hours into it I gotta be honest, I'm pretty underwhelmed. From what I've seen so far Id rate the game a 7.

this is about the TV show not the game. what is the point in your post?

it's ok not to like things, you know. if you don't like it then don't come in trying to cause shit.

Season 1 wasn't the best, but it had it's moments of greatness. Casting of the principals was for the most part very good. With a Cavill a solid Geralt and Joey Batey a perfect Jaskier. The real standout though was Anya Chalorta as Yennefer.

Season 2 cast looks good, though I'm still not a fan of the diversity casting in a Slavic fantasy. But the half-Indian Anya won me over with her performance as Yen, so hopefully these diversity hires prove themselves.

Netflix better not mess up the episode featuring Nivellen. That was my favorite in the Witcher short stories.

I must admit that Kim Bodnia as Vesemir is a very good casting choice. I think he will do the part justice, provided the script writers doesn't fuck it up. Makes season 2 much more appealing in my eyes.

Looking forward to it. Don't really care about the diversity angle and get a little bored with those who constantly bring it up. Only 8 episodes though..could really do with 10.

I loved to first season, but I also love Witcher-game series. My woman also loved the first season and shes no gamer (well candy crush). Both of us are looking forward season two. Cavill was brilliant as Geralt, Yennefer was great too but Triss was awful.
Was nice to see that us both liked this serie, and it didn't hinder my better half when I sometimes try to tell some facts about different characters. Season 1 was good show for first timers and both of us are looking forward season 2.

Her acting was good. But I really wished they'd chosen some one more similar to the game.

I think the side by sides actually show just how similar she looks.
The overall facial structure is exactly the same. The biggest difference being the nose shape and the hooded eyes they created for the game Yen.
Chin, lips cheekbones and eyebrow shape are a spot on match.

Honestly never saw the last episode because the series was complete and utter trash at the end.

Maybe season 2 will help. But they gotta reboot it entirely, gerald is the only one that is decent in the series and maybe jennifer.
