Yeah Pink is mad disappointing after Bayonetta and Jeanne. PG put Nami into the game
but I guess everyone who isn't Red and Blue is supposed to be a caricature of some sort. (While red is by the book hero and blue is his "cool guy" foil)
Nothing wrong with that though. Obviously the focus wasn't on developing complex original characters
Agreed at wonder blue and green being extremely fun. They pretty much are the main attraction in the story imho. The perfect manzai couple.. Red is funny sometimes (especially when vorkken is involved). Pink can be fun but is sometimes annoying (vo-sama).
Is anyone else letting the timer run out for the unite morph draw QTE sequences? Almost every scenario has a unique and funny fail or death sequence afterwards.
Shit just got real for me. Sometimes I'm seriously considering falling back to easy mode. Only my gamer pride is preventing that. Getting consolidation prizes is one thing, getting maximum recordable damage is another. >_< Hopefully it was just that one operation. The next one went a little better.

After an operation part you get a rundown of the mission, earned prizes, taken damage, continues, rescued civilians etc. Well my damage meter was -99999 on that Operation 6 mission, the maximum. Knowing what to do is no problem. I just can't react fast enough to the attack cues. Always some ms too late to dodge or block. Well I hope it will get better in my inevitable replay. The game is just too good.
Red/Blue/Green/Pink are the primary heroes, Yellow/White/Black support cast. I like them all because with the exception of Red they're all really quite terrible people.

From what little I've seen, it's Blue > Red > Green > other guys > boring honorable Japanese stereotype man >>> Pink
Pink is loud, obnoxious, shrill, and shallow. Just all the worst Japanese heroine traits rolled into one little insufferable ball of terrible.
"VORKEN! OH VORRRRRKIIIIIIE"
"I AM WONDER-PINK, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME PIIIIIIIIINK!"
Shut.
the fuck.
up.

slowly but surely Saur's lessons are starting to grace my gameplay.
Ever since EatChildren made me realize I could pause my drawings for a short time when using the right stick, I've completly abandonned the touch screen except to regularly switch to a new hero to pump up my stats.
as for Saur...
well, first dash + unite is the best thing ever since women.
I also use a lot more often the climbing on big ennemies mechanic whereas I used to rely on heavy attacks.
Still got some work to do in the gameplay department, but it's coming together more rapidly than whith Bayo.
still getting the Prima guide. otherwise I will probably never ever get the secret charas.
this is my only game until 3DWorld shows up...
Yeah, that's a good idea. I must learn them better. Sometimes it's visual only, e.g. Vorkken's Tombstone, but I can handle it well now. (But too late now, hehe)
I finally started yesterday. I was only planning to do a mission or two and I ended up doing four. The game does a great job at making you feel like there's pressure to press on as fast as you can, even though you can totally take your time if you'd like. I alternated a bit between using the right stick and drawing on the pad. The gamepad seems more accurate and faster thus far, but I can imagine that mastering the stick reaps bigger benefits in the long run. The systems seem to allow for really fast and versatile play. I've seen people link Saur's vids a couple of time now and I was wondering if they are worth checking out on my first playthrough, or if I should wait?
I've only had one small issue thus far, but I'm willing to admit this was my own doing. In one of the first chapters when your third Coloured character showed up , the game wanted me to
pick up a giant bomb and shoot it back at a giant canon. The prompt told me what to do, I could not seem to wrap my head around how to actually do this. Turned out the issue was that I kept putting the gun away after using it.
I was also a little worried I was going to miss a big part of the presentation's experience, since I'm not very familiar with the style of these type of TV-shows and movies. Thus far I can recognise that there's a lot of tropes and parodying going on, but it's very easy to digest and pretty entertaining. It's all over the top and corny, but in a delightful way.
In short, I've been having a blast and can't wait to jump back in tonight.

one benefit with the stick is that you can control how many people should be in a shape much better. so if you want to draw a longass sword with all your 100 guys in it you better use the stick.
I wish he was featured in more dialogue, I just loved every second he had screen time. Also, ugh, I have three more heart pieces to pick up which would unlock two secret characters for me. Alas, I have no idea where the fuck they could be.

You know what kinda bugs me out - for a game, that has YOU in the title (hence 101) this game never breaks the 4th wall. Something like in Baten Kaitos would have been nice.
well i am not done yet with the story so we'll see.
