More worrying is that it might/will be 14 C later for the skiing part though, not it gets colder as this temp will make the snow horrible the rest of the Olympics

Watching the Nordic Combined now, have never been able to get into it. seems like a group of OK ski jumpers and skiers who got their own sport so that they can compete.

Now if they added shooting, and the moguls, it could be a winter version on the modern pentathlon. that id like

I don't know a lot about halfpipes or snowboarding in general. But from the commentators are saying, it sound like the pipe is complete shit due to the weather. Won't that also affect the runs ( speed especially ) a lot ?

You not only need a visa, but also a special spectator pass to be able to buy tickets. They have used refused to issue specator passes to people who have been critical of the games.

Aside from the speed skating(which is a personal favorite of mine), the first few days have been pretty boring for me. It gets better later on with bobsledding and Hockey starts today. I've noticed the winter Olympics aren't really my cup of tea barring a few sports.
