Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call |OT| Once more, with feeling!

I should start using Scare in Medley Quests because I couldn't defeat Yiazmat with my most powerful characters because the summon was placed in the worst place possible and the second monster was a damage sponge. /rant

I didn't use that skill because the boss was the second monster in the first quests but that doesn't happen anymore so I'm free to use it.

how come the monster that gets hit by my summon's attack disappears but doesn't contribute to my kill count?

I guess the attack wasn't strong enough to kill and the monster goes bye bye regardless?

so I got this game the other day but haven't played it yet because too many other games but

there's online multiplayer???

Well shit, guess I'm gonna need to get started on this soon. The world needs more online MP rhythm games.

It does. It's just not guaranteed to drop treasure. Is that what you were using to measure kill count?

Basic: "This is pretty boring."
Expert: "This feels about right."
Ultimate: "I think I'm going to break something."

Judgement is such bullshit.

Judgement is *so* good that it seems to me like whoever gets it/more of it just automatically loses.

The one where the arrows spin around is pretty cruel, too.

Ugh that feeling this morning when I was playing my Large Quest Medley Level 61, and fail at Day 15 to some really hard Ultimate FMS that came out of nowhere when every other stage has been Expert is horrible. Got sent back like 7 days or so, and don't even remember what song it was so I'm probably gonna end up spending all the time getting back there just to fail it again to learn the song name so I can practice it. Ultimate just seems way to hard for me, and I'm not all that great with the stylus controls.

I recently got a PS4, Destiny, and Infamous: Second Son, along with a wireless Gold headset. Currently, the PS4 's main use is to charge the Gold headset that I use for Curtain Call.

I don't regret a thing.

lol, Yep my thoughts exactly. I literally fall into a doze in Basic mode, then Expert feels great. Ultimate, I go in to small stages of a heart attack while playing.

Too many FFIX songs, not enough FFXIV songs.

Hopefully they add the three beautiful city themes from FFXIV (Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, & Ul'dah) via DLC but none of the Japanese packs had it so I'm not holding my breath.

Sure we copped Serenity, On Westerly Winds, and To the Sun (all three tracks played in the field outside of the respective cities) in the FFXIV songlist but c'mon you got to complete the experience.

I really hope we get the Praetorium music as DLC! It's just so epic and has go many great little moments to the song.

The love for XIV's music in this thread, even from those who never played the game, makes me warm and fuzzy.

Sadly, only Good King Moggle Mog XII is planned as DLC.

I'd love to see the music for Ramuh in there. Beautiful and kinda haunting. Very odd for a Primal fight, too.

Edit: I initially called Ramuh my fave Primal music, but then Leviathan exists, so it can't be.

How the hell is it cheating? It's not.

On the topic of DLC, thanks for the list Robin64. I will buy the X-2 tracks, and maybe the IX tracks. Can't get them all, because fuck that's a lot of money.

Where is all of this DLC? I can't find it in the buy DLC menu.

Nearly all the songs I like from that DLC list are FMS. D:

It's a shame they didn't come up with a versus mode for field songs.

IIRC, Buying all the DLC in the first game was 52*0.9=£46.80.

I take it characters cost the same as songs. Shame there are filler characters (I totally needed more second versions...).

Still I really have to wonder how well Final Fantasy II - Chocobo Theme (FMS) plays given it is like a 10 second loop for 2 minutes.

I think I chose a hard song to be my first expert song in this game... Fallen Angel (Garuda's theme from FFXIV). Did badly on it :/. Also fuck diagonals arrows. I don't remember this many diagonal arrows in the old game.

But they come so quickly and mess me up, :(

I thought button controls were the answer... until I ran into a chain note the swoops downward at it's end and yet has a diagonal arrow pointing up to finish it off.
Ughhh

You'll always know, deep in your heart, that you cheated to earn those cards. Your save file will be forever tainted. Eventually you'll turn to drink, desperate to forget, but it doesn't work, it never works.

Considering I've had a terrible hangover today, this actually sounds like the worst thing ever.
Plus I really can't be bothered to enter in that many passwords anyway :p

Should mention that the DLC version of Auron is just him with his glasses off.

Unless he has different stats & abilities, but no idea on that.

I got my first perfect chain on an ultimate song! The Price of Freedom. At first, I couldn't even clear a single BMS song on Ultimate, but it turns out some songs have easier ultimate modes than others (eg price of freedom, antipyretic, let the battles begin). And practice helps too, who'd have thought?

Yeah, there's a few differences in stats/abilities.

Just got Force Your Way Ultimate in a Medley Quest and I was lucky to have two characters with Regen and Prishe with Paeon so I survived the song. Now I feel invincible.

The first game had an annoying amount of songs I wanted only available as DLC. But this one has hardly any, so...that's good for saving money I guess.

I will say I'm surprised that I haven't seen Devil's Lab from FF6 yet, if it's even in the game. So it's not like they're completely out of stuff to add.

Although if we do see a third game it'd damn well better include the Mana and Chrono games at least.
