Why are we not discussing the fact that there's still more to come regarding the PlayStation 5?

We have not seen any of the other secret first-party games being worked on by Sony's Worldwide Studios.

We have been given a glimpse of what's to come for the PlayStation 5 and it seems Sony is holding its biggest ace cards for the Ultimate Reveal Event this July/August.

We will get to see the full set of features such as Backwards Compatibility, Cory Barlog's upcoming project, DualSense Back Buttons, Wireless Charging, Bend Studio's project, etc.

PLEASE REMAIN EXCITED AS GREATNESS AWAITS!

If PS5 really ends up having BC, then that would increase my chances to buying it up to 100%(thanks to Demon Souls as well for increasing my interest).

I was actually thinking about this. There's so much left to be told, both from MS and Sony. The rest of the year is going to be bananas.

Edit: Just to add that pre-shows Gaf is amazing, but post-show is just not very fun, too much negativity and shattered expectations going around. It's like the end of the world for some.

For me right now, Demon's Souls is the only reason to get a PS5.

Backwards compatibility I'd love to hear more from. If theres a PS5 VR, inject it into my veins. Also, the point.

Because last time microsoft hyped something up it fell on its face. They can never hype. Only buy.

Meh if they had more to show they would of shown it now IMO.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. I think they should of made it 15 minutes long and only included the biggest games tbh.
 
It's a crazy time for Sony and Microsoft and I commend them both for putting out something for us gamers that generated hype and revealed what they could with the limitations.

LOTS still to come, price, release date, so many first party games for both consoles. Hope you all didn't blow your entire load today because there are still reasons to be hyped!

I'm psyched for the next gen and will be there day one, but thinking there's going to be an incredible launch lineup, given the reality of the situations, for either of these systems may be unreasonable to expect.

I don't think BC is a good business model, and they know that. I think people are willing to buy (again) prior titles that ran at shitty frame rates on the PS4 - with some cosmetics changes and 60FPS "TRUE 4K" on the PS5.
Of course they can't be priced like a new game would - but $$$ nonetheless.

Edit: TRUE 4K meaning none of the AI upscaled shit.

Well Yes. People forget it wasn't long ago Sony was having an E3, a Gamescom, + a PSX, all within a year and announcing exclusives left and right on them. They probably have two titles close to their chest in case MS does a good showing in July.

Even though I know you're probably joking, and anyone saying it seriously would probably getting mocked if they were serious...I guess I am that person, because I'm used to being mocked. Western games often do very little for me. There are some top notch indies too, but they show up every where, on every platform. If you're trying to make me excited, showing those two things don't do it.

Even the Japanese games that were shown are clearly going for a western market, but I am sorely missing the Japanese quirk, which is what would get me excited in any big reveal like this. Someone said in another thread, but you know how Sony got me to buy a PS3 regardless of anything else? When MGS4 was announced for the platform.

God, I hope so.

It was already successful for me with Demon Souls, Hitman 3, Resident Evil 8, and Spider-man, but no Silent Hill :/

On the other hand, the dude who leaked Silent Hill also leaked Resident Evil 8. He got a ton of details right with RE8 too. The village/castle setting, the werewolves, the witches, and Chris Redfield murdering Ethans wife where all super specific leaks. He's not lying about Silent Hill. It's on the way.
