Just downloaded the xbox 360 holiday 2011 theme. I enabled it by viewing my list of downloads, but can't seem to figure out otherwise how to change themes with the new metro ui.

Where is the option now?

edit: found it, select your avatar under the "social" tab and can change the theme there. I'll leave this here in case it helps anyone else.
 
Why does my Xbox clock always restart to 13 pm 11/22 2005?Usually I don't care, but it's messing up with my Deus Ex saves, how do I solve this?
 
Anyone know of a good Skyrim hints/tips resource that doesn't spoil stories/missions?

Funny you bring this up. I was just looking to change my background last night and I couldn't find the option anywhere. So this is indeed a help.

Just out of curiosity - do you unplug your xbox instead of turn it off?

Where's a good place to find weekly PSP PSN sales? I realize the blog exists but PSP sales are at the bottom of the post all mixed in with PS3 titles and it's difficult to figure out what's PSP titles and what's PS3 titles.

I assume you're talking about HD Remix, since Akuma intentionally doesn't have a super in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The command is Light Punch, Light Punch, forward (the direction), Light Kick, Hard Punch. The timing isn't super strict, but you do have to input the command fairly quickly.

sort of a stupid question but i've been gaming on my 1080p monitor with my 360 and it seems kind of... i dunno, like griddy/grainy especially on blacks. i don't seem to notice it on my ps3, though. is it normal?
 
Why does changing the direction of the camera always change the direction your character is moving in? Can game peeps not walk in a straight like while turning their heads? I know I can! Its just weird!
 
I have some games made for Windows 95/98 that I want to play in Windows 7 (64-bit). But I can't even get the install.exe to run. I've tried right click > Properties > Compatibility and setting it to run in 95/98 mode, but no dice. All I get is the message "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running"
 
This might be a dumb question but my girlfriend has her US DSI (is on vacation in Europe) with her without her charger. However I have a 3DS charger which I know works with the DSI, but can you use a European 3DS/DSI charger to charge US DSI?
I don't know if the battery is indifferent to what outlet it is being charged from.
 
I got Skyrim(PS3) for Christmas. Given what I've read about patching problems and lag issues, should I keep it or return it?
 
Got a second 3DS (Zelda Edition) for Christmas as a gift, I'd just like to know does everything transfer or are there any minor issues? (I've an ambassador 3DS btw)

The main reason I'm asking is at the last moment I remembered, "Oh yeah, free Four Swords."

Generally speaking, with any type of AC adapter, you have to check what's printed on it. For example, a US 3DS charger says this.

INPUT: AC 120V 60Hz
OUTPUT: DC 4.6V 900mA

And a European 3DS charger says this.

INPUT: AC 230V 50Hz
OUTPUT: DC 4.6V 900mA

Which means the charger has to be plugged into a wall socket of the correct region. But the charger can be plugged into a 3DS/DSi system of any region.

Other chargers may be universal, so you can plug them into a wall socket in any region, you just need one of those travel adapters to get the right shape. For example, my laptop charger says this.

INPUT: 100-240V (AC) 1.5A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: 19V (DC) 3.42A

Excitebike 3D Classics was free but may no longer be so. Worth a check in any case.

Then of course you can register a couple of relevant games before the end of Jan IIRC to get a free download of Kid Icarus 3D Classics and enter a draw for a free Mario/Peach/Toad themed 3DS:

I have given that link as I am in Yurop but of course your territory mileage may vary.

Other than that, have a play around with the inbuilt software, some of which can be good fun. I especially enjoy the Find Me game and take my 3DS with me if I go out to try and get streetpass hits and coins from the inbuilt pedometer to help me with it. It's a basic RPG but I find it a lot of fun.

Also, have a mooch around the eShop where you will find other free apps, if they are not pre-installed now, such as Nintendo Video, Pokedex 3D and Eurosport. You may also find Virtual Console and DSi/3DSware titles you wish to download. Pullblox is very good.

I have another quick question. I want a FPS for the 360 that has 4-player offline splitscreen co-op (campaign mode or survival mode or the like). From what I gather, COD MW3 and GOW3 both have these modes. Or is it just 4-player versus each other? Can anyone confirm?
 
If I buy the 320GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 does it come with a transfer cable so I can take all my saves off of the currenty 250GB slim HDD? I'm upgrading and giving the 250GB to my cousin.
 
hi all this really is a stupid query but really quite frustrating

i just rented dragon age origins for ps3

something is really really bugging me, when i install it, the install gets stuck at 10% then a few minutes later jumps to 100% then just freezes and doesn't carry on to the game.

the disc is clean, and its not my ps3, works fine with everything else

just wondering has anybody experienced this and do they know wtf is up and what can be done.

noticed some talk on inet about it, but its all outdated and there didnt seem to be a solution that made sense

would love some help

Okay so my son just broke my disc tray off my 360. And rather than get it fixed I'm buying a new one. My brother said he will pay me a little and get it fixed for himself. Now we live in Australia and it's a US machine, but besides a step down converter can he just use an Australian 360 power supply? It won't blow the machine up will it?
 
A friend downloaded the Megadeath Track Pack for Guitar Hero 5 but it don't show up after downloaded and installed

He got from the psn, since the music store was not working ...

Anyone have ANY idea why he can't acess the music store or why the DLC didn't work ?
 
Is it only certain PSN/PS3 games that can be played while something is downloading off PSN or is it one or the other? I couldve sworn some PSN/PS3 games Ive played while downloading something, and other times the downloading just stops until Ive exited whatever game Im playing.

I think online games stop downloads and offline ones let them keep going.
 
So my Xbox Live account needs to be renewed in February and Amazon has 12 months of Gold for $40 right now. Do I pull the trigger and buy one or is there a decent chance of getting a better deal before then.

If I want RCA audio out and HDMI video out on my Xbox 360 Slim, can I just remove the plastic tab blocking me from plugging in both at the same time? Is there no internal software blockage forcing me to buy the stupid adapter? Google is providing me with exceptionally stupid answers.

EDIT: Never mind. I found a blog post that said that you can indeed do this.
 
I searched as well as I could and couldn't find the answer: is there a mod for KOTOR 1 that will tell you which containers have already been opened/emptied? Steam version if it makes a difference.
 
So my PS3 has been trying to delete Resistance 3 game data for about 25 mins... I'm a little worried, and pretty pissed. Is this going to be a problem?

What the hell happened to Insomniac man... they used to be one of my favorite devs. After this I'm not sure I'm even going to put their discs in my system.
 
I've searched a few times and couldn't find it, but I'm pretty sure there was a thread on GAF or some other gaming site that listed the strength of player-bases for specific multiplayer games. Anyone know where I could find that?

More specifically, does Altitude still have enough people playing to warrant a purchase?
