I did for a while, then I guess I got bored and moved on to other things. It was pretty good though.Rollo Larson said:did anyone here actually like this game?

i had a lot of fun with it myself. never see it mentioned here at all
Trent Strong said:Yeah, maybe I should give it a proper burial. Or possibly a Viking funeral. I guess I won't get any real money out of it. I wonder if there are any launch 360s left? Maybe about 5 years is the outer limit how long they can last. Oh well, feels bad man.
Ajemsuhgao said:You could open it up and repair it. It's not hard at all if it's just the 3 red rings.
Trent Strong said:I actually watched part of a youtube video on how to repair it, and it seemed too complicated for me. And this just had to happen right before that pac-man game came out.
Ajemsuhgao said:If you were in the US, I would totally pay you to ship that to me if you're really just going to trash it >_> :lol

I think it's worth it, the 3d sonics are a bit crappy and sonic adventure is missing some visuals from being ported from cube to pc, but they are all still playable and entertaining, sonic riders isn't too bad but I bought that cheap on ps2 a long time ago, can't say for the pc port.$200 said:Thanks. I doubt the mega collection plus alone will be anywhere cheaper than that. Will probably pick it up tomorrow after work.
Did you think maybe we don't all like Call of Duty?gundamzeta209 said:I have question....
I'm not trying to troll or piss anyone off. I generally wonder about this.
Why does everyone (well most) on Gaf have this Elitist "high-art", hipster prick attitude about video games? I lurk here a lot, probably like most members, and sometimes it really makes me wonder about what's going on in your heads?
Dude-bro games? Low-brow gaming? C'mon seriously? that or it's or the usual "dude I hate casuals!", which is typically hidden in some implicit remark.
I'm sorry to break to you guys, but i don't think video games are that serious if a medium or artform for there to be Low brow or high brow games. Games are either fun to play or they aren't fun play, that's the sole criterion by which games are judged.
There's nothing thought provoking or emotional about tetris, street fighter 2, or Strikers 1999. Farmville and call of duty appeal to the masses because they are fun and easy to play, and that is about it.
Because we're all hipster pricksgundamzeta209 said:I have question....

If you think it's enough to be purely entertained by a very refined and expensive toy, great, that's not everyone.
Well I disagree, on all of it actually. There are burgers that are considered luxury food, a Kobe Beef burger for example, I had one that cost as much as my iPhone.gundamzeta209 said:Apparently, that is everyone save for those with some eccentric gaming tastes.
Look, there are different types of hamburgers. There are sirloin, turkey, portabella, chuck, ostrich, fried, grilled, BBQ'd or steamed. At the end of the day, now matter how expensive it is, a hamburger is a hamburger. It will never be considered fine-dinning or a luxury food. I think the same could be said of videogames.
Is there a videogame equivalent to french cuisine? or Classical/Jazz or Broadway? I don't think so, and there won't be.

gundamzeta209 said:The culinary elitists in North Beach San Fran or Uptown aren't going brag about their sophisticated palettes by discussing hamburgers.
That's counter to what you suggested (if I understood you right), something being considered culturally enriching is not the same as being some elitist discussion point. And there are gaming elitists. If you don't find their opinions worthy, that's fine, I can't say I think discussing fine food is all that worthy of people's time.gundamzeta209 said:The culinary elitists in North Beach San Fran or Uptown aren't going brag about their sophisticated palettes by discussing hamburgers.
It's a shame you can't appreciate video games as anything beyond mindless entertainment.gundamzeta209 said:I have question....

I'm not sure if this is true in the PC version, but in the console version of Mega Collection, you had to unlock the right to play Sonic 3 with Sonic & Knuckles locked on by starting and quitting certain games a certain number of times. It's stupid, but I suggest you do that before you start Sonic 3, whenever you get around to it.$200 said:Bought the game - holy shit 6 CD/DVDs in one box. I don't mind if half of the games are bad this is awesome.
Replaying the GG Sonic right now; just passed the second zone. It's even better than I remembered and is surprisingly hard with lots of pits and one hit KO bosses.
You can use your old cables. Microsoft have used the same connector on new boxes.Trent Strong said:I had to buy one of those new 'slim' 360s and, unless I'm going crazy, it doesn't come with HD component cables (fuck off Microsoft). My question is: can I use the old HD component cables from my old broken launch 360? Will those old cables screw up the new 360 somehow? I don't want to break this new one.
