Yakuza 1 was 50Hz with borders I think. Not sure about 2 as I just got the US version.

zoner said:So I just bought a PSP Go and PS3. My PS3 can connect to the Wi-Fi no problem, but not my PSP Go. When I had a 3000 it could connect just fine, but we did change routers and I haven't had a 3000 since then.
I wanted to connect and buy God Eater Burst. Is there any way I can do that through the PS3? I know I can download it and then transfer the game over to the PSP, but I want to be able to get updates and whatnot as well.

(Not just crashed to desktop, but actually powered down as if the plug had been pulled.)
I have a year-old Dell Studio XPS Intel Core i7 desktop with an older ATI Radeon HD 4850 video card, and I'm playing the game with the Stalker Complete 2009 mod.
Any ideas what could be causing the problem? Could it be some kind of protective shutdown to avoid damage? If my 4850 card isn't up to the job, why is it I didn't have any problems during all the hours I've logged in the game over the past three weeks? Thanks.

It's just a short cut. You launch the game from Steam and get the overlay, that's it. edit: Oh and people see what you're playing, of course, but you can name the short cut anything, like Half-Life 2: Episode 3, someone will fall for it.archnemesis said:Edit: Apparently, you can link any game to your Steam account. Haven't tried it myself though.

abusori said:This is a problem I had initially with Metro 2033, appears to be common, though I don't know if anyone ever figured out what the problem actually was. It was suggested that it could be overheating, or perhaps a power supply unable to cope with the graphics card, or maybe just that the video card/processor is overclocked too much for the specific game. In my case the last suggestion seemed to be true, as I turned down my overclock settings for my graphics card (an HD Radeon 5870, for reference), and the problem went away.
So I suggest trying that, but if you don't have anything overclocked, then maybe you should make sure your power supply is outputting enough power. Otherwise it *could* be overheating, so monitor the temperature and see if it goes too high when your computer crashes.
akira28 said:If you're running XP I know there's a setting in the system advanced settings where you can tell it NOT to reboot in the event of a total system crash, but instead to give you the BSOD. Some crashes are so spectacular they just reboot the system. It won't prevent the crash, but it will probably tell you what dll or gfx driver file has failed.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just a casual PC gamer and I've never overclocked or even checked the video card temperature before, but I went into Catalyst Control Center of my Radeon 4850 as I was playing STALKER again this evening, and I saw I was getting temperatures of 109 and 110 after only playing about 10 minutes. Isn't that way too high? It didn't crash on me tonight though, and the case of my PC never got warm. Once I got out of the game, the temperature dropped to 84-85.
Anyway, am I pushing this 4850 to its limits? Would upgrading my video card help here?

Obviously I don't think the "3DS NEWS" part is from official art. It is from TinyCartridge. Also, is there a higher rez picture of this?

abusori said:Well, that depends whether the temperature you gave is Celsius or Fahrenheit. If it's Celsius you may well have a problem. But I can assure you that even if a graphics card isn't really good enough to play a game, the frame rate in the game may suck, but it should never crash your whole computer. That said, you should have no problems running STALKER with that card anyway, I believe.
Anyway, if you think the problem could be overheating, just try this first (bear with me, this is from memory so it might not be perfect): in Catalyst Control Center (make sure it's in advanced mode), go to the overdrive tab on the side (this is where you can overclock) and check the box that says "manual fan control," then turn the fan up, see if that solves the problem.

AbsoluteZero said:I kinda missed out on the 360 launch. I saw Perfect Dark Zero today at Sears for $15. Worth a playthrough?
Lucky Forward said:Sorry, it is Celsius, I just assumed that was the standard. I tried turning the fan up manually to 100%, but even so I still got up to 107 C in a few minutes playing STALKER. Anyway, the fan would already automatically spin up to 100%, so setting it there manually didn't make a difference.
So this card just seems to run hot, up to 110 C during the game and 84 C at idle. Any other suggestions?
edit: after googling a little, it looks like the first thing I should do is open the case and clean the dust off of the card. My house does get very dusty...I have a big dog. I'll try that...
edit2: I pulled the card out and there was a lot of dust on it. A whole lot of fine, talcum powder-like dust. I blew it all out and it's running much better now, low 80's C when I play the game, below 50 C when idling.
I'm not sure about a special coating, but the Super Smash Bros. Brawl disc is different from most other Wii game discs in that it's dual layered. So maybe.DonMigs85 said:Does the Smash Bros. A bunch of us played the closed beta, but I think only a few actually kept playing when it actually launched. At launch there was a severe lack of content and it's extremely grindy. If it wasn't designed around microtransactions it'd probably be quite fun. Both the battle system and the graphics compared very favorably to other MMORPGs at the time I played it.Professor Beef said:Has anyone tried the Shin Megami Tensei MMO? Recently I got into retro gaming, so I am buying and playing old PS one games on my PS2.
I was disappointed to find out that you cannot save PSone games on the PS2 memory card. my old PSone memory card is broken, I really don't want to buy one for 10-15 bucks. (If I don't have to).
Is it possible in any way (through a "hack" maybe?) to save PSone games on a PS2 memory card??
I cannot see how this could be at all possible unless somehow the use of the USB ports on the PS2 and a USB flashdrive is used someway to trick the PS2 in thinking that it's a (PSone) memory card?!?
Can someone please help, google search seems useless in this case.
storl026 said:Sidenote: In the PS2 browser, you can move a PSOne save from a PSOne memory card onto a PS2 memory card just for storage, but it cannot be accessed to load or save, only to store it. To become usable again, you need to move it back onto the PSOne memory card.
