My question:
MY SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE ALL GONE. WHY.

Sorry if I missed it, since I'm sure it came up already, but does anyone know what's up with the mod switch? Did anything happen? Just curious.

I read a while ago about this happening to some other poster, but they all eventually came back later...so I don't really know. Hopefully they just reappear.

After I print something off a website, everything is so damn small.

What gives?

Check your printer settings and make sure it's not resizing it? Sounds simple, but that's where I would start.

Edit: Printer settings as in, Page Setup, and that kind of stuff. Oh, also do Print Preview, to see what the computer thinks it will look like. That may reveal where the problem is actually happening.

1. I know there have been some interesting bans recently, including my own. So maybe they have an itchy trigger finger, or aren't used to being in a position of authority.

2. Should I not re-subscribe to anything, hoping that they do?

Oh okay, thanks. And really, I don't know :( I wish I could help more, but I really just remember reading some similar experience way back when. Maybe PM a mod?

If you can hold off, I would wait and not re-subscribe, just in case.

The head honcho of all this was complaining to Evilore that all Rock Band news should go into the megathread. Evilore diasgreed because clearly people would miss news this way, this agitated the head honcho. So for this person's suicide he created about 8 new threads on every tiny piece of Rock Band news.
Goddamn, seriously? What an utterly moronic thing to get banned over. Megathreads are irritating anyway.

Same thing happened to me when I got banned a while back. They never returned, either.

So a co-worked got axed last week. Said co-worker is the only person that has the log-in information for a work Facebook account related to our company. Outside of contacting the ex-employee, is there anyway to retrieve the information?

Is membership status automated?
I'd like to know this as well.

I became a member within the time requirement, but I definitely didn't meet the post count requirement.

There was one guy that was in the same junior batch that I was (Willy-something) and he became a Member in less than a week.

i was a memeber for well over the time requirement before my account was approved for junior-status posting rights. when i posted my 300th i became a member automatically.

I imagine you already tried this, but did you try "forgot my password?", or did he use a personally email?

Nice, at least he went out in style then :lol You see, this is why I'm quite happy to be a mid-level poster. These guys are like Ikarus, they flew too close to the sun and so a mod came and melted their wings off with a lazer :lol

I just hope they come back in time for Scott Pilgrim, that's like half of the fans gone in one fell swoop.
They were perma banned.

Do web sites make more advertising dollars if they get more 'clicks' from visitors on their site? I'm seeing more and more sites where I click a link to go to an article, but then they only give half the article and then have another link that says 'Continue Reading' or 'Show more text'. I've also seen multi-page articles where when you get to the final page it just has the writer's credit, e.g. "Joe Blow is a freelance writer living in Kalamazoo with his two cats." Do they make more money from those extra mouse clicks?

The more pages viewed and the longer visitors are on the site, the more they can charge for advertising.

They can display new ads every time you click to a new page.

I hate that shit.

Supposedly they get wiped if you get banned.

Why was the original Futurama series hilarious .. the movies were horrible .. and the new series is hilarious again? What or who was the missing element with the movies?

Sometimes on GAF there are banners that stream to the middle of the page while you're reading something and even though you hit the X button, the ad registers it as a click and redirects you.

There are none this week, but there were quite a few the past few weeks.

And no, I don't have malware/spyware unless you're saying there is malware for linux.

To say there couldn't possibly be ANY malware for any Linux distro is very naive of you.

I think the problem was turning it into a 2 hour long movie. It was hard to sustain the hilarity, I guess.

Why does sugar or sugary foods make your teeth hurt if you have a cavity ?
Same reason why sugary food is sticky I presume. Would like to know this as well.

For that matter, I also don't know why ear hair growth accellerates as men age and testosterone levels drop. It seems counterintuitive.
I think the idea is that as you get older, it becomes more important to have a thick ear hair buffer so you have an excuse for why you didn't hear what your wife was asking you to do.

Why can i no longer access images on my computer after putting them on my iPod Touch?

Why do so many "reality" shows showcase people vomiting? I mean come the fuck on, it's so damn disgusting but so many shows have HD vomit flying everywhere. I was watching departures (canadian show) and they had maybe 5 minutes of drunk people vomiting and laughing...

So I ask, why is this prevalent in today's television? Do people really find this funny or entertaining?

Could someone explain to me how Juggalo's came to be?

I'd rather discuss the perfection of your avatar. It's beautiful.

edit: ugh. Auto-rotating? I hate that shit. I was talking about the black and white one with the blond looking to her right with a beach scene in the bg.
