How do I block someone on facebook? I don't want to delete the person, I just don't want to see her posts all over my front page and stop her from commenting on my statuses. Private mails would be nice to still have open. I've heard something about clicking on their posts but what option do I go for? "Mark as junk"? I know how to do a regular account block but that seems excessive. Any other ways?

You can block their shit on your feed by going to one of their posts and clicking the X that shows up in the corner, and select "Hide all by NAME".

I dunno how you can block them from commenting on stuff without straight up blocking them.

Account > Privacy Settings > Customize Settings. Then Next to each of the things you don't want her to be able to do, click the drop-down menu and pick "customize". In the "Hide this from" section, add her name. Try "Permission to comment on your posts".

There is no such option for me. Just report bad content and mark as spam basically.

Does anyone know of a good process or program that will search out all my missing album artwork for the music on my Android device?
 
Everytime I read an article online or in the newspaper, I almost always see a variation of this:

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk publicly

If these officials aren't allowed to talk on the matter, then why on earth are they talking about it? Can't they get into some serious trouble? It just seems very irresponsible, being unauthorized to speak about something but doing it anyway. I figure there's a reason why they aren't authorized to speak, so them ignoring these instructions seems to be unthoughtful.

Having a discussion on Osama but here's a question. When a prison inmate gets the death penalty and is executed, does the inmates family have any rights to the body or does the state discard/bury it?

I looked into this a while back as a matter of curiosity, myself. It depends on the jurisdiction, certainly, but most places the inmate still has control of the disposition of his own remains. So if he or his family can still arrange whatever they want once the penitentiary releases the body. If there isn't any next of kin and the inmate isn't capable of providing for his own funerary costs the state is generally obliged to take care of it.

I know it gets trickier in the cases where an inmate dies in custody (by execution or otherwise) and the family does not wish to assume responsibility of the remains. In some places, the expense is shouldered by the state and in others, the nearest family (within reason) is compelled to take care of the cost.

Don't take this all as fact. I'm not a lawyer, I just read a lot.
 
Alright so I'm trying to print a document through Word 2010, except it prints out all wrong half of the words are missing, I tried printing something else and the same problem arised, so basically I either need a fix for this problem or an online word processor where I can upload the document and print it out.

I tried Google Docs but that messed up the formatting of the file and I couldn't fix it.

Any suggestions?

Print it to a PDF from word and then try printing it from acrobat?

The forum search function (the basis of the "view posts by this user" function) is disabled because it places too much load on the sever. The admins have mentioned bringing the feature back, since the servers were recently upgraded, but nothing is official yet. In other words, there is nothing you can do except cross your fingers and wait.
 
Alright, this may be better served in a different thread, but this is the only one I can think of that may help me out. And obviously my junior status prevents me from creating a thread specifically regarding this, so here goes:

I'm going on a trip to Atlanta tomorrow for a couple days. Does anyone have any recommendations for things I can do? I'm already seeing a concert and attending a Braves game, if that matters. And more importantly, anyone know about some awesome restaurants in town?
 
So, I clicked on a youtube link in some thread that has a kind of catchy song from "Mischievous Function". What exactly is Mischievous Function?

Googling doesn't help since it seems to link to a bunch of videos that have the same song.

while im inclined to agree with the two previosu posters, i'd definitly check what your college's policys are. some might not let you register if you already have the credit, for example
 
I have switched to a UK ISP that for £20 a month gives me ADSL2, a static IPv4 address, full IPv6 access and a block of IPv4 addresses so I can stop using NAT and give each of my boxes (server, media streamer etc) a "real" IP address.

I requested the legacy block via email, and support replied "No problem, I've assigned a /28 to your line." -

1) How many addresses are in a /28 block?
2) How do I know what the addresses are? Does that mean that they just increment up from my sole existing static address?

Adobe Flash Player 10 keeps becoming unresponsive when I try to go to Off-Topic in GAF. Only site it does that on and the only time it does it is when I select what forum I wanna view.

I've always wondered this one... If there's a commercial using a professional sports game to advertise their product, like a gatorade commercial where kevin durant throws down a dunk against the mavs and immediately walks to the bench and takes a swig of G2 or whatever the fuck they're selling, do they actually have people come in as the audience, do they edit the audience in, do they do some clever editing which makes the transition from actual game to commercial look seamless?

It's pretty clear that the angle where he steals the ball and the next shot where he jumps into the air are real game footage, but the next one where he jumps into the air with his teammate looks different.

Edit: Just read one of the comments for the video that helped me reach a conclusion. If you look carefully, Durant's shoes change color from white and blue, to white and orange, before and after the dunk lol! So I guess my second and third guesses were the right ones, part real footage, part fake footage where the audience is edited in.
 
So I recently created a Twitter account, and I've started following Conan and Adam Carolla. As soon as I did, some dickhole started following me, and I see that it is just an ad for his podcast that no one probably listens to.

Is there any way of making him stop following me instead of telling him outright? I don't want an ad following me.

Go to your list of followers. Next to the account name should be a few buttons. Click on the one on the right and several options should be available. "Block blablabla" prevents them from following you, and "Report blablabla for spam" would be the next level of making them buzz off for everyone.

HA! Hmm, bittersweet I guess. It was humiliating somewhat, the players literally didn't turn up, whether they consider this season a job done already I don't know, still, the way they performed was unacceptable.

I take a tiny bit of pride from the fact that Wolves still need to win their remaining games and have results go their way, since a part of me would like to see them relegated, if only to piss off one of my best friends haha.

On the other hand, I do like the idea of Wolves staying in the Premier League, the more Black Country Derbies the better imho. I take it you're a Wolves fan?

at my university, in terms of transfer credits, they always look at the grade you received the first time you took the course. In terms of fulfilling pre-reqs, they'll look at your most recent grade for that class. Not sure which grade they'll use on the official transcript if you don't transfer, but I do know that they'll put a mark beside your grade indicating that you've retaken it
 
So I am taking a game programming class and have to make animated sprites. What is the easiest software to do this?

I already have the sprite created now I just need to animate him. I was thinking photoshop but then one of my friends recommended fireworks. I am not sure which one would be easier. No matter what I am going to have to learn how to do it from scratch.
