The good shit gets better, the bad shit gets worse. Life seems to seesaw into greater extremes. While the good shit is at its best, you'll think 'this makes anything bad in life worth it', and while the worst shit is happening, you'll think 'life fucking sucks, this isn't worth it'.

I'd say my life's gotten better by leaps and bounds overall since 20, though.

lol I know it's Spiderman. But is it from a cartoon or the comics? I'm not that familiar with him in all honestly. I've just seen a lot of crazy pictures like that and was wondering where exactly they came from.

Thanks... I am doing a budget build using a free mobo and cpu. I was trying to keep the cost under $100 for case, video card and ram. I will spend an extra few bucks for 2gb.

edit: talking about system ram, not graphics ram.
 
Yeah, if it's a new build, it's not worth risking it. It may run, since it just has to run video, but I just loaded up a 1080p video, and it wanted just under 300MB RAM.

I need the name of a movie. It's an 80s or 90s teenage comedy ala American Pie with an insane twist ending where the girl leaves him. There was a thread on GAF about it but I can't remember the name.

Has there been a thread already created of awesome movie clips where Villains or Heroes just go in a take over a location or situation? Been looking to find such scenes in movies can anyone please direct me or create a thread?

Any airport would have a place to exchange currencies. But you'll likely get a much better rate at your bank.
 
does anyone have any idea of what kind of money farmers get for their land from subdivison developers? My area was all farmland just a couple years ago and the lots here sell for $500k+ and there's no house for sale less than $800k so the land is quite valuable. But I know the farmers didn't get anywhere close to how much the developers are making off the area.

Just curious to know what kind of profits these community developers make

The farmers probably got a pretty penny. They don't normally control the value of land and may have actually paid a premium to get those from the farmers.

With that said, the farmers were probably paid far less (Maybe half or less) because the land was likely undeveloped wheras the buyers had to put in the electricy and plumbing. In my town, there's never a reason to feel sorry for the farmer as he made more money off the land by seeling it than farming it. In all likelihood if they had hundred of acres, they are millionaires.

In fact, our city pays big bucks to stop them from selling (I'm in Lexington, KY which is known for horses, so the cuty didn't want to risk that by being known for cookie cutter housing).

Yeah in my area they needed to add all the plumbing and power. They had to build large ponds and stuff too. I don't feel sorry for the farmers because I know they got at least a million for what they had.

It must be pretty nice to be one of those farmers. There was even a small community of small homes very close by and now that all this luxury estate development has taken place, these small homes are now sitting on gold mines for just being in the area. All because a development company decided this would be a good area to build a community.

Personally, if I was one of the farmers, I'd have no problems selling the land. I'd sell it and then buy one of the estate homes that sits on my former land.

The former has a derogatory charge. The latter, dispassionately used, or used in a technical sense, doesn't, or doesn't have to.

Generic lightly implies the usefulness or connection of something to the way that a piece or tradition or mode of narrative or representation works, looks, or feels. Something is conventional of a genre; that does not necessarily make it bad or inadequate or irritating.

Cliché doesn't at all stress those things; it just asserts the tedium of something because it has been seen or used so often.

Generic has multiple uses and senses. Perhaps not on the internet, but in language at large. Cliché is [usefully] limited.
 
hey guys, i have a question.

my girlfriend recently moved into a new apartment and they're building is testing out their new fiber optic internet with 50 meg speeds. however, she and her roommates want wireless, but the speed drops to around 10megs download speed.

it's still fast, but i'm wondering if maybe the router is throttling the speed? or is there any way to increase wireless speeds without having to buy new equipment?

could be the router, could be the wireless chips in their laptops and of course remember that wireless won't be as fast as wired

Is there any way to get rid of the "empty" folders iTunes leaves behind when you remove an delete an album from iTunes? It just leaves the artist folder there, with like a 50kb file size with nothing in it. Anyway to get rid of all of these?
 
I have a first gen Roku XDS and I added the Whiskey media channel. All that is available is Giantbomb and Comic Vine. However, I recall seeing a video on their site where Tested, and Anime Vice were available. Do you have to be a paid member to get access to all them?
 
Some girl at work told me that her husband works as a pipe fitter. She told me they are in need of.people right now. She didn't get to tell me how i would get a job there though because ahe had to go.

If i was kooking into that, what training will i have to go through?
