What's the one Samurai movie where
the main character has to betray his clan or something and his wife or child wants to commit suicide so that there is enough food for the family?
It's not black and white and I think it's fairly well known.

How do Marvin Gaye's other albums compare to "What's Going On" and "Let's Get It on?" They're two of my favorite albums ever, and I'm actually a little afraid to delve into the rest of his catalog because I fear nothing else will measure up.
 
Has anybody have experience with casting calls for movies that needed extras? I notice there is one for the new Chronicles of Riddick movie over in the NJ/NYC area. I am unemployed for the moment and have always been thinking of working in the film industry. Any advice is welcome.

Magic DVD ripper I used to get my Skydive DVD. Seemed to work well.
 
I've asked this already (albeit in a much more frantic tone), but I figure I should ask differently: has anyone ever had a red sore under their tongue, and if so, what did it turn out to be? I reckon it isn't mouth cancer (I'm 22, and while I did smoke a lot over the summer due to stress, I don't think it happens that quickly) it still has me worried. I'm fairly certain it went away at some point last week, but then returned after a weekend of smoking and drinking.

I'll go to the doctor/dentist sometime next week if it doesn't clear up.

EDIT: Thanks to those who answered my question about Teflon pan damage.

EDIT 2: Okay, I'm freaked out that it's mouth cancer again.

i forget why, something about megathreads causing too much strain on the server or resultin gin weird errors or something, so the limit was capped at 20k. its a ballpark cap, no ones going to ban you if you're post 20001 or anything, but the thread will most likely be locked.
 
So, I'm using windows 7 live movie maker to do some editing. But when I try to combine two video clips, there's a second of delaying present. Is there any way I can remove that so that it transitions properly?

Yeah, apparently the forum software starts having trouble with the thread after 20k. I believe it's more around 25k (my guess) but the limit was set to make sure its difficult to go over. It isn't automatic though, mods close threads that reach that amount manually, so (as you might have seen with the absolutely massive Smash Bros Dojo Thread) it is possible to go over.
 
My routine typically allows for about 7 hours of sleep on the weekdays. Lately I've been waking up naturally at 6 hours and then I force myself to try to go back to sleep for the next hour.

I know about the 3-hour cycle thing... should I just stay up at 6 hours or should I try to get as much sleep as possible?
 
Why is cereal so expensive in America?

From what I saw in New York, it comes in at about twice as expensive as here in England, and that's factoring in the exchange rate.
 
Are there any men out there who like Jem and the Holograms? I've watched a few episodes and I must say I'm starting to get addicted to it. :P

Where were you in New York? If you were in NYC I imagine its more expensive there compared to the rest of the country. Probably at least $1 more expensive than you'd find in a suburban or rural area. Cereal here for brand names generally runs from about $3 - $4.50 or so (1.83 to 2.75 pounds). Those are huge boxes though. They're like a 1/3 the size larger when I was a kid so US cereal boxes might be bigger than in the UK. Also, we have a ton of off brand or store brand cereals that are exactly the same as the brand names but are only like $2 to $3 (1.22 to 1.83 pounds).

- Juniors can't make threads. They are much more likely to get permabanned for any shenanigans.

- You can't. There used to be a more robust search feature but it killed the servers. Evilore has said that they are working on reenabling search sometime soon.

Is it a crash to the desktop with an error message, or does the PC lock up/freeze? In my experience, game crashes are usually a result of overheating, dodgy ram, or a patch being needed. If I were you, I'd eliminate the first two possibilities, then check the official threads for both of the games you mentioned and see if other people are having the same problem.

You'd probably have more luck posting about this problem in the Build your own PC thread, or the Deus Ex: HR thread.

Edit: I use a combination of Windows Memory Diagnostic and Memtest86 when checking for memory faults.
 
When I've been plugging in my external HD into my PC it hasnt been sshowing that 'safely remove hardware' thing to eject it. Is there any way to find it or another way to eject it? I'm using Windows 7 btw
 
Is there anyway on Neogaf to change how long until threads default to nothing new? What I mean is right now most of the time when I pull up the forum the entire first page all yes a yellow icon next to it which I can click on to take me to most recent unread post. But on page 2 everything has a grey icon regardless of whether I have read it or not. Is there anyway to change that to 5 pages, or 10? Sometimes the second page will be yellow, but most of the time it is not.

If they are infrequent and seem to only occur sporadically, I would guess it might be a canker sore. Usually they develop because of a diet related issue.

I can't test this since I don't have an external handy, but I think you should be able to type 'windows key + e' to open windows explorer, right click the external drive and select Eject.
 
ok , So my gf just went to Netherlands today. Her mom who lives in a dif country constantly heard about me and knew me and her daughter were close friends( she thinks I'm gay- but I'm bi :p ) Anyway so her mom just sent me a text message today saying :

A couple of weeks ago, I finished working for a videogames developer, where I was on a temporary contract.

I have since applied for a similar role at another developer, and I think I have a very good chance of getting it, as I've done the role already, but I noticed that my old contract stipulates that I can't work for any competitor within six months of me leaving.

The really annoying thing is that I would have liked to stay at my old job, and my supervisor said he would have happily took me on, but all the vacancies are budgeted for student placements, as they're cheaper to hire.

Does anybody know how strict companies usually are on this rule? I'll be extremely pissed off if I've been let go from a job I enjoy and know I can do well, and then forbidden from even doing the same role elsewhere.

It's not like I worked in a creative capacity; I was customer support.

I have the same problem. And the yellow icons on "Gaming Forum" don't take me to the most recent unread post, and they disappear refreshing the page or going to second, third... etc page.

Also, I can't login without using the "Save" check.
 
Is there a way to play videos one after the other on my PS3? ideally, there would be a playlist option, but even playing in file order in the XMB would be okay...

And it doesn't have to actually be dumb. It might just be something you want other people to perceive as dumb. Or just standard in-group signaling.

Why did the Terminator in T1 get a fucking haircut? He's a machine on a mission whose only concern is to terminate Sarah Connor. Why did he bother to cut his hair?

Also it's been so long since I saw it but did he cut it himself or go to a barber or something? Makes no goddamn sense.
 
So, would it be possible for a computer programming whiz to independently port a game like RDR to PC that would be playable? I know it'd be illegal but still wondering. Thanks!
 
I got BT infinity a few days ago and when I try to search for the access point on my Wii, it's not there. It was there on my phone and laptop. Anything I can do about this?

Nope. It's a different CPU instruction set. Would need an emulation layer. And that after decryption.

Is there a website/program that can convert more than one youtube video at the same time? The ones I see on the internet only allow you to input one youtube link at a time.
