bought a used NB months ago and it came with a fresh W7 installation and a key, i stupidly didn't format it and installed my own and began to use it. sure enough microsoft tells me now that my software is not valid. i have an unused academic key but i don't want to reinstall is there a way to simply change the key?

start > right click "Computer" on the right sidebar > hit properties > scroll to bottom > click change product key

I have a stupid question for you. How did you install W7 on it without a disc drive? I've wanted to do it to mine but I could never work out how to do it.
 
I've always felt like the inbox limit on this site has always been 50, but now it says that we have a maximum of 1000. Is that really true?

This is on the Professional version, it may be disabled on Home. I'd format.
 
Is there a good video anywhere on the net that demonstrates the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps? I've watched a couple youtube videos that are supposed to demonstrate it but none of them seem to show any sort of difference to me, which apparently has something to do with Youtube videos not actually streaming above 29.7 fps or something...


Anyway, some help would be appreciated. :)
 
My computer restarted today out of nowhere and it immediately went to the system repair function. It constantly goes to it after it restarts. Is there anyway I can get around this? I don't even know whats u with it.
 
I can't be the only one who has some stupid grey/semi transparent dot or line in one of his eye that just follow you everywhere you look? Everytime i look to the left, it shows up! It's very easy to see on a white surface or the blue sky. Very distracting when driving a car. Shit has been there for over a year and its starting to get me crazy. :( The dot isnt visible on the surface of the eye of course, its something only i can see. I checked google and some people says its normal and eventually can leave by itself, but damn... do i have to wait years for this to be gone?

Not a lot you can do.
 
If the floaters get worse, see an Opthamalogist. You could be getting retinal detachment/displacement.

My vision is pretty much covered I'd say about 20-25% of floaters. I see them all the time. Apparently nothing is wrong with me, and there is nothing so far that can be done about them. Sucks.

I only got 1 floater(small grey dot connected by 1 long thin semi-transparent line), doesnt seem to get more of them since it started back in june of last year, but the line is much easier to see this year. I wish i at least had some signs it was getting better, but nothing so far... =/
 
Quick question, in a coffe shop in Seoul, there was a cool look system over the bar with plastic bottles and tubes pouring water in and out of it. It has two bottles of MC2 on the system, like N2O actually. My chemical skills are lacking. What MC2 is ? Could it be a fancy water filtration system ?

Is it possible to re-attach a belt loop to a pair of jeans? I have a bad habit of using them to yank my pants up and in the process one of them is just hanging on by a thread.
 
Are there animated wallpapers available, or would those be too resource heavy? It would be awesome to have a wallpaper like a starry sky with the stars subtly twinkling or a shooting star going by every so often.

Well, not everyone who's religious or believes in some sort of faith follows it completely, they just know that they're doing some stuff that probably doesn't quite sit right with their god and decide "fuck it." Also stuff like confessional and forgiveness are major parts of some religion, so the church acknowledges that unless you're the son of god or something you're probably going to end up committing a fair amount of sins throughout the course of your life. In fact there are people who have lived lives of sin and later became a saint through repentance.

I've looked for these too, but no luck. I think modern computers should handle it.
 
so this rented room i live in doesn't have any screens on its windows. im noticing lots of small bug bites near my ankles and im guessing its because i leave the windows cracked at night since its so hot.

other option is bed bugs.... :/

how would you guys go about constructing a replacement for a mesh window screen? best idea i have so far is crazy glue/caulk and a strip of screen from hardware store, but that seems like it will end up looking very amateurish

If you're new to anime, Cowboy Bebop is a safe choice. Or maybe Paranoia Agent for a mindfuck, or Gurren Laggan for something really stylistic.

Well i'm not totally new, but i know about nothing about contemporary releases.
I've already seen Cowboy Bepop (excellent anime). Never heard about paranoia agent or Gurren laggan, so i will follow your advice and look for them, thanks!

I spent a while looking into whether there was any point to recording at 60 FPS as opposed to 30. I learned that YouTube only renders at 30 FPS regardless of what you upload. People often believe that it can render at 60, but this was only true for old videos that were 240p. These days, a 720p video at 60 FPS is too large for the servers.

So basically there is no reason to record higher than 30 FPS unless it's for your own personal enjoyment.

I'm looking for an easy way to take my itunes playlist and copy it and paste into a format that's easy to read, or upload on the net, so I can send it to my friends who keep asking about songs I've been playing at parties and such. Is there a way to upload a playlist online so people can browse it, or do I have to settle with just copying the names down?
 
Is it kind of asinine when people are driving in parking lots and just cut across a row of spaces at moderate speed, seemingly without even looking, as though it's just an empty field? I have had so many occasions when I'm about to exit a parking space, and some idiot comes barreling diagonally across several spaces, crossing the aisle between the rows, and then doing the same across the next row.
 
I'm looking for a free site for translation from Russian to English. It would be for occasional usage, but I'd like it as accurate as possible. What does GAF recommand?
