For word 2011:

-go to "view" on the ribbon
-in the "show" category, click on the box that says "ruler"
-at the top of the screen it shows your indents (little grey triangles facing each other on the ruler), move the bottom indent (the hanging indent) to the place where you want the second column of text to start.

There you go, pimpdaddy. Now go make a million dollars on a start-up company.
Thanks guys. Tab button it is, holy shit, that was easy. I will surely remember you guys when I get rich :D

I forgot to add that when you do it my way you then have to hit tab to go to the second column. This is the best way to do it, because then you don't have to hit "tab" a bunch of times if you want the 2nd column over to be farther to the right, and it give you more exact placement of the 2nd column.

If you're in a different version of Word, just make sure the rulers are showing on the top and side of the document, (find this option on the view menu tab, or view ribbon tab) and follow the same procedure.

Is there an official place to download updated Windows OS images? The one I have is back from when Windows 7 launched and I'm tired of having to install SP1 every time I decide to reformat. I don't know of a way to get a newer one though.

Bros help. I have a lot of PDF documents and manuals that I will be reading and most of my reading I do it in the bathroom. So, which of these tablets has the best screen and PDF apps for this task?
- Asus Eee Pad Transformer
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
- Ipad 2

Or do you recommend a Kindle DX? Although I've read not very favorable reviews about it's PDF support.

It seems that Galaxy and Ipad 2 have nice PDF apps, but I can't find anything about the Eee Pad, and even though it also runs Honeycomb there seem to be incompatibilities with some apps, so I'm not sure about it.

I need help remembering a story from a book I read when I was younger. The book was illustrated pretty well and one of the stories in the book was about a samurai who was trying to cross a bridge that had a sleeping dragon on it. I believe the dragon woke up as he was trying to pass but I don't remember much else.

That ring a bell for anyone?

So I got a new TV for my apartment a couple weeks ago. I haven't used it for anything besides the 360 yet but today I tried scanning for channels so I can be ready for Modern Family and NBC Thursdays. I have cable through the university which comes in at terrible fuzzy SD quality so I was hoping I could pick up some of the major ones in HD over the air. It got channel 9-1 which I think was Fox but when I did a rescan I lost that one! Has anyone had experience with this sort of thing?

tl;dr how do I get NBC and ABC in HD over the air?

Get an HD antenna. Look it up on Amazon for reviews and/or go to a local store that has an electronics department.

I pick up all the locals in HD with mine. Since I rarely watch TV I don't have cable and this suits me fine.

Do you scoop your Peanut Butter and Jelly with the same knife/spoon? Cause if you're sloppy you can get some Peanut Butter in the Jelly and the other way around.

How do you link to an individual tweet on Twitter? I feel like there must be something simple I'm missing.
Highlight a tweet from someone's list, and click the "__ hours/minutes ago" link. Then you can copy/paste the url.

Hello question answering GAF.

A while a go I decided to stop drinking soda. I find drinking water all the time a bit bland so drink a lot of flavoured sparkling water. Now I always assumed that it was as healthy as you could get before plain old water. However my mother just joined some fitness thing, and they told her she couldn't drink that stuff, but could have Coke Zero. Here's the nutrition stats. Is there something I'm missing here? Like some sort of sneaky thing they don't tell you about?

Nutrition / Per 100ml / Per 250ml / % based on GDA

Energy / 8kJ, 2kcal / 20kJ, 5kcal / -, 0.3%

Protein / trace / trace / -
Carbohydrate / 0.2g / 0.5g / 0.2%
Total Sugars / 0.2g / 0.5g / 0.6%
Fat / trace / trace / -
Saturates / trace / trace / -
Fibre / trace / trace / -
Salt / trace / trace / -
Sodium / trace / trace / -

For some reason my windows 7 laptop won't recognize the ethernet cable anymore. I was looking at the properties of the wired connection and by accident hit "disable". Does anyone know how to fix this?

I start with the peanut butter and have squeezable jelly.

However, I hate them mixing before merging the bread so I take a piece of paper towel and wipe the knife off.

Actually a crappy HD antenna at Walmart would do the trick unless you're not in the same city as the local channels.

I paid about 7 bucks for one for the TV in my kitchen and it pulls in everything local and Louisville station which is about 65 miles away.

Found CoolTV which is like MTV from 20 years ago.

Looks fine to me. There's probably research about it online too.

What is the burden of proof in an appeals case? Does the defense have to prove the innocence of the accused or just make it seem reasonable that he didn't commit the crime?

Start with peanut butter, and butter the one piece of bread, then wipe the extra peanut butter off on the other piece of bread and go back for the jelly with the same knife. Like a boss B|

Criminal - beyond a reasonable doubt
Civil - preponderance of evidence

Stupid Question: What's up with the sunset meme? I don't get it...
It means you want to travel to a place where something awesome is happening, for example 19 year old babysitters giving the children they care for drugs and ass.

I believe the first one was Mexico legalizing a drug.

I think a friend is trying to harrass me by sending me obnoxious emails through fake email addresses. how do I know its him. How do i find who the sender is and where he is from.

Is it normal that I cannot make my voice go high? I'm a 20 yo guy, and I can't even make the "WHOO HOO" noise that others usually make at, like, sporting events. I just can't muster any loud or high pitched sounds. :(

You have a bass voice. I have one as well, it's nothing to worry about.

Call the cyber police to backtrace it.

When you're meeting a guy friend at a bar for drinking and food, if you get there early, fo you go inside and sit at the bar counter and get a drink, scope out the place or do you stand out front and wait for him to show up before heading in?

Go get a drink, secure a table if appropriate.

Congratulations, you're a man.

Can anyone explain in layman's terms exactly what it is that causes a system to crash while experimenting with OCing? I have an ASUS mobo, for which you can use a program called EPU-6 to fiddle with OC settings in Windows. I was trying different settings, and found that, while I was running Windows XP, I couldn't get much beyond +10% before the system immediately crashed. Now that I've installed Win7, I have kept it at +15% while playing some games, and found that it holds stability just fine. Out of curiosity, I kept nudging it up a bit, and found that I could get it to 18%, although I didn't run any games at that speed, but once I nudged it up just one more percent, it then immediately crashed. What makes that extra 25MHz cause the CPU to choke?

I bet if you yell a whole lot, I bet you might rip your vocal chords. The wind from your lungs hitting the rip might create a high pitched sound that you could take advantage of. If you rip them up a whoooole bunch, then maybe you'll ONLY be able to make high pitched noises. That could be cool, right?

But for reals, if you practice in the right way, I bet you could widen your range, and hopefully (for my sake) even get some mega smooth falsetto going (so you can sing me to sleep). Maybe go to a vocal coach, or at least look up techniques online or buy an audiobook with vocal exercises to train your vocals. It'll probably make your everyday speech sound better as well, and allow you to be more expressive when you want to be.
