If you're logged in, you can click on "Discussions" at the top of the forums, scroll down and you will see a list of currently online users. Your name will always be first, click on it and you can view your profile.
 
Is there a free program that will grab a sequence of frames from a video and save them as images? Something quicker than doing "frame, capture, frame, capture" manually...
 
Okay, I accept the fact that Jem is truly outrageous, but are they truly, truly, TRULY outrageous? Because that makes them skip a 'truly', and I'm a strong believer in not skipping ranking exaggerisms when it comes to animated hair bands of the 80's.

So GAF, are they or are they not truly, truly, TRULY outrageous?

And by they I mean Jem and the Holograms...

Gom Player is good. There's a "burst capture" feature, you can set how many frames you want captured and the delay between then.

If I'm understanding your question: cheese is made in rounds/wheels for easier transport and then cut into wedges because, well, that's how you evenly cut something that's circular.

No, I don't think we're thinking of the same thing. Well maybe we are.

This is what I'm talking about. If you look at the economics behind this packacking, for example, the circular shape of these "wheels" means that they can package a lot less cheese into one truck for example. And this is soft cheese, it's not like it has to be made into triangles for whatever reason. Well that's my understanding anyway. I can put up some other pictures if we're still not on the same page.
 
Maybe they make them into triangles because it's a type of tradition? That's my guess.

And by the way, that orange avatar is so simplistic, but so cool at the same time. I can't stop looking at it.

Indeed. My girlfriend actually lived with my parents and I for about 9 months before we got our own place. It helps to have more or less of a basement suite (sans kitchen) so we could keep our space and also to have cool parents.

Why can't we talk about piracy but discussion on how to kill yourself, smoke and grow marijuana, and the use of other illegal drugs is okay?
 
Has youtube basically been fucked for anyone else the past couple of days? It loads, but takes about 5-10 minutes, and then a 2 minute video might take 20 minutes to load. But everything else is fine.

The circular shape of many cheeses is both traditional and practical. Could they technically fit more into a space if it were square? Yes, but when it's initially being made, the cheese needs room on all sides for air circulation that encourages the growth of the rind; it wouldn't form properly, if at all, in the more "fitted" storage style that a flat-sided shape would dictate. The rind is also important because it helps to build the complexities of flavor in the cheese and keep it moist. This firmer exterior can function almost like a container for especially soft cheeses -- the top of a whole wheel can be cracked open like the lid of a can -- and even when they're cut and sold as wedges, these soft varieties are left with the rind on. If you're buying, say, a shapeless glob of Brie in a "normal" supermarket package, it's probably not very good in the first place. :)

Unless you mean a single wedge of cheese is sometimes sold in a round exterior package, which, I agree, wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, but I've never seen this being done.

This has bothered me for quite a long time, as well, although one of these things is not like the other...
Suicide isn't illegal in most places.
You've got to love how we aren't given any explanation, either, since questions about the double standard are just squashed.

Has there ever been mention of the gaf "management" improving the spoiler tag? Highlighting everything in spoiler's is annoying as hell and would function better if it was like it is on other forums like SA where you just hover over the spoiler text and it reveals.

How do I burn a DVD on my mac? I'm trying to make one run in a DVD player. I tried using iMovie, but it won't work. I also downloaded an open source program called "burn" and it's telling me that it fails to "author" the DVD. Neither the mpg or avi version of the file will work.
 
Is there a decent - FREE - program out there that will allow me to create my own gifs from movies?

I feel pretty confident in answering this as a "no". I've searched so fucking much, and the most I ever found was a trial or two, usually with ridiculous limitations on them even then.

Because piracy is wrong, you steal from game companies (hense, this is a gaming forum). You steal games that the companies worked so hard to make for people but get stolen from stupid pirates.
