Is it ok to use a 360 to play DVDs? Will it cause un-due wear & tear on the 360 that will lead to red rings?
completely unrelated stories. you'll be fine, although you should really play earthboundRedShift said:More gaming side but whatever,
Will Mother 3 make any sense if I never played all the way through EarthBound?
I watch DVDs on my 360 all the time.PantherLotus said:Is it ok to use a 360 to play DVDs? Will it cause un-due wear & tear on the 360 that will lead to red rings?

i have a friend who works in a Solon and every time i go there to see her, she starts telling her client(s) isn't he handsome....blah blah....
obviously you don't expect them to say no.
With 2 speakers you aren't getting the sound as intended (if its a never movie with a sorround mix).tapedeck said:This is kind of a hard question to word without getting confusing, here goes...
I have just a standard 2 speaker stereo system, Im running the 2 channel audio from my ps3 to my stereo. If I'm playing a Blu-ray on my ps3, and go to the audio options (on the disc) to set it to stereo, and the only options are 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound...does that mean the disc doesn't support basic 2 speaker stereo, or is that always supported but just not listed as an option? In other words, if Im running just 2 channel audio, am I getting surround sound pushed through 2 speakers, and therefore getting the sound not as intended? Or does every blu-ray contain a seperate stereo sound file even if the only audio options listed are 5.1 or 7.1?
Basically I want proper stereo sound while watching blu-rays, how do I make sure Im getting it lol.
Edit: yes, my ps3 is set to stereo sound, Im just wondering about the on disc options.

1. 2 years ago I sat down in an awkward position for many hours when working on an art project.
2. This obviously led to med having a sore neck and very limited range of movements for weeks
3. After some time I went to the doctor who directed me to a physiotherapist who took his sweet little time to print me an A4 of excercises
4. Doing these didnt help at all... and I really did them for a long while without any results
fast forward to today,
it still hurts, every single day even though I'm a 22 year old student who works out every other day, healthy living etc etc etc
My upper trapezius hurts soo much I dont know what to do
I went to harvard and studied there for a term, while I was there I befriended a dude whose dad had an medical diploma/surgeons eductation from john hopkins, him and me sat down and he told me what I should do in order to get better which was
Do : use icepacks to cool the muscles, stretch, workout the muscle gently
Dont : overuse heatpacks, dont stretch the neckmuscles with any other movement than your neck. Dont do heavy lifting
I've been following this dudes advice but alas no result. It still hurts, I've been over every single god damn aspect of my life from my motherfucking clothes to my pillow, changing EVERYTHING but nothing helps...
Once I stood with a knife in my hand THIS close to jamming it in my neck/shoulder/uuper trapezius just so I would get surgery and maybe just maybe they would find something to fix in my neck.
This is as low as I can sink I guess, asking random gaffers for help...what else is there to do ? :S
DVD drive usage won't lead to RROD. It can cause additional normal wear to the DVD drive causing it to fail sooner than not viewing DVDs, but this is not really measurable.PantherLotus said:Is it ok to use a 360 to play DVDs? Will it cause un-due wear & tear on the 360 that will lead to red rings?
Mars said:OK - I've been making chiptune tracks with LittleSoundDJ in a gameboy color emulator, but I have no idea how to get the sound files into Audacity. I realize there is a method for getting the .wavs from the .sav files, but my version of LSDJ (which is NOT a demo version) doesn't seem to even have the save option, so I've just been saving save states of my songs.
So, I am wondering what I should do. Should I:
a) Try to fix/find the save feature
b) Find a program to record my mac's audio output (is there ANY free solution for this? Saw Wiretap Pro but that certainly is not free [70$!])
or the crazy alternative of
c) Run my computer's audio through my Toneport UX2, through my Yamaha Motif ES8, back through the toneport inputs and then let that go back to the computer. HOWEVER, will this cause something horrible to happen? Looping stuff through itself seems dicey. I would naturally have the toneport not monitor the input so there would be feedback but... I just don't know.
I realize this is complex and probably totally bananas, but please help me out if you can :[

My question of the day: HD is great, but I'm also an avowed frame rate whore. Sooo any worthwhile Blu-rays with a lot of 60 fps content?

It's an amplifier. I forgot every bit of that course though, so I can't help further. The triangle thing is an op-amp, operational amplifier. It doesn't look like any of the basic amps either... Yeah, sorry. If I was at home I could probably dig out my notes and find something more useful.eggybob said:So i'm film student and they've asked me to talk about this:

You need to see an Applied Kinesiologist.
I don't have any suggestions, but I think you should post this in its own thread.

Check the keyboard tab in your regional settings. I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 and I don't have this issue. You could always use Alt + 0128 instead if you can't find a proper solution.MagniHarvald said:Why doesn't Alt Gr + E not work in Windows 7? (It should do the euro symbol)
Maybe you should try going to a naprapat (it's called that here in sweden, not sure what it is in english). They're pretty much the same as a chiropractor, but with a slightly different approach. My dad has had back pains for a very long time, because of a work accident, and the pains got better after he went to a naprapat.Corky said:Have never heard about them, guess they dont exist here in sweden
Yeah guess I might awell get this a bit more exposure before I fucking give up
Been there, done that, no results.
Got a number to the physiotherapist of my regions elite athletes, hopefully he will succeed where all others have failed.

Here's a link to the page I used. Essentially, grab Soundflower, and Audio Recorder. You only want to change the sound output in System Preferences to Soundflower, and then configure Audio Recorder to record from Soundflower. Turn off monitoring (you'll get echoes), and record.
