Another cooking question: how in the hell do I cook eggs on a stainless steel pan without making a huge fucking mess? Both fried and scrambled eggs are turning out horrible.

What were you using to grease the pan? And what exactly is the nature of your problem? Something burning, sticking, etc?

At first I read that as 'desk'. I was thinking "man some people must work in some real ghetto offices".komarkaze said:I had a problem with multiple wasp nests under my deck over the summer.

I think I once read this is for situations where there might be a malfucntion and the teleprompters bug out.Ezalc said:When news anchors are saying the news they have little papers in front of them. What's the point of that if they read everything from a teleprompter? Also sometimes they write stuff on there, what are they writting? These thoughts have plagued my mind for decades.

A basic physical at one of those in-store clinics might be able to provide the latter.
Depends how far away you sit currently and will with the larger lower res set, but yeah, most likely. The S-Word said:50 inch plasma samsung 720p... will i notice this is not 1080p? I have a 32 inch 1080p as we speak...

I think they have notes or a copy of the teleprompter stuff to make sure pronunications or the proper degree of seriousness is displayed.MNC said:I think I once read this is for situations where there might be a malfucntion and the teleprompters bug out.

A serious answer: buy the cheapest one you can find. The signal is passed digitally. A $5 cable will perform exactly the same as a $100 one.weekend_warrior said:Monster Cable. Otherwise the aliens are gonna steal your signal.

Rei_Toei said:What would cost more energy (electricity): a fridge close to fully packed with stuff or an empty fridge? My gut feeling is that when a fridge is packed with stuff, it'll take less energy to keep it at a certain temperature after the products are cooled down. Thoughts?
ultron87 said:If the fridge is starting cold in both cases it shouldn't matter. Since the amount of heat entering the fridge through insulation leaking and whatnot is constant regardless of what is contained within the fridge the amount of cooling it needs to do is also constant.
I think a fridge packed with stuff would take longer to cool everything down if it started at a higher temperature, since air should be significantly easier to cool than whatever the item in the fridge is.
All this of course is independent of when the most temperature change occurs, which is when you open the door.
Lionel Mandrake said:Is there anywhere I can view an example for of a manuscript (for a novel)? I'm supposed to write one and I'm having difficulty getting started. I've found some instructions on how to format and such, but I'd much prefer to actually see what one should look like. It would be even better if it was for a book I was familiar with, such as a public domain story, but at this point I'm not going to be picky. I've Googled around and haven't been able to find a suitable example, and many of the sites seem to be trying to sell me something, or trying to infect my computer, or both. Any help would be appreciated.
