how can i create a thread? i've been a member here for a while and i'm still unable to do that.

i want to created a thread that helps members find similar songs to the one that they're in love at the moment. for ex: i'm looking for a song that is similar to neyo's "so sick", another member can help me by putting "let me love you, hard to breathe etc."

You're still a junior member.

oh okay, thanks for the help summaryman and salva.

what is the best and cheap internet service provider to play online gaming on the ps3?

and what you guys think of clear 4g?

What audio formats besides .mp3 does verizon support for ringtones (if any others at all)? I wonder this because when using the email method to send ringtones to my phone some ringtones end up sounding better then others.

Is there a photo anywhere on the internet of a man offering someone else their seat on a bus? I could really do with it for some coursework. I tried a bunch of different searches on Google but came up with nothing.

Anyone?

It depends by phone, not by Verizon. Some phones are limited in the types of MP3s they read, or look for wav or other files. It would be easier if you posted what phone you have.

what do you do with an idiot friend who thinks its funny to shout racial slurs in your apartment late at night and doesn't listen when you tell him to shut up? :\

edit: he's not actually racist, just one of those idiots who thinks he's being edgy. I minded a lot because I have a black family below me, hispanic guy to the right, asian family to the left, and asian family above me.

I have a samsung gleam. What I'm trying to figure out is if I use a different file format when sending tone to my phone if it would make the certain songs sound better.

Tell him to shut the fuck up and don't feed him pizza.

If you're friends with any of the families, ask one of them to come over next time he's shouting and scare the crap out of him. (Works best if you have a large male do it.)

We all know which family would be preferable to ask.

ah, this is a great idea! unfortunately, I'm not friends with them and I'm a little embarrassed to see them because they definitely heard this guy.

probably just not going to have him over anymore.

I'm having trouble with a mini SD card. It's a Transcend 2GB. Anytime I try to delete anything off of it or put something on, it gives me an error code and says something like "I/O device error." If I try to format it, it either says it's not able to format it or it just keeps formatting for hours. I've been trying forever to get it to work. Should I just get a new one or can I fix this somehow?

Try this http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic219693.html/page__view__findpost__p__1525464

Or try formatting it in a camera.

Both are assuming you have a standard SD adapter.

Thanks for the link. If you know how to do that, can you explain this part to me?
3) Type "SELECT DISK 2" (if your USB is disk 2; replace # with your disk #); Diskpart will confirm that "Disk 2 is now the select disk."
Do I select the disk number that is my SD card or do I select my hard drive?
My hard drive is listed as disk 0 and my SD is listed as disk 1.

Oh I definitely should have warned you. If you select your own HDD you're going to very upset. You want to be sure that you are doing this to the SD; it's a high level format.

Okay that's what I thought :p Formatting my hard drive would not be fun. I'll try formatting my SD now and see how it goes.

EDIT: DISKPART> DELETE PARTITION

DiskPart cannot delete volumes on removable media.

This thing does not want to give up :( Oh well, I'll probably just buy a new one. Thanks for your help though.

Holy crap it's the Christmas Wallpaper guy. I thought you got perma'd.

Posting again, sorry...

Ignore my previous post, it worked. I used the command CLEAN instead of DELETE PARTITION 1, and it worked. Thanks a ton for the link!

So I was checking out Google Earth like usual when I have nothing to do, and I was over Texas. Can someone please tell what the hell is going on in the county Sutton?? There's a wide spread suburbian area there in the city of Sonora but where's the houses!? It looks like a ghost town :S

No, I was permanent junior'd though.

Edit: After looking at a thread that labeled someone a "hipster" I started thinking. Why do we have labels for everyone? I admit that I label myself a nerd but why? Is it to make us feel like were something special?

Tax filing question: is there an 'official' e-file for federal taxes? I thought I used one last year, but I'm at the IRS site and all I see are links to 3rd party e-filing sites.

Humans are really good at abstracting, categorizing, marking unique properties. Whatever the label is, it's just a sound for reference to a category, and you can understand the sound as a stand-in for a picture (technically, we abstract mostly in visual terms, but can translate easily to sound, thankfully).
The more known the sound is, the more effective the label is. The labeling is insofar an expression of our most basic intelligence mechanism of abstraction, and its pervasiveness, sometimes rudeness, shock value etc. an expression of social intelligence at work.
This process is pretty much automated, the amount of influence you have over that whole job is surprisingly small.

What wolfmat said, but also: in-group/out-group signaling.

What they said, but also stereotyping. It's not always negative, and reduces the cognitive load when trying to categorise.

why does some poop float and some poop sink?
Hard stool that sinks = not drinking enough water.
Floaters = too much fat in diet.

sidenote: my favorite pooping euphamism, taking the Browns to the Superbowl

The second is definitely not true. Vegans and vegetarians poop almost always floats. It's something in the diet but it's not fat.

Do you know where I can find a free of rights/ copyleft image like this one ?

it's for a contest... (I can't pay, but I can put a (c) "name" on the bottom )

Thanks for your help !

Why do dogs circle an area before sitting down?
It's a ritualistic behavior passed on by their wild ancestors. They're basically stomping down and flattening the area they're laying in as though there was vegetation or branches on the ground in the way. It may also be to kind of "set up" their space, in the wild they would bunch up and sleep together so circling may be a way to make sure they have enough room to lay down.

Divorce question. I need to get a divorce as cheaply as possible. Can I do this without both of us having lawyers, or lawyers being involved at all? We have no assets, no bank accounts, homes, cars, kids, there's no contention for anything. We're both unemployed, she's moving in with her parents and I'm going.. uh somewhere. Anyway, we don't need to provide for each other. Ideally I'd like this to go in the exact same way the marriage did, we bought a license then had a justice of the peace type person do the "ceremony". I'd love to handle the divorce the same way, if possible. What are my options? Thanks in advance.

Kill her and bury her body in the desert.

your local county courthouse should be able to provide you with all your options
