When is Nintendo's 21 birthday? Weren't there some drawings of someone supposedly seeing the next-gen console from Nintendo a few months back about Nintendo21?

From blog http://mozlapunk.web-log.nl/log/2574056 ...

I find this post interesting...

rs.ign.com ??!! Use the force dudes!!
What the...?

ok, what's going on?. that engrish-talking blog mentioning rs.ign.com made people go all, "that's where the rev would be". So, I did some digging. the ip of all game system on ign's virtual host thingy (*inser_game_console*.ign.com) is the same, and ends with 122. rs.ign.com is the same, but ends with 119.
Ok, that's fine.

The real interesting thing however, is that when you do a dns-lookup on the ip of rs.ign.com , you don't get rs.ign.com, you get o.download.theforce.net . try to connect to that site, and you won't find it. that's because an dns-lookup on the name "o.download.theforce.net" does not resolve. there is download.theforce.net and o.theforce.net , but both are hosted by theforce.net which is a star wars fanpage. why would ign make their ip resolve to something like o.download.theforce.net . ign has nothing to do with the theforce.net site afaik...

Very interesting indeed. hope someone really finds out what it's all about.

Revolution speculation by Aries a hoax, GameBunker writer was the perpetrator.

UPDATED: Just thought you guys should know, Phoenix Dark's forum name has been changed to Aries, he doesn't know about this change and is probably gonna be pretty upset. But as administrator of the forums, I think it's time he chooses a name and comes clean.

It's true, and in the prior hours it's come to be that not only do people not trust me over this, but I've already got the usual string of gay porn and such to protest what I said.

Here's some news about Nicholas Wilson (Nightwing); I am probably one of the biggest Nintendo fans on the planet, a fanboy I suppose you could say, when Revolution was announced and detailed at the conference, I was happy as hell. Perhaps I was sad I didn't get to see these new games we hear so much about, but SSB online is something good enough to wait for I think.

In short the answer to the question you're looking for is: no, Aries knows nothing about the Revolution outside of simple guesses.

Phoenix Dark (our own writer here); concocted the whole scheme on his own, he was just trying to generate hype for the console and see if he could counter the popularity Brooke at BrokenSaints got. Well he succeeded, people the world over now believe there is a mysterious Nintendo employee out there named Aries. The truth is there is no such person. Aries posted under the comments of the Brokensaints.com blog so his IP could not be easily taken up by the admins and given to me.

Believe what you will, but Aries is not going to surface again to give you anymore insider info; he never had any and he certainly doesn't have any now. Maybe tomorrow Aries -will- talk; maybe Phoenix Dark will fess up and put a post here to explain that it's over, there is no secret announcement and that you can all go to sleep tonight. But if he doesn't, I suppose you could continue to speculate; I know there is no proof on this earth I can give you, you cannot learn my character in mere hours. You're welcome to try though; if you want, read the GB boards here, find out who Nightwing is, what he likes; how he acts. See if you think I'm dishonest, evil, canniving; or an Xbox fanboy.

If you do want real information on this, talk to the man himself; his email is listed on the staff page. For the background again: Aries is just finishing high school, he isn't in any high level programming class, nor does he know how the interior of something like the Revolution would work. He took a few guesses at the kind of software he'd like to see (he said Square support, not FF:CC, doesn't that clue you in?); and Smash Bros. Online is something anyone could have guessed (it is afterall the most successful Gamecube title). He's a great guy and you shouldn't hate him, but you should know there is no secret coming.

Right here I'm going to provide you with what little evidence I have as "proof" that Phoenix Dark is Aries, first is a bunch of PMs between me and him, several weeks ago as a matter of fact. These are in chronological order, a conversation that took place between myself and Phoenix Dark that honestly I didn't believe at first.

http://www.bunkerforums.com/showthread.php?t=7617&highlight=revolution In that topic he links the BrokenSaints forums, this is before the Aries legacy began I believe... so you know he had already been to BrokenSaints.

Drinky's post is actually Nintendo's on version of ilovebees.
Except that it leads no-where.
The benefit it is that it does keep Nintendo fans from jumping ship to Sony on MS. They know that if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if the light is not real, it will help Nintendo's current fanbase from going anywhere else.

Anyway, Nintendo cooked up some special deal w/ Lucas, perhaps? If so, how come M$ didn't think of this first? They are the ones w/ unlimited funds, right?

I wouldn't draw any real conclusions from it, but it is pretty wierd. I tried ps3.ign.com, came up with 216.35.123.121 which has no other DNS association. I also tried some junk IGN address (fdsa.ign.com) which comes up with nothing but the broad IGN admin stuff.

Umm, you do know that TheForce.net has nothing to do with Lucas right? It's a Star Wars fansite, that used to be closely affiliated with TFN and hosted their forums for a while (I'm not totally clear on their current relationship). IGN's FilmForce section was started by some TFN guys from what I recall. Somehow I doubt there's anything to this.

Give it up people. Go to sleep, wake up in the morning and deal with the reality, whatever it may be.

"usual string of gay porn and such to protest what I said."... I can't say that I have ever seen or heard of gay porn being used to protest something someone said, especially concerning games.

Maybe you are getting gay porn for some other "strange" reason. Did you somehow get entangled in a deal with Olimario to trade nude photos for games or a system? I bet that is the source right there. And you know he loves nintendo........ THURSDAYNUDETON
