That's not what he said at all. You're not even trying to promote a discussion.

There isn't a discussion to be had. If you think tigers dying out is a good thing, or even if you're indifferent to it, you're the one that deserves to be shot and skinned.

Where's a sad face gif when you need one? And my sad face doesn't even apply to just tigers, but all animals that in danger of being wiped out due to the wastefulness and stupidity of humanity.

Discussion? The fuck is that shit?

Excuse me for being rational. Go ahead and continue pandering to the knee-jerk reactionary attitude people tend to have towards majestic animals, though.

Look, if it were necessary for tigers to go extinct so that we as humans could advance, I would have to say, go ahead. That being said, I don't think it's necessary, and I don't think human advancement is what's endangering these animals. I admit arbitrary poaching is responsible for a good deal of the death, and I concede that is wrong. But to ignore that there are valid differences of opinion on this issue is absurd.

Fuck poachers and fuck people who use Chinese medicines.

We need to start killing the poachers and selling them as traditional Chinese medicine. It would be great to kill the Chinese medicine people as well but that would be frowned upon, so at least feed them ground-up human dicks.

No, damn it, I love tigers. If I died from being mauled by a tiger I wouldn't even mind.

Cheetahs are on their way out too, I'd kill 10 people to save a cheetah.

Is it possible that legalization of weed could theoretically cut down on paper-usage/lumbering.

I have always read the benefits of hemp paper, but would it be feasible to move towards it? I would think it would be tough to get large quantities like with lumbering but then again it grows so much faster than trees that it could actually be considered renewable.

And yes this is a serious question ``

Actually, I couldn't believe that you jumped from tigers -> hemp in a single post, but it is an interesting proposal nonetheless. :lol

I suppose the fact that we strayed from the usage of hemp comes down to feasability. It is an incredibly durable product, but I imagine to actually produce it into a viable substance is more of a hassle compared to paper.

nooooooo.

tigers are the greatest animal ever.

they're just so majestic. if it were ever possible to domesticate one i'd have one as a pet.

Fucking Chinese need to stop lusting after tiger penises...it's ridiculous that those stupid medicinal myths are still alive and well today. And besides, don't the people hunting these tigers realize that once they're gone they lose their source of income? I mean how stupid can you get.

Many races goes extinct every day, by or not by humans. Is this the "You're a kitty" effect?

Oh fuck, these are cute and cool looking. Fuck this kind of tarantula, we have to save the tigers instead.

It's perfectly reasonable to murder sentient human beings for not being actively involved in the preservation of tigers. Ambivalence deserves death, what's wrong with you?

Does it really matter?

They're wild animals. Wild animals that will fucking kill your ass.
Does this affect the ecosystem in some drastic way?

Haha well honestly it has been something on my mind for a while. And it is true that deforestation is more an issue than poaching. Although they can't be separated that easily anyway. It's a lot easier to poach when we have reduced their natural habitat by like 800%( I don't even know the figures. Just exaggerating.)

This is true, but maybe the hassle is worth it? I mean the biggest problem with the logic is that you would actually need large plots of land to grow it which means cutting down trees anyway. But it still seems better than constant encroachment like we have now.

In a perfect world we would have 50 story sky-scrapers dedicated to hydroponic growing. :D

Well they will not go extinct we have plenty in captivity to keep the tiger alive for a long time. Getting it off the endangered list is the challenge.

Wild tigers do not equal tigers in captivity.

Stop with the pseudo outrage. You have never, and will never do anything to help protect these animals. You probably have never donated even $5 to the WWF, but now youre pretending like you really give two fucks about these animals outside of seeing them on discovery channel or a YouTube video.

This is really sad. Tigers are my favorite animals on this planet. I would hate to see them go extinct or near extinct in my life time : (. Fucking poachers

I'm pretty sure 3200 worldwide is a lost cause. Are the sumatran and snow tigers extinct yet?

It's so weird to think a prominent animal I knew growing up is going to be extinct within my lifetime.

They'll die out eventually at our hand or nature's so it's just not a huge concern to me. So will we for that matter.

Human advancement is much more interesting to me. We should go for gold and race to get off this rock, and if we wipe out a few species and probably ourselves along the way so be it. It's all part of the game and life on earth will go on regardless. Probably not long enough for another evolutionary cycle parallel to ours but oh well.

Why should humans waste the time and energy focusing on getting off this rock when it's the most interesting thing within lightyears?

I will be honest, though, the tiger doesn't offer anything to us other than its continued existence, sort of like art. They should be saved by virtue of the fact that they're fucking awesome.

Yes, it does.

The Tiger is the apex predator in its eco-system. Remove it and there is nothing to keep the other animals population under control.

Ecosystems are balanced, through that balance off and everything goes to shit.
