'tis the season: Activsion drops Family Guy, Ice Age and Walking Dead licences

Bummer about Walking Dead. I really liked Survival Instinct, but with Terminal Reality shuttered a sequel wasn't going to happen anyway.

And this is how licensed gaming dies, people. To the gaming future free of cartoon and movie tie-in shovelware!
They're not gone, they've just moved to phones and browsers.

This just reminds me of why the arkham series, wolverine, the open world hulk game ( ps2, gc, xbox), the first two previous gen transformers games, and Riddick butcher bay were freaks of nature few and far between amongst licensed titles.

They can be shitty games, but I don't like that games can be erased that easy, I fear por the preservation of games in the all-digital future :(

C'mon EA. Grab that Bond license back and give us a remastered AOE/Nightfire/Everything or Nothing :(

I'd just be fine with MS getting the license to release the HD Goldeneye they were hyping a few years ago. I don't see what big publisher is going to get the license now for AAA titles after EA and Activision walked away from it. It's too much of a hassle.

I wonder how long before they drop the SpongeBob licence (if they haven't already). Plankton's Robotic Revenge was just horrible.

Here are the links to the PSN versions in case anyone wants to track them. They might be discounted right before they get pulled, like what happened with Deadpool last year and with Family Guy right now:

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse:
NA version currently on sale for $9.99, EU version

Ice Age: Continental Drift: Arctic Games:
Never released in NA store, EU version, never released in Australia store

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct:
NA version, EU version

Why didn't they have a "Last week; last chance" sale or something the week before they dropped, with the games at -80% or -90%. Might as well squeeze some final money out of them, no? Weird missed opportunity to make some cash.
thats exactly what they did though. family guy and ice age were 80% off last week on steam, for an entire week.

I enjoyed the Walking Dead and Family Guy games, good b-tier games imo.
I never bought them though, I rented them!

Honestly, I'd accepted the fate the the house that once built Pitfall is only going to make Call of Duty. I mean it's not they're using that money to make something worth a damn.

I got the Family Guy game for Christmas and it was a pretty solid romp. My friends and I had some fun with the multiplayer as well.

The NA links aren't working. Did I miss out? And now I'll never be able to play deadpool either. :(
